I hadn't expected that kind of reaction from everyone in the Great Hall.  I knew some would react badly, but surely not everyone.  Dumbledore has apparently taken the "news" very badly, and I can only hope Severus doesn't hex him into oblivion for using Dobby to gain access to his quarters. 

I could have hugged Ginny for defending Hermione and Severus, and I felt so bad for her when Harry said the things he did.  He will have a lot of groveling to do before he can get back in her good graces.  Prat!  Hooray for Ron for his understanding of things and his putting Harry in his place.  I was glad to see Ron being a voice of reason for a change.

Minerva seems to have kept an open enough mind to be able to actually hear and understand what Ginny was telling her about her friend and the Professor.  Perhaps it is time for her to summon a House-Elf of her own to go to Snape's quarters to prevent Albus from doing something stupid which might force Severus to retaliate to protect Hermione and himself.

And good for Neville for pointing out that Hermione is no longer a student.  She is of age and neither she nor Severus are subjected to the rules pertaining to fraternization between students and faculty.

Well done.  This was a whiz-bang chapter, and I am eagerly awaiting your next update!!!

Thank you so much for another brilliant update! I think Ginny should let Harry work really hard for earning her forgiveness, if ever, he sure behaved like an arse and no girl deserves to be seccond choice. For Dumbledort, I really and truly hope that he gets his arse kicked, he is obviously in the delusion that he own Seversus life, just like before, please make sure that he will not make that mistake again in the future. Oh, and since Harry came up with the brilliant idea on how to get into Severus chambers, put both him and Dumbledore in the doghouse for a very long time, a really long time!!! Most fics have Ron as the bad guy, you make me like him, he sure behaved like a friend, and a brother, should!!!!

Squeeeee! What a fantastic turn around on typical fanfic portrayal of Ron! Ron - the sensible one! Poor Ron who has done nothing but be on the wrong side of the preferred 'ship' of SS/HG. But it makes sense really that Harry would be the befuddled one. Not to sharp on the uptake, that one. He likes things around him to stay calm and even, for a change.Nothing like a compromising position to share with the  headmaster when he barges in. Can't wait to see this train wreck in the next part! It's a shame Severus couldn't have stayed and enjoyed the total chaos he created. It was spectacular.

I was wondering if Dumbledore would support Severus.  It's a way he could really show Severus that he is truly sorry.  Here at the end of the chapter, I'm still wondering.  Boy, it's impolitic enough they didn't pretend to start dating after she finished school, but this really has set tongues a-wagging.Oh I wanted to say I showed that ring to my daughter (who's engaged-to-be-engaged)  and she loves it too.  I wasn't  too fond of the ring she's been eyeing, so I hope she'll find a prettier one at that website!  and my husband is eyeing the wedding bands as possible new ones for us.  Thanks for sharing that ring pic with your readers!

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! Thanks sooooo much for the terrific update!!!!  Hurray for Ron!  Big hurray for Ginny!  Harry has some MAJOR sucking up to do.  I could slap him not just for what he did to Ginny, but also for throwing Dobby into that situation.  I'm glad Ginny started working on Minerva already.  I loved the explanation of the ring.  It made my heart melt.  I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for more.  The confrontation between Dumbledore and our lovely couple could be very interesting.  Once again...Bravi!  Bravi!  Bravissimi!!

Ohhhhh, evil cliffy!!!!  >.<  lolWow, it's nice to have Ron be the understanding one, and Harry being the one to blow his top off for a change...though I guess in most fanfictions it makes more sense to have Ron go bonkers since he's normally the one who's in love with Hermione.  I've kind of grown to hate Ron because so many people portray him as an ass, so yay!  because he isn't hateable here :D

Harry deserves a good slap for pointing out Dobby's usefulness to Dumbledore, especially given the headmaster's obvious state of mind. As Dumbledore thought nothing of sabotaging Severus' prospects with Slug & Jiggers, I wouldn't put it past him to attempt to wreak havoc on Severus and Hermione, personally as well as professionally. At any rate, I imagine things will get quite ugly now. Good thing Severus had the foresight to use that betrothal charm...Though things look pretty grim at the moment, thanks so much for the update!

I was exhausted and ready for bed when I found this new update...  I perked right up and settled into my favorite read!  You did an awesome job with the reactions of the students and staff!  I think Ginny may have  even started to sway Minerva...But I was most looking forward to Hermione's reaction (which you deviously made us wait for).  That was a beutiful explaination of the ring.  I can't wait for more.  Poor Dobby popped himself into a land mine!  MORE, MORE, MORE,  please?

Well, I guess this will be Dumbledore's last chance to salvage the friendship. If he is wise. He's already blown it with having Dobby Apperate him into the room.Hermione isn't his student anymore and Severus isn't his employee. I know that you have more chapters up, but I figured I might as well make a guess since I am loving this story so much...At first even before the ribbon I pictured something to be strung on a necklace, but then I thought of it being silver and realize the horn could be hollow, or not, so I think that it's a ring (engagement or wedding) that he is making and will put it on a necklace for her until after she leaves school so it can hide under her robes. That's my guess anyway, maybe just wishful thinking lol. Anyway, I'm really enjoying the story:)
