What would Severus Snape do to get what he desires the most? Anything--no matter the consequences.

Severus Snape has always been my fav character since I found HP. I enjoy dark, graphic stories, but will read some fluff and I love humour.
Happy to be in Slytherin house.

Man, that is just plain old... sad. I can't wait to see how he views Hermione-that will be good, I'm sure!Livvy
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Yeah, very sad. *wipes a tear* Thank you Livvy!!
Aww...poor Severus!! Great descriptions of his memories...They really fit with his current attitude and personality. Can't wait for the next chapter!! Update again soon. ~Jen
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Hi Jen! Thank you for the review! I'm glad his background story really helps with understand his current self... poor guy. *smooch*
Hey, so I love this fic, but I don't have internet at my apartment, so I save the "Print Story" page to my computer when I do have internet and read it offline later—which could explain the lack of reviewage from me.It also explains this rather bizarre request I have. At the end of this chapter, you've used italics in an author's note and (I'm assuming) forgotten to close the italics code. This isn't an issue on this chapter page, but it is an issue on the print story page, because these open italics format every bit of text after. In other words, when I try to read the story in my saved version, every chapter after this one is entirely in italics, which makes it a bit hard to read and enjoy. The point of all that is to let you know that I would sincerely appreciate it if you could close the italics at the end of your author's note. I'd like to be able to read the story with the formatting you intended, rather than the entirely italicized version I've been reading.

ROFL! Wow. I never thought I would cause so much trouble for someone... unintentional trouble, that is... You are talking about the </i> yes? Because I have gone back and I do close them all, so I am not too sure what is happening here? Kinda strange, and bizzar like you said! because I do want you to be able to read it... but... I dunno what else to do, or what maybe I AM doing wrong? But I promise, the itlaic code is closed. Maybe it has to be on a seprate line by itself.. instead of right next to the last letter? I'll try that. But, thank you for reading this when you get a chance!
Response from curikitten (Reviewer)
I did mean that bit of code, yes, but it sounds like you've taken care of it, so I don't know what the issue is, either, then! It may be something in the way the program's code is built—so nothing to do with you. I've contacted the site admin re: the issue, so hopefully things will be resolved soon. Thanks for your response, though. I do really enjoy this story; it's a very complicated and intriguing look at a character whose actions are reprehensible, even if his motives are less so.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Thank you! I hope the admins get back to you, and maybe tell me what I am or am not doing wrong... Thanks again for reading. *g*
It just makes you want to cry. The similarities between the Dark Lord and Dumbledore are chilling.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Ooo, I love how you say that! Chilling indeed!!! Thank you!
Wow, you don't believe in keeping things simple , do you? Great chapter!
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
No. Simple... not me. lmao! Thanks

!!!
This was horribly sad ... but you knew that. Everything and everybody that Sev loved or hoped would love him, ripped from him - ripping holes in his soul. I can feel the coldness of him through the words. Layer upon layer of protection wrapped around, in a poor attempt to stopper the holes that have been ripped. The problem is, the wounds are tender and they only make the person inside more sensitive to the pain that they try to keep out. And yet, he keeps trying to do the right thing the best he knows how, regardless of how he is treated. Says more about him than those around him. Gotta love him!
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
*falls to knees* THANK YOU. No, seriously--I'm.. almost in tears over your response because you UNDERSTAND. YES! Everything you said--YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't have said it any better than you. Thank you. *smooches*

What a wonderful chapter! A bear hug for Severus.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Awe, aren't you sweet! thanks~
Severus never did get a fair deal, and this chapter brought it home to us.Well written, but you have a set of [] in the story around the Th paragraph... Lucius grinned.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Ah! Thanks! Will fix that... Yeah, Severus is always getting... well... screwed. Thank you~
That was a powerful chapter! More, please!
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Thank you!
God Lord girl - YOU BROKE HIM! That fight was down right wicked! Kick ass and literally broke him. Voldemort is going to eat him alive now.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
I did break him, huh? *grins* Well... I had to. I just had to... maybe, when he gets put back together, he will be a better person for it? Gee. I hopes. lol. Thanks for all the great reviews!
oh man the Horcrux really had a grip on him - or Severus is the bastard I thought in the first part of the story. How could he be such a traitor to - well, he played both sides, but this is horrible. Dumbledore must be so angry - angry enough to lose his trust his total trust in Severus.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Well. Sev is a bastard. But, he has reasons... Playing both sides? You know it.
Oh bloody Merlin! Thank every known god for Dumbledore! Hermione will probably not forgive Severus for this one! I don't think I could - well... lots of groveling, long steam roses sent to my office and lots of groveling I might consider it - maybe.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
lotssssssssss of groveling would help. Oh, yes. And then some. Can you imagine tho??? Oh, my. So scary...
Oh, gods, he was hiding it and he's been effected by it! Oh that would account fro some of his acerbic nature, his hatered, abut HE HAD IT! He lied.Opps, He's gonna do something stuipid - or She's... are they gonna fight? Why can't Dumbledore know and ... isn't he in the castle?
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Yeah, he had it! Not the loyal Order member, like you htought, eh? nope. nope and nope. *sniggers*
Oh Hermione, hermione Hermione. You little goose of a girl. Seduction using sex t get him to ... you silly little girl. Severus, you've got a pissed off (angryx10) kitten in your den!
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
BWHAHAHAH "goose of a girl" OMG! Fab!! You said it, tho! She's no fool when it comes to using that womanly tool of hers~
She finnaly started figuring things out - well she had help! ex-Headmaster Black had to tell her to get her to start thinking! Augh. Oh, things with Severus will get pretty dicy!
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Don't you just loooove the old Headmaster?? heheheheh
Oh, gads he was so cold in his torture and killing. Leave it to Severus Snape to take advantage of a murder and make potion ingredients from it! I think things are going to get really dicy, rough, a tangled mess when Severus tries to explain everything. Some things can't be accepted, no matter how one understands them or not. someone wil be frurrious and someone will be deeply hurt and trust may be shattered a bit more than it already is - or eaten with guilt.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Oh, yeah very cold that one is. I never have said he was a 'good guy' in this... Oh, just you wait... the mess that is going to happen...
LOL Oh I'd hate to be in Greyback's claws, and Lestranges boots! Ohh Severus is going to get you! I'm surprised that Severus didn't know immediately what had happened to Hermione since he'd been through it before - with the same wizard!
I like how you typed Ron, he is FINALLY starting to come into his own in this one! Whoot!
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Oh, I"m sooo oglad you like Ron in this! I hope you like the ending then... Thanks!
Gods, for a intelligent witch, for someone who's supposed to be bright Hermione sure is slow on the uptake and does the dumbest things. Jessie, is so acting weird... Is she under someone elses spell as well? I remember the Oblivate, and all, but she almost had a evil glint to her in this chapter.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Exactly--she IS the brightest witch... but... don't forget. She's also only 17/18... And Jezzie? She's jealous. That's all... just jealously.
Good for her, trying to find the Horcrux with the spell. I'm voting for the Grotto or the Chamber of Secrets. Maybe a tower...
I cannot believe that Jessie was the next Secret Keeper. I thought that Dumbledore or, was Jessie the first person Hermione told, I thought she was thrid? hmmm.
And Severus sacrificed Beaubatons for the darker good? Sometimes I really wonder about that man.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Dumbledore and Maxine already did the Secret Keeper job... it was now Jezzie's turn. And, yes... the darker good. I like that.
Oh my gosh, having to face Voldemort so unprepared, and then having to run from Lucius and Greyback at the castle gates. Somehow, the bath even soothed away my anxiety.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Aweee, bathes always help. *g* thanks, bea~
Oh good gods, it wasn't Severus at all! It's Draco or Lucius or someone who'd - but how would they know about the grade or the words he'd said, or if prompted what question she'd ask? At least I don't have to wait to find out...
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
You will lose if you try to guess anything that goes on in this story... *cackles* LOOOOTS of twists and turns!
OH! Lemones! nice lemons.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Oh, yeah! Lemons is GOOOOOOOOD!!! bwhahahaha
Ha! Severus was frightened by Ron's voice? Ha haToo bad seh hadn't woken up... I suppose the Pharoa was a might bit upset. and his band of warriorssure got their buts whipped. But man, that was a lot of damage to the tomb.
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
Yes! loooots of damage to the tomb! But, at least they are safe and sound! Now... onto the smut! hehehehthanks~
Definitely powerful--I can't wait to see what memories Severus has decided to share with Hermione. Wonder if it will be enough....
Response from shellsnapeluver (Author of Consuming Me)
I wonder if it will be enough too... will she freak out? Or feel for him?Or a bit of both? Love your screen name, btw. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
