*NOW COMPLETE* How in the world does Hogwarts come to be doing a performance of The Phantom of the Opera? And just why is Snape so pissed about it?

I have completed my Master's of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and want to focus on serving the LGBTQIA community and the Alt/Kink/Poly communities in my work. I used to be a poker tournament director and floorperson at the world famous Binion's Gambling Hall in downtown Las Vegas. Before that, I was high school Spanish and Theatre teacher. I am happily married and (thankfully) have NO kids. I have an original short story published here: http://www.elm-books.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=R01%2DChristmasBadGirls under my penname, Jess Alynn. Thanks for taking a chance and reading my stories! :)
Oh, and check out the "trailer" for Phantom of Hogwarts that xtahsee made for me on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k63yCE9sslY
Reviews for Phantom of Hogwarts
Wow! That Ginny Weasley is a humdinger! What a friend! I'm sure she'd be just as impressive as an enemy. I wouldn't want to be on her bad side. Hermione and Severus are very lucky to have her as a mutual friend. I'm so glad Severus was able to forgive Hermione. The tea ritual is wonderful between them. I love it. I hope Colin listens and stays away. Now what do we do with Draco? BTW-I hope Hermione remembered to change her wards. Magic is wonderful but it sure adds a layer of extra diligence one must pay attention to every minute of every day and night. Huggs and Kisses for a great chapter. Thanks for fixing them up so fast.

*shifty eyes* I'll confess: Ginny is my shameless self-insertion. So, I am really pleased that you like her! *snort* ;) Thanks as always for reviewing! :)
I do understand his hurt that she didn't recoil from Colin. But he sure knows how to be a mean bastard. Hermione should have stopped Colin. But she's a very kind person and didn't want to hurt the boy's feelings. It's against her nature to be cruel like it's against Severus' to be trusting and forgiving. They both need to work on their extremes and try to meet in the middle. If she had apologized instead of trying to deflect the blame would Severus have forgiven her or made her suffer a little more first? And though she has never complained about him entering her mind without permission, they need to talk about that. I don't think Severus would like her to be able to do that to him. I think Hermione should sneak down with the invisibility cloak as soon as possible and deal with this before it has time to fester and grow worse. She also needs to make it clear to Colin that there isn't a chance she'll change her mind and that it makes her uncomfortable to have him mooning after her. I'll just have to wait and see how you work this out. This has the potential to drag on painfully for a while. I hope it doesn't.

You've hit the nail on the head, darlin--many nails! LOL Yeah, I'm evil in that the angst keeps coming, but at least they're getting better at handling it as they go. :D Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Yay, Neville!!!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL Yay, Neville, indeed! He has become one of my fave secondary characters. *hugs Neville* Thanks for reviewing! :)
Somehow I think she had better inform Severus of her plans to prepare to be deflowered. He felt her hymen and will be suspicious if he notices she has used toys or some such to prepare herself. Maybe he'd be willing to participate in helping her get ready for that event. I hope the book says something about how to talk to your partner about giving up one's virginity. God forbid he use legilimens on her and see the incident at midnight with Colin. She should write him a note ASAP to tell him and let him know she had thought he was going to kiss her on the cheek and that he had no idea she is taken so to please not kill him. Then switch topics telling him how much she loves him, how much she missed him at the party and what she would like to do with him and have him do to her. That way he has time to think it through before she see's him again and hopefully avoid a row.

*evil author grin* Oh, there's bound to be some choppy waters to navigate in this sea of new love... *twirls cartoon villain moustache* LOL Thanks as always for reviewing! :)
Oh wow. I feel like I need a cold shower right now. Seriously. I can just imagine what Severus feels. Lovely work.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL Glad you *cough* enjoyed it *cough*. *snerk* Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Oh, my god, I LOVE this story! I hope you'll keep updating soon! Well, now that I've finished reading it, I might actually get something done at work, now.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL!! Wow, that's awesome. *beams* I've been drwoning in RL woes and stresses for the past couple of months and haven't been able to write like I want to, so the delay in updating is getting longer. *frustrated sigh* But, I can't wait till the semester is over and I'll have time to write again! So glad you've enjoyed it, and thanks so much for reviewing1 :)
What. a. man! I mean that in the best sense! Wow!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Hee! Glad you're still enjoying it, darlin. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
I really really liked when Hermione told Ginny that she would be prepared to obliviate her if she didn't promise to keep the secret to herself. I liked the way Hermione looked at Ginny that told her that this wasn't a game and she clearly drew a line in the sand. Hermione was not kidding. Between Hermione being fully willing to hex her and Severus spilling the beans about her and Harry, I think we can trust Ginny for now. I'm glad that Severus has told her that if he even thinks she's toying with the idea of tellin on them he will obliviate her. I'd say Ginny thought she had the upper hand when she first confronted Hermione, but soon found out she was dealing with a lioness protecting her mate and future of the pride. At least Colin probably go off easy because they had bigger fist to fry. Great chapter. I was stunned and amazed when Severus laughed like he did at the gift exchange. I can't believe that Dumbledore is utterly clueless, but he trusts them.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*bounces* I quite enjoyed writing the intensity of this chapter, so I'm pleased that you liked it! Thanks as always for reviewing! :)
Loved it! So many misunderstandings!!! Lol!!! I bet he's apparated to her room... *looks hopeful*One thing though, it would be 'taxi' not 'cab' which Severus took.I can't wait till the next chapter!!!!!! *threatens RL*
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
See, I had taxi first, but my beta said UK used cab! And when I availed myself of all my Britpicking sites, none of them had any info on it! *grumps* LOL Thank you darlin, I appreciate the help, no matter how much I pout. ;) *hugs* Glad you're still enjoying it, and thanks as always for reviewing! :)
Wheeeee! I'm so glad you updated! I hope you'll be able to get another chapter out soon! I hope to reread the first 60+ chapters again soon. I love this story!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Aww, thank you! *beams* I'm so glad you're enjoying it, and thank you for reviewing! :)
fantastic story - can't wait to read the next part.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* Why, thank you! I'm gald you're enjoying it. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Now I'm getting a bit obsessive - Aspieness FTW :P
Did I ever say first time how much I loved this chapter? I think it has to be one of the best, if not THE best, chapters in the fic. The tension is so palpable and the unspoken lust is so intense... wow! As for coming, right there in front of him.... GAH! Wonderful.
The interplay was awesome, and the truce at the end is a lovely touch. I've always figured that Hermione and Severus would fit like a hand in a glove but I eternally appreciate that you did it in such a believable, such an imperfect, human way.
Winderful - at least as good second time round, if not better. :)
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*heart explodes* Thank you!! *sniffle* The fact that you feel the relationship works in "such a believable, such an imperfect, human way" makes me SOOO happy! *uber-hugs* I try so hard to make things realistic, so you just made my day! :)

Now I have to leave a review here only because it looks so alone and empty without any. Hehe! That, and I forgot that this chapter had it's own uber-hawtness too... the last paragraph is genius, and now I'm stuck with a silky smooth voice there inside my mind..... *sigh*
I loved this line: "She marvelled at the idea of putting Snape and love in the same sentence. It was too fantastical." Oh, Hermione... If only you knew!
I'd also forgotten how annoyed I was with Harry's initial presence, and even moreso this time through. Shoo, Harry, vamoose!
OK, back to the story, and my mingled images of Erik, Ramin and a certain Potions Master in desperate need of some naughtiness and loving.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
If she only knew, indeed! LOL I'm sorry you are annoyed by Harry! He does get better... *attempts winning smile* Thanks for the lovely review, darlin. *hugs* :)

*cough* erk.... It's been a long tme since I read this through again... I forgot you started off with Severus in 1st person instead of 3rd. And OMG I forgot how truly scorching HOT this chapter is.... *fans herself*
It's nice to compare and contrast how much Severus has grown since the start of the fic, and how smooth the progression that I hadn't remembered how big of a change it was without re-reading it. Much kudos. :)
Now I must get back and carry on re-reading... I can't believe I've been watching this grow and bloom for so very long. It's a masterpiece and - like the books - I don't know what I'm going to do with myself when it's all over with. ;)
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*blush* You're so sweet! *hugs
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
* I had the 1st person to serve as a demonstration of his isolation/loneliness, which we see gradually shift as he learns to open up. And it makes me all sorts of happy that you find the contrast from Snape at the beginning and Snape now to be smooth. *happy dances* As for how long I've been working on this mammoth, don't rub it in! LOL I hope to finish it this year. *crosses fingers* As for what you'll do when I'm done, well, I'll just have to write other things, now, won't I? ;)

Yey! So glad to see another chapter up. :) Wonderful, as ever.
Loving the buildup to everything, and I can't wait for the Durmstrang show.... then Hogwarts. The job is an interesting development - let's hope she doesn't head off into Mary Sue American exchange student territory. :P I'm sure that between you and LOTM that you'll keep her on the straight and narrow. ;)
Things never go smoothly though, huh? First Hermione's mother... then misunderstandings.... one day, though.... one day!

Oh, I forgot... I actually like Les Mis a lot... it is hard until you get the story but once you know what's going on, it's pretty heart wrenching. But maybe that's because I've been listening to it for 24 years and have seen it in the West End on London about 20 times *cough* Not in the slightest obsessive then... It's a very long show though, I can agree with Ron on that.
I did actually take part in the Les Mis Masterclass - 3 days of learning three song and blocking, then performing it on stage in the West End before the Saturday matinee show for family/friends, after a backstage tour, Q & A with some of the actors, and a visit to see the show on one night also... I got a couple of solo lines also, which was awesome - we did At The End Of The Day, Lovely Ladies and One Day More - it was amazing.
I'm also rather fond of The Sound Of Music too lol.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
I'm sure that if I had had such an extensive experience as you with Les Mis, I would probably enjoy it more, but it hasn't resonated with me yet. As for Fern, I wouldn't dare head to Mary-Sue land; I promise! LOL And of course things never go smoothly--the course of true love never did run smooth, you know. ;) Thanks as always for reviewing! :)

Oh, I'm so glad to see an update of this! I really like how you still have Severus and Hermione fumbling a bit when it comes to their romance. While there still is a "hearts and flowers" aspect to it, you can still see that there are moments when confusion disrupts their courtship. That feels so organic and really quite lovely when it comes to the overall story. Nicely done!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)

Wow! I was so hapy when i saw this was updated! :-D But it breaks my heart that Snape and Hermione can't seem to "get along." There is always somethign...*sigh*
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Their relationship is young, dear heart; give them time. :) Sorry to make you sad! *hugs* Thanks as always for reviewing! :)

Excellent work! Keep it up...we've missed you! I really like that Snape found Hermione's erotic stash and is now kind of self consciece about his ability to "measure up." Hehehe! Maybe now things will get more interesting between them....I hope!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*snerk* I bet I know what you want to happen between them... LOL!!! Yeah, you and prolly everyone else reading! There'll be more getting to know each other soon, I promise. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Wow -- I just found your story last week. I have spent the majority of my free time catching up! I have only seen Phantom once, and didn't entirely understand or appreciate it. Your story has led me to seek out the next preformance in my area. I enjoyed the way you have taken Severus back to "relive" his squandered youth. It explains how his maturity level is close to Hermione's (even as she is mature for her age).please update soon...it seems that we must now be close to "curtain call"Bravi!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Welcome! I'm so glad you've enjoyed it so far. And the point about Snape getting to live his youth makes me giddy withjoy that you liked it. Thank you so much for reviewing! :)
Love love love love LOVE IT! As always, of course. You are just a fantastic writer. As much as I always want the next chapter right away, there is a certain element that is added when there is so much suspense. I think it's a mark of your talent as a writer that you keep the reader wanting more right away without using a cliffhanger.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful story with us!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Aww, you're so sweet! LOL As for not using cliffhangers... *snerk* I have definitely been guilty of a few of those before! ;) Thanks as always for reviewing! :)
Cracking update! Sev best be careful, or he'll be beating the ladies off with a stick. Even Minerva seems to be feeling the Snape-love at the moment. But really, I know he's unaccustomed to being in a relationship, but Sev should try not to get so touchy when Hermione needs to study and she should stop beating herself up for not giving in to his every whim. Gotta go, lunch is almost over, but there is so much more I could say. I'll settle for just saying OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* Indeed, those two have a lot to learn about how relationships work. LOL But, at least they're learning! So glad you're still enjoying it, and thanks as always for reviewing! :)
I just love that scene with Crookshanks! I'm a huge kitty fan; especially a half-Kneazle fan.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* I love my kitties, even though 2 of the 3 barely tolerate me. *rolls eyes and sighs* I had a lot of fun writing that scene, so I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for reviewing. :)
Response from Shishkeberry (Reviewer)
I only have one kitty right now, but soon to be no kitties. I'm moving to a new apartment that doesn't allow pets. My Lina is going back to my mom's house. *cries* So I would really appreciate it if Crookshanks is featured more often so I can live vicariously through Hermione. *lol*
OMG...I can't wait until the next chapter! You have done an AMAZING job as usual!!! hermione's mom? :S lol...she is so weird...Looking forward to the next update!!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL If Severus and Hermione weren't an item, Mrs. Granger would just be funny in that awkward kind of way, but as it stands... *snerk* Thanks for reviewing! :)
Great job! I'm a little dissapointed in how Severus and Hermione are reactingn to each other, tough. They should know better! All in all, I loved it!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL Well, the course of true love can't always run smoothly. ;) Glad you're still enjoying it, and thanks so much for reviewing! :)
You've got me on pins and needles here, I so want to know how the Drumstrang performance will be, and of course the Hogwarts one. Not to forget that I'm very curious about Fern, and how the house will develop...Excellent as always. I love it from the first word to the last. :D
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
