Variety Challenge first runner up. Hermione Granger is given a Time-Turner and instructions to use it. Only, using a Time-Turner can be a little tricky if not used correctly: a mistake made in counting or a slip of fingers can make the user jump irregularly and thus she could accidentally alter her time line. And when such an accident happens, Severus Snape uses Hermione’s Time-Turner in order to fix a horrific wrong. However, it’s his younger self that becomes the one who must ensure that history is not altered.

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.
“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”― Maria Montessori
“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.” ― Carl Sagan

Ah I can read Rita Skeeter's headlines now "Chizpurfles Invade Hogwarts! Sinister Plot to Get Professor Snape Naked Suspected!" (I finally went to bed. But I am up now and avoiding housework.)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Good one. Except that Dumbledore and the teachers kept it all hush hush. Thank you for reading and for the review.
This was a rather sweet chapter, splinching aside.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
I'm so glad that you liked it. Thank you for reading and for the review.
Well, I suppose he should be happy (or not) that she wasn't naked. Good chapter. I should have gone to bed and hour or so ago.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
lol Go to bed love, and hope you have a wonderful Monday and the rest of the week, too. Thank you for reading and for the review.
"He lowered his head, but she could see a lopsided smile from between the curtains of his hair" *shivers* Doesn't he know how lopsided smiles get us girls???Was hoping Hermione would just tell Severus about the Horcruxes but, yeah, I know. *sigh*
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Well, of course not, it's part of his charm - his naiveness in realtionships and his little moments when he lets his guard down. Glad you enjoyed it. Bedtime, sweetie. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you.
Bravo on Severus pointing out that Slytherins aren't the only ones who become Death Eaters. That has always bothered me. Great chapter. That beaded purse sounds familiar. I wonder if it will get an expansion spell put on it at some point.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
It always bothered me too. I mean if Slytherins are ambitious, wouldn't there be Slytherins in the magical government and in key roles in the Wizengamot? Anyway, I don't think all Slytherins are baddies and not all Gryffindors are goodies. period. Oh, you spotted it! yeah! You spotted it. Thank you for reading and for the review. Happy reading.
Response from Phyllidia (Reviewer)
Yes I spotted it! I figure school Houses are rather like political parties--the liberals think the conservatives are all bad and conservatives think the same thing of the liberals.
Yay the brains are back! I was wondering (tho' in truth it has been a while since I read on this story so it was a pleasant kickstarter for what has happened earlier in the story). Enjoying!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you. Ues, sorry about the delay. Yep, the brains-effect... affect? lol Thank you for reading and for the review.
Great chapter. Hewrmione is a better woman than I in regards to Lavendar.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Well, she's not exactly into him, is she? So it's not really Lav that is the issue, it's that she kinda wants some male attention and to be seen as a attractive and desirable girl by some guy in her house (and not because of the Bloom, either.) Thank you for reading and for the review.
Oh Ron. He's never been very good at resisting any sort of allure has he? (Remembering the World Quidditch Cup) Great chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Nope, he isn't. Fleur. Gabriel too. Nope, he's a bit clueless and a wet dope. But again, it happened in the books and so I didn' the 'Ron walk out' my way. It has more punch this way. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thank you for reading and for the review.
I had to laugh at Severus' point deductions in class. Those poor boys didn't stand a chance with Hermione Blooming and Professor Snape doing everything he could to distract them from her Allure. Even he was having a difficult time not responding to her. The way Minerva and Severus handled their "coming of age" talks with their students was spot on. Severus quickly cut to the chase, "If I ever find out that any one of you gets a girl pregnant while you are still at school, you will wish that you had been sorted into Hufflepuff." Nuff said. Then Minerva sought to make the whole thing not so embarassing for the girls. Tea and chocolate éclairs are my idea of a very nice way to "ease the atomosphere."I wonder if Harry used the onion's skin in his potion? I'm sure he did because Severus wrote all his modifications in his potions book. Now I'm off to the next chapter to find out what our favorite characters are up to.Beth
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Brayer, I love your comments on the Bloom and point deductions. Poor boys have no clue, do they?I'm delighed that you like the way I wrote Severus' and Minerva's 'talk' with the students. Somehow it seemed teh most likely, as well as Filius' floating charts. (mentioned) Of course Harry used the skin, it was teenSeverus who discovered it and wrote it in his book - the one Hermione copied from and that Harry is using. And she still hasn't figgured it out yet. lolHappy reading love, hope you enjoy the next one. Thank you for reading and for the review.

Oh, I really needed that laugh! I don't think the book made me laugh that much at the havoc wreaked by Fred and George. Absolutely priceless, wonderful author! I can't wait to read the next chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Such a wonderful moment and yet, your right, the book glossed over them. But I loooove foreworks! and Fred and George. Thank you for reading and for the review.
That was one of my favorite chapters. I thought the use of the book to place the story line was nice. I didn't have to try and come up with a timeline but could enjoy the story.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you very much. I'm glad that worked so well. Thank you for the review.
I don't know how I missed this story up until now, but what a great job! I had the pleasure of reading all 16 chapters in one go, so it will be hard to wait for updates now :)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you for the compliment. I'm glad that you decided to give this one a try, and I hope you like where I take this. Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
Gah! Glad she's returning, but sad nonetheless. Can't wait to see what the future brings. ;) Great job, bea!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you so much, doll. Yes, she's going back. I hope to ahve the next chapter up soon. Thank you do much for reading and for the review. Hugs~ See you on Saturn!
Oh, how sad and sweet. And I can't wait until she's in the future. What does this mean for Severus?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you. Yes this chapter was hard to write, mostly because I was worried people would be mad at Seveurs for being a jerk, but I'm glad the hurt of losing her was evident enough. Things will change in the future, that's all I wanna say. Some big, many small, a few tiny, but a few. Yes, I'm sorry, I'm going to have to go through the books. I hope it's not aweful for everyone.
I just love time-travel stories and don't get tired of them. There's just so much fun in all the possibilties. And time-travel HG/SS the best. This story is very creative and original, especially considering how many oher time-travel fics there are. I like the explanation with how the timeline becomes erased when Severus travels back and talks to his yougner self. I much prefer your way over many other theories/explanations I've read.Severus is so sweet, and I just loved all their interactions, especially in this last chapter. It had me crying.Anyway, I've really enjoyed reading this today, and I'm so glad I came across it. Look forward to reading more.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you. I agree, Time-Turner stories are fun, and fun to write. Thank you for the compliment. I was playing around with the whole paradox thing, if one trip in time changes what happened that previous timeline vanishes. Teen Severus is a lot of fun to write because he's not jaded yet, well, not as much. lol I'm so sorry I made you cry. Thank you. I appreciate you giving my story a try. Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
Aww. This chapter brought a tear to my eye. It was so cute and sweet.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you very much. Hope you had a tissue handy. lolThank you for the review and the pretty stars.
I read all 16 chapters in one go - your story is excellent. I can't wait to read the next chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you very much. I hope to get the update in soon. Thank you for reading and for the review.
Oh, it is so sad everytime she has to leave him. I am interested to see what happens in her time. It's not like they can really be friends or anything else in her timeline. And yet, how can they not have some sort of relationship after how close they have become. I mean, she told him she loved him for goodness sake! Regardless of whether she loves him as a friend, brother, or something more, that is a really strong sentiment and I get the impression he reciprocates. I don't know if it is harder for him, having her just disapper, or for her, leaving him, only to have to see another version of him on a daily basis. Very interested to see what happens when she goes back.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Oh, you'll find out soon! Yes, she really likes him, and yes, things in her time might be different, some things will be. You'll have to wait and see. Sorry, about that. But I really appreciate the review! Hugs~
Yikes, what an idea, the Bloom--we Muggles really miss something!!! B as in Blaize?I understand that you won't have other girls Bloom. However, Severus should remember his reaction to various girls as a teen. Not that he'd have to like the memory Severus is running a dangerous game recruiting people against the Dark Lord in his own house? I'm surprised that Draco hasn't reported him yet. I seriously fear for Severus' sanity when he gets to know why Harry suddenly brews so perfectly! Poor Hermione will probably feel the brunt of his reactions. But hey, its his own fault, why did he never publish his improvements??

, I'm glad that you like the idea of the Bloom, and hopefully the Surges as well. Oh, yes, doll, ALL the girls will Bloom, but Seveur is used to keeping his idstance,a nd his emotions very well in check. Harry/Hermione's year there are about 40 students according to JKR so that 's at least 20 or so girls, all that will have a BLoom for at least 7 days (that's the adverage) Of course, our Hermione is not exactly 'a normal' she's exceptional. lolYou'll see a little bit hints in his diaolgue... and you'll see his reaction to Hermione, but really, I don't care about his 'tuning out' the other girls. But I assure you, he does.Oh, yes, Seveurs' little group. Slytherins are cunning, remember, and sly. Plus Draco is all stressed out on his own task to really be all that interested in what Seveurs is doing, and these students are not really his friends, just his housemates. The previous years, Draco really only hung around Crabbe, Goyle, and occasionally Blaise. In canon, Nott didn't hang around Draco at all, not really, and I'm sure that Nott had friends. So, I figured that Slytherin being divided isn't much of a stretch then. Oh, I have already strated that bit of the story, things come to me and I'm like "Oh, yes, that would so work! (even at 2 am they muse strikes) so part of it is all worked out. Hope you like the bit. I think because right after leaving school, Seveurs got mixed up with the Death Eaters, about 1979, but in 1980 (or the frist few months of 1981) he hears the prophecy and that Lily was pregnanat - and so he turned to Dumbledore to protect her. but I'm guessing that he wsa arrested shortly after Voldemort's fall/Harry's survival and that he was in Azkaban for a while... then a nasty trail in which Dumbledore stood up for Snape. But I'm guessing that Seveurs was not pardoned so much as given a type of parole - under the watchful eye of Dumbledore. And he was Hogwarts most hated teacher... (by many, possibly not everyone) So, even if he had tried, his reputation as a Death Eater might have put a taint on any attempt to be published. He might have tried, but really, why would he. HE knows he's brilliant, He knows his potions are better than anyone's and it woudl be a matter of pride to keep his secret to himself. Just my opinion. Thank you for reading and for the review. I liked your thoughts by the way!

Hi, I meant how Severus reacted back when he himself was a teen. Or as an extremely young teacher. Now, of course, they're way beneath him--all Xcept one, whether he admits it or not. We might wonder why Severus bothered to make the medicine for Mme Pomfrey more palatable--he hates students, even more those who get into trouble or cause him work, doesn't he? Maybe he just started it when he heard that Slughorn returns?? Pride, indeed! BTW, I loved that piece of dialogue in your story.I also picture that the Slytherins have severe rivalries inside--the house ethic probably insists that this is no one else's business, which isn't the worst of a house ethic, really. This recruiting just seemed to be a move that could SO fail--after all Draco adores Snape, or at least did. Nott keeps himself aloof. It makes him an explorable target for fanfic.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
I have mentioned the early years of teaching from Severus' pov, and how he learned to 'ignore' the girl's Blooms. Either its been said or is coming up... I'm a few chapters ahead of you.The potions: a pride thing. even as a teen Severus knew his potions were bette than Slughorn's and took pride in the fact, eve though Sluggy woudl take credit for the student's potions that were give over to the hospital. His teen-self grumbled about it, as I recall. Nott, oh yes, and possibly as a kidd bullied by the others as well in canon - the odd ball out. However in my other fic, SWP he's a curious one to pay attention to. I'm glad that you are enjoying the story.

Those poor boys! How do sixth years get ANY schoolwork done? LOL I liked the charm bracelet, and all the charms. I'm surprised (but pleased) that Draco sent her one. It seems like he's quite betwixt and between, bless his heart.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
I talked it over with my alpha and Brit-picker, and we all thought that Draco, being a Malfoy, would send one to all the girls, a status thing, and that it'd be the same charm, mailed to the girls from the jewlery shop. As for the boys, it would depend on how strongly a girl Blooms, and how long... Hermione is a strong and capable witch, so her Bloom is strong, her Surges were strong, whereas someone not as exceptional would have a BLoom, but not as strong... think girls periods - it varies depending on the girl. Make sense?Thank you for reading and for the review.

She said she loves him...muffled at least. How sweet. I can't get over it. Awwwww...How I love this story. I cannot wait, seriously, I can't. wait. for. another. update. What is going to happen. I am interested to know if she would defend Lupin in the shack now, or will she side with Severus when they have Black, before they know about Peter.Anyway, another smashing job!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Yes, she did. Thank you very much. I'm so flattered that you do.Oooh, O_o er, you'll have to wait and see... sorry!Thnak you very much for the review and the stars. Hugs~
What a wonderful, heartfelt chapter. I had tears in my eyes when he sent her back. I wish she could just jump into his adult arms when she arrives in her own time, but, given the circumstances, he will probably not allow it. I am very anxious to know what he does do, however, so update soon, please! :)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you very much. Yes, she would have stayed if she could. You'll have to see, I dont want to spoil anything. I'll update soon, i promise. Hugs~
Awwww! Baby talk! I'm surprised your dentist hasn't taken the keyboard away. cute, sweet, and captivating story.Don't want it to end, but would like it to come faster!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Ah, I didn't mean it to be baby talk, only muffled in his shirt/chest and not as 'clearly spoken' as if she'd said to to his face. Sorry, But yes, I'm seeign the dentist tomorrow. I think he'll be happy with my flossign habit though.I'm sorry I can't type faster, but I have 3 other WIPs' ito get out, and I this one! Tower is done, only 2 more chapters! whew.Sorry, rambling. I'll go back to typing now. Thank you for the review.
Aww, sweet. She's his brave little Gryffindor. Cant' wait to see what happens in present time! Thanks for the update, bea.
