I'm glad Harry made the effort to find out what happened with an open mind. You're doing a good job with reconciling Harry and Severus. Both have had a hard life, they deserve to have family that loves them. Look forward to your next update. Great job!

The set up of that horribly restrictive society is horrid, but the fact that Lily gave into it, that is the tragic thing. And she messed up so many lives. I can understand her reasoning, but it was supremely faulty.

Her grief and fear overrid her reason. But to her credit. She knew that her being marked for death would never have ended. She would have ended up the next thirteen years or so a virtual prisoner at Hogwarts. Because she would have been killed and she didn't want Harry to grow up with that hanging over all their heads.Very sad.

Yes, Lily, being married to James knew all about his family history and hanging out with Sirius as well, she had heard it all about the rules and traditions, social staus and the like. Snape, being a half-blood isn't even aware of all the nuances of being born into the pure-blood world. Terrible thing. But now things will start to get better.Thanks!

wow. i liked houw you used everyone's perspective in giving harry what he needed to know - but to have to go to lucius? that is almost creepy - and why would he tell harry the truth? i hope harry can eventually forgive seerus and pull him out of his funk.

Lucius has a very unique perspective, and Harry is not there to ask him about the relationship between his mum and Severus. He's there to specifically ask about the night Severus went to his house-the night Lily committed suicide. Harry believes now, after talking with Dumbledore that there was something said that night that caused Lily to kill herself, so he's wanting to know about how Severus acted that night. He's coming to ask very pointed questions, but Harry will get more than he expected from Lucius and it will shock him. I hope you like the chapter!Thanks!

Malfoy? What would he know? Anyway, nice bit of detective work on Harry's part. It was interesting to see Minerva's memories. She was one that we really didn't know much about in regards to her relationship with Lily. Maybe Harry should dig up the resurrection stone and simply ask his mum what the heck she was thinking.

That was so sad. I'm glad people are answering Harry's questions, but I really think that Lily caused so much damage, I don't know that anything can be recovered.

Wow. It's so sad to see what Lily had done to him. He finds himself repulsive and unloveable and can't trust anyone. I have hope that he will somehow overcome that. The poor man is right, how can he trust that anyone loves him?

i am once again intrigued. it was heart-breaking to hear some of these things rehashed, but good for harry to find out that severus really did love him. hopefully there will be more answers in the next chapter.
