I've known some folks who have natural voices that were amazing in their range and flexibility.  In this fic, Hermione just happens to be one of those folk.  :)  As for McGonagall and the choir... that was written before Flitwick (in the movies) was apparently choir director.  *snort*  Thanks for reviewing!  :)

It's true, some people are amazing natural singers...I don't think I'm one of them.  I've sung in a choir for the past 2 years with no prior experience, and I know that even after a monthlong break I am way out of form.Also, since the Hogwarts choir is not canon as far as I know, I couldn't care less whether you are conforming to the movie or not in terms of choir director.  I love the idea of McGonagall being passionate about choral music; it gives her a whole new side!  Also, in the movie, was it really flitwick who was directing the choir?  or was it just some other short staffmember?  He didn't have white hair like flitwick did in the first movie...but then we really don't see flitwick much in film at all.

Yeah, the movies changed poor Flitwick from the grizzled white-haired fellow to the looks-like-a-mini-Hitler guy.  *shakes head*  As much as I appreciate the movies for what they try to do, sometimes, they baffle me too much.  LOL!

Ann Summers is a chain of adult product stores in the UK, and the parties are when a sales rep (usually a women does it in their spare time to make a little extra cash) goes round to a house full of women (often Hen Nights, but not always) and tries to sell them everything from body paint to vibrators and undies. In fact I can just see Ginny organising one for her if she and Snape ever decide to tie the knot. :P

So, do I get Snape now? *grin* ;)
