Thank you for the comments. When I was typing this, with my boyfriend hanging over my shoulder, he was telling me how he’d have reacted to be ensnared like this… Therefore, I went with it. (And as a consequence it changed my plot and my outline, but what the heck, it’s for fun right?) I’ve also been using terms my boyfriend used when I pinned him down and made him describe what a man’s orgasm feels like. (Try that sometime – make your guy describe what it feels like, in detail, and watch them squirm. It was hilarious!) So, this story grew – and since I intend this to be a romance, I had to throw in a few problems, things to work through together and a couple of obstacles. In the end – he’ll come around when he realizes Hermione will stand by him and still try to make things work. That and Lucius… well, you’ll see.

Thank you. I wanted Severus to have a friend he could relax and be himself with. The banter regarding the guest list was a bit of humor to lighten what was otherwise a depressing chapter. So far the Malfoys don’t know it’s Hermione… and yes, it will be interesting when they find out. Don’t worry about Severus, he has a few personal hurtles to get through, but he’ll come around.

In regards to Snape being more respectful and such, chap 7, and Yes, Hermione does begin to stand up to him. For now she’s a bit intimidated and unsure of things. I’m glad you are enjoying the exchange between the Malfoys and Snape. I always assumed that they would be friends, personable and that Lucius would have an ease around Snape, similar to the ease Draco had with him. So I added in a friendly banter and familiarity. However, I would think with the idea of having to invite Hagrid to their house as well as the Weasleys and Harry Potter, let alone the idea of inviting Grawp, would turn Narcissa off the idea of the engagement party! But I’ll consider it. But can you imagine Grawp in the Malfoy manor, poking his finger into the portraits, flicking the chandelier with is finger and drinking from the punch bowl?

Yes, well, Hermione is still trying to figure out how to make things work with Severus and isn’t too sure how to react to him. Severus is still pissed off about being ensnared by her, of all witches. It’s not ideal and they are both trying to cope, only she is trying to make it work, he’s simply using her. It’s not ideal. But, as their problems grow and situation changes, she will stand by him, which will…. Well, you’ll find out. Yes, Hermione has her friends to lean on, especially Ginny. It will work out in the end.
