Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

whoooboy! an angry snape is not an easy snape! thanks so much for the update and i'm dying to see how this will resolve. i think i know the destination but the route is facinating!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Nope, an angry Snape is a force to reckon with. We all know the destination, its the journey Im having fun typing! Thank you for the review.
Another great chapter. Can't wait for more.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you.
OMG I cannot beleive he tossed the imperious curse on Ginny! I really wanted to see him blast into the party, sling Hermione over his shoulder and leave in brilliant cave man fashion. ((pouts))
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Oh, um, sorry. Nope he didnt arrive in Diagon Alley until after the party was wrapping up, cuz Ginny and Harry were on their way home. Yep, by using the Imperous he was able to control her and get what he wanted. Sorry to disappoint. Heheheh Hell have his moment. Thanks for the review.
OMG! Ron and Rita are quite the pair eavesdroping like that! Ohh, maybe Hermine should force Rita into performing the charm and she could be bonded to Ron. It would be what they both deserved! Great chapter. You have a lot of suspense building. I really can't wait to see what happens next. =D
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Does ANY one deserve to be saddled with Rita Skeeter? heheheh Nah, but they are both being quite naughty
Thank you for the review.
that bit with Ginny reminds me of Dracula, and how he would call a sleepwalker
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Well, Harry is either seen too many Dracula movies or his head over heels for Ginny. I think he simply wanted a little snuggle time! Thank you for the review.
Uh oh. Throwing a nosy Rita Skeeter and a jelaous Ron into the already turbulant waters cannot be a good thing!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
hehehehe Um, no - it's not!
Ron is brewing trouble... He's in for a surprise when Hermione takes Severus's side. BTW the latter shows the first signs of jealousy... Did anyone see his Patronus?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Ron is brewing trouble because Hermione has been taking Severus side and sticking by him even through it all. Nope, no one saw the Patronus. Thank you for the review.
Ron is such a prat but I think I can understand him, it must be really difficult to see your best freind-cum-girlfriend matched with a man you hated for years.I really liked George, you showed another side of him. I 've always thought that the twins could not be only prankers. In this chapter, he was considerate, and I think it goes well with the HP universe: after loosing so many of your friends and family in a war, you are bond to be considerate to the ones that are still there, aren't you?Update soon please
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, Ron is not really handling all of this too well, hes being rather immature actually. George I see as reacting to Hermione in a brotherly fashion, kind of how Id see hed have treated Ginny in the same situation. Yes, I know that he is a mischief-maker, but even bad boys have a soft side and are supportive of those they care about. Thank you very much for the review.
Thank you so much for the update! First of all, the silver lining at the moment with regards to Hermione being bonded to the, at the moment, prat Severus, is that it could have been so much worse, she could have married the biggest prat, the one with no chance of getting any less of a prat, Ron. Some friend, not to mention he claims to love her, trying to take advantage of her drunken state like that! I don't care if one is supposed to feel sorry for him for loosing Hermione, nothing would have excused his actions if he had managed to go through with is intentions with Hermione. The girl was drunk, she told him no, and still he didn't stop until George came into the room. Heavens know if he would have stopped at any time. I am happy George arrived when he did, (I really like this George, probably because he at the moment are one of the very, very, very few with a voice of reason:-)) I am also glad Severus didn't manage to get hold of Hermione that nigth, she didn't deserve getting used by him at his every whim. I hope he is truly frustrated, and even more does I hope that Hermine during her talk with George the next day will see that she has to make some groundrules for her self, and not at least let Severus know that his performance is rather undesireable (that will blow his ego), and that she doesn't want, need or deserve being treated like thisl She should also make it absolutely clear to Ron that they will never, ever, at no time, become anything more than friends and that he has to accept that or they will have to end the friendship too. (I admit that I don't like Ron, and that lead me to not feel sorry for him at any time even if I migth have done so to someone else in the same situation). Update again soon, I am looking forward to Hermione talking with George and her next meeting with Severus. I am also very curious on what Rita Skeeter is up to, it is probably nothing good....
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Wow, thank you so much for the review; you really put some thought into this.
On Rons behalf, remember that hed been drinking as well, and although he was a prat, Hermione did kiss him, confusing Ron with Severus. (Thats how drunk she was!) Yes, George was looking out for her, acting like a big brother and concerned friend. George was very supportive and showed his serious, caring side. Hermione will have to address the issue with Ron, and hopefully things will work out and they can remain friends. Well see
The way Severus is taking out his anger on Hermione makes me want to cry. On the other hand, I would be livid if placed in similar circumstances. The only plus side for him originally seemed to be that he desired her. Ron is very troubled and hurt, but taking advantage of an intoxicated emotionally vulnerable bonded friend is not honorable. I'm glad Severus has been left to cool his heels as Hermione was not available to be his beck and call girl. Hopefully he will do some thinking.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, Severus hasnt been too cool about any of this and has been rather cold but if you look he does desire her, and hes acting a bit jealous so that says something. And yes, its good that Hermione ended up being unavailable and inaccessible.
In regards to Ron, his best friend/girlfriend/girl he wanted to marry is now Bonded to a man hes disliked for six years. Not an easy thing to swallow. They were practically engaged when Hermione cast the spell
and at the party, both had been drinking and that can cause you to do stupid things. (Hermione was drunk enough to confuse Ron for Severus and kiss him! Which led an emotionally unbalanced Ron to respond
not good, but alcohol does strange things to our inhabitations and judgment.)
Thank you very much for the review.
Wow, Ron and Severus are both in stalker mode. I wonder who would explode first if that was pointed out to them both?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Ron is just trying to get his girlfriend and the woman he wanted to marry back and Severus is staking his claim. I think both would explode if I told them! Maybe George can reach Ron and Lucius can knock some sense into Severus? Well see Thanks for the review.
oh dear. now i'm terribly worried about what will happen next. what with rita and ron, and angry severus, and distraught hermione. yikes! i will try to wait patiently for the next update, but it won't be easy!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Things can only go bad or get better... Sorry, they go bad first. Thank you for the review.
Poor Hermione. Ron problems, Severus problems, and now Rita Skeeter problems. Actually, the Rita Skeeter problem may help her out with the Severus problem.
*shrugs*
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Ron will be a Severus problem, Rita will be an everyone problem and Severus is still Hermiones problem, but Hermione is Severus problem and Ron is a problem that Hermione is going to have to deal with eventually as soon as she works out the problem with Severus. Whew. Okay back to unraveling this out aeron's response:
Ah! Okay, I was thinking the "united front" thing in regards to Rita, but then I'm not very imaginative, which is why I leave writing to others. :D
Very much looking forward to your unraveling! Happy writing.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
The idea of a 'united front' involving Rita and (anyone) is frightening! But yes, she will appear again and be causeing a bit of trouble in her infamous way! Have a great time reading. Thank you again for the comments
I am glad that Hermione was not at his beck and call. He deserves what he got. He is not trying to make a life with her and she should not stop her life to sit and wait for when he needs servicing. I like the throw in of Ron -maybe that is what Severus needs to get a move on.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Nope, Hermione is not going to be his doormat for too long He will have to realize what hes got and eventually win her back at this point Rons not the only wrench, but yes, there are a few things that will make Severus realize that hes been a jerk too. Thank you for the review.
Ok reread, and I definatly had stories confused, but I think you will be happy to know the story stands the re-read test! Stiil wonderful!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
This is a lovely compliment. Thank you.
This was just such a great chapter. I was riveted the whole way through. I think it's sweet how much Ron still cares for Hermione. I hope that Severus and Hermione will be able to work this out soon though. I'm enjoying the journey you are taking them on. =)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you, what a nice thing to say. I appreciate the encouragement.
Great chapter. I thought Ginny was bonded to a quiddich player....I'll have to re read, but I really did enjoy this chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Nope, I think you've got me confused with Magical Betrothal which is another very interesting and well written story. Im quite glad you enjoyed the chapter, though.
Hopefully Severus will stop taking Hermione for granted eventually, now that he realized that she might not always be there when he wants her. Maybe if he notices Ron making moves on Hermione, he'll try to get into her good graces. Hermione needs to show Severus that even though they're sort of married, she doesn't have to do everything he tells her to do.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Very well stated! and I absolutely agree. Thank you for the review.
Snape has been such a bastard so far that he deserves even more suffering.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep! He's gonna get a mess of trouble... and a few realizations along the way...
Very good chapter. Poor Ron doesn't even know what he saw.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. Ron is only assuming what he thinks happened, but then remember that he's probably still drunk himself from the spiked punch.
Oi, Ron is just going to cause so many problems. I look forward to Snape taking care of him!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, Ron is being a troublemaker, but hes just acting out in an immature way. Severus will definitely have something to say unless Hermione gets to him first.
I really enjoyed that chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much.
As much as I like Severus he certainly crossed a line here. However it's a realistic take on what he's reaction would be. I look forward to Hermione getting her own back, and hopefully string Severus along for a bit for penance.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you, I think. I know Severus' reaction wasn't what was expected - but I wanted a more realistic reaction between them... Yes, there is penance...
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you, I think. I know Severus' reaction wasn't what was expected - but I wanted a more realistic reaction between them... Yes, there is penance...
Another interesting chapter. Loved Lucius and Nacrissa in the chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much.
too bad they didn't get her into the jar! thanks for the update and i look forward to more.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
No kidding! Now Rita is actually going to be a problem simply because well because she can! Thank you for the review.
