Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

Oh, now this is getting interesting. So what if the Ministry knew that Severus is alive and well? And more importantly, how will Severus re-act when he knew that the Ministry knew he's alive? Would they arrest him? Would he be send into trial? How would *that* react to Hermione being bonded to him now? What about the Order? Hmm, so many things to consider...
Anywho, update quick! :)

I'm kinda confused... Is the MoM upset or glad that Snape is alive?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I think that would depend on who you talk to down there. The fact is now they know he’s alive. Maggie Whitmire now is the center of attention (her 5 minutes of fame – twice now) so she’s happy. The Aurors Lerman and Darthmyre are now getting closer to grasping another Death Eater (Snape) so their work load just went up and yes, there are other’s in the MoM who are interested in the knowledge… you’ll find out later.
I know that the prompt said that the MoM was happy about the news… I chose not to take that little bit of the prompt too literally. All will come clearer as we go along… I promise.

Perhaps it's Elgar playing in the background, but this whole chapter was so romantic to me! I loved the descriptions of the scenes, so vividly done!
I can only guess what's going to happen next...
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I’m not too sure who Elgar is – but okay. Does he live near the old beaver pond?
I am glad that you like my style and my choice to be vivid in my descriptions. I’m having a good time typing this and my boyfriend is constantly reading over my shoulder as I do… so I have male input here!
Things will roll along like a rollercoaster, ups downs and a few turns… ready? My beta already has the next chapter!
Response from remy (Reviewer)
Alas no, Elgar's been dead for quite a while! Sir Edward Elgar, the composer - I was listening to a new recording of his Enigma Variations when I came across the new chapter. :)
I'm definitely ready for any new plot twists!

Thank you so much for the update, I loved it!!!! But, poor Hermione, first when Ron discovers that not only has Hermione bonded with someone else, she has done so with Severus. Though, Ron's biggest issue will probably be that she has slept with someone while she has denied him. Seccond, the Ministry and the Aurors seems to be up to making trouble for Severus, and Hermione is undeniably caugth in the middle. Update again soon!

Yep, you pretty much got it, with the exception of Ron. This story takes place right after the Battle of Hogwarts, so Ron and Hermione were just starting a relationship, and were starting to let everyone know that they had become a couple. Then the girls do this Moon-Song spell/curse, depending on who’s talking about it, and messes everything up. So, Ron feels dumped. You’ll see what happens from here…

Wow - that was hot. And thank you for not glossing over that that can actually be a very painful affair. So now the MoM knows about Snape being alive - and they think he did the spell. This should be interesting...
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. I wasn’t sure how well it would be received, the ‘real sex’ being real, not all perfect and glorious. First times can/do hurt. However, Severus is still under the spell’s influence, so things will be more ‘real.’ Their next coupling, he will be reacting and performing without the spell’s influence… I hope people don’t get mad… It’s grudge sex, then morning after entrapment sex, the third time is ‘you are mine so deal with it’ sex followed by ‘oh shite –fine’ sex… Anyway there will be a realism in his ‘performance’ and ‘using’ of his Bonded mate. But he will come around, in a few chapters...
Yes, the MoM now knows he’s alive. Little Maggie Whitmire knows that: 1. Snape is alive 2. He’s Bonded to Hermione 3. Date and time it occurred 4. The Aurors will want Snape – he’s a death eater, killed DD, etc. She doesn’t know how the Bonding happened, only that it did. She is a right little gossip, Ms Whitmire, who doesn’t always have her facts straight. Watch out for her….

Very nice start! I'd happily settle for a dream like that ;) Can't wait to see what happens when the two of them actually meet face to face :D

You've a few more dreams to go, dear.

You still have a typo. In the very first it says snips and SAIL not snail. It is where Luna says it is in her diary. Otherwise it is very entertaining.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you - fixed it. I'm glad you still liked my chapter even though that one got by me...
More fantastic smut! Wonder how he will find her and what will happen...
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Luna explained it – the spell will pull him to her. He will be ‘drawn to her’… well, you’ll see. I just have to clean up my mess and bit and fix all my boo-boos.
You must know how brilliant this story is. Just brilliant. I particularly like Harry's response, and Hermione's anticipation of Severus' own response, even as she's making a last ditch effort to make it work with Ron. It's so illogical, and yet so realistic.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Wow, thank you. Yeah, I didn’t see Harry taking this all that well and it was a fun bit to add in also because it gives Hermione one more thing to worry about. Hehehehehe Her attempt with Ron was something that had to be added so that she would realize that that relationship wasn’t going to happen, especially having been ‘with’ Severus. Ron just can’t/wouldn’t compare and pales in comparison. So I had to throw that in. Glad it worked for you.
I am so happy to see someone taking up on this challenge, I had my fingers crossed, finding it most intriguing when I first read it. And how well you do it!!! I absolutely adore it, I love your twist on the plot, I love your writing style and I can't wait for the next chapter to be added. I do so look forward for Hermione and Severus to meet in "real life", though I can hardly imagine you managing to write it even hotter than this. (And since I am totally allergic to the Hermione/Ron pairing, I look forward to see the end of that idea too, both from Hermione and Rons side, that pairing makes my skin crawl). Update again soon, I will be looking for updates!!!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Obviously the idea (and ideas) that this prompt really tickled my plot bunny. I actually had two probable stories and decided to mesh them together – then went typing… I’m very flattered by the responses I’ve gotten, like yours. Your kind words are quite inspirational for me – thank you. However, and please bear me some patience – I intended this smut to have a plot, a story and some ‘realizations’ to it. The Ron/Hermione factor being only one, the ‘You trapped me into this’ factor being the second, and the dream-vs-reality will be a bit of a flip of the coin. I don’t say this to put you or anyone off – but they do come together in the next chapter, the spell will be consummated, and just as Harry reacted in ‘Harry fashion’ so will Severus. There are three chapters I’ve written (and I have to credit my boyfriend for leaning over my shoulder saying “No, I’d react like this….” and I took that to heart,) where Severus reacts, the Ministry becomes ‘involved,’ there is betrayal, hurt and comfort (on a small scale – no big physical wound or blood) and a friend from a very unexpected source, (someone you’d never consider/believe would side with Hermione against Severus.) But I’m not giving specifics – only that which has been set up in the story so far. My beta has my next chapter… and as soon as we do my clean up, (I do tend to be messy) and I correct my mistakes – I’ll post! (But you know that there are at least three more to go and I’m not done there yet either… I hope I don’t disappoint, and that my ‘’twist’ dips, turns, climbs and stands up your thought full kind review.
holy mama! this is one hot story!!! i can't wait until they meet in the flesh. thanks so much!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are quite welcome. You won’t have to wait too long… It will happen in the next chapter.
OMG this is hot! I'm feeling all guilty reading it what with being at my parents' house at the moment O.o Probably should have saved it for when I go home.
I liked that Severus thinks there is Dark magic involved, when it's really just a girly spell (or so I assume. I can't imagine it really would be all Dark when the Ministry's involved this way), and I also liked that Harry's first thought when finding out was entrapment. I had been wondering what the guys were going to think about this, given how it was inevitable for it to turn out the way it did for Harry and Ginny. Also, very Harry to think he was being trapped and manipulated into this, seeing as he's had people trapping and manipulating him all his life.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much and I’m glad you didn’t get any problem from your parents. I’m very glad you are enjoying my little smut project…
The Moon-Song Spell as I have developed it is a Spell. It was written ages ago during the era of courtly love to find your ‘true and perfect match.’ It is a Bonding Spell, as if you haven’t figured that out yet. Some wizards consider the spell to be Dark Magic – like Severus – because neither the caster or the targeted have any control over the spell and it’s outcome. (So in a sense, you’ve already gotten a glimpse of how Severus will and does feel about this spell.) Nevertheless, among purebloods and those raised in the wizarding world such spells are known and accepted. Thus Ginny’s and Luna’s acceptance of the outcome, and later you’ll see a few other purebloods’ reactions, that clearly indicate they know and generally accept the ‘outcome’ of such spells. Harry and Hermione were not raised but introduced to the wizarding world, and are not accustomed or informed about such spells. Hogwarts doesn’t teach Love Spells. The poem what little boys are made of inspired the spell and the potion.
I know that this is a bit long for an answer… but I thought I’d share what’s implied with you.
Have a great Christmas and Happy Holidays, and a safe and prosperous New Year.
Oh, this is interesting! I can't wait to see how thiis plays out!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you... I can't wait to tell you... Give me a fe days to fix a few quirks.
I'm so curious about what will happen when he finally does come to her. It seems he'll figure out what she did. I wonder if he'll be angry at first? Probably, I think. But probably also way to randy to care for long! This is certainly an interesting way to bring Hermione and Snape together =) Good work!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. I thought it was a fairly good way to unite the couple! And you’re way too perceptive… you'll see. He hehe he I appreciate the support.
You're a mean one. . . Hidden Before Viewing
You really are surreal
You're story's fully of cliffies, and the knickers are soaking wet. . . You're bad bananna with a greasy black peel!!-- sorry had to burst into song-- too many Grinch episodes. PLEASE update soon!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I don’t mean to be mean, and I’m only hiding until after the judging! Really!! I’ll peek out later and say hello! Thank you for the Grinch comparison… that is really cute. I’ll try and get my next out to you as soon as I find that last comma I misplaced… I promise.
Another hot and sexy chapter! Well done. Can Ron be any more clueless? For such a strategic chess player he really cannot see the forest for the trees when he has his mind made up about something. I would say that relationship is definately finished. What I can't figure out is if Snape wants to remain hidden from the world or not. And if so, how is he going to go and get Hermione? Oh well I will just have to wait until next time. Thanks for this one, JoAnne
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Well thank you very much! Sexy, angsty, and frisky was what I was hoping for! I got one out of three! Well, even the bright stagiest can fail to see the one thing right in front of them – can’t they! But if Hermione was hoping to get Ron to kiss like Severus – she was fooling herself! As if! Ron was slobber-suck face with Lavender and she loved it, so there’s no way he’s going to take clues – or suggestions – even one’s being ‘taught’ to him by our girl. As for Severus, these dreams pulled him out of a coma and admittedly I’m not giving him the hiding option. Hermione’s spell not only helped him woke him from a coma, helped him recover, but has announced to the Ministry he’s alive… I’ve several chapters on my computer and this is going to be developed – thoroughly! AS for how he’s going to go and get Hermione – well the magic of the spell will help… You’ll see.
Response from JoKK2 (Reviewer)
Thanks for the reminder about the Ministry now knowing about Severus being among the living. I had completely forgotten about that. Well I can see that there will be even more fun ahead than I last thought. Yum! I can't wait.
This story is just wonderful! So sexy and sweet. Keep up the great job!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. I'm sure gonna try!
Perfect as always!!!!I didn't really enjoied when Hermione tried to make out with Ron...she doesn't strike me as one to ignore reality and cheating on poor Snape like that was a nasty thing to do :(...anyway I loved Luscius apparition ( ^_^)...he's sexy all right!!!to stay and look on while his friend was having a wet dream...hihihihi...who wouldn't like to wake up to find him next to one's bed()???Harry was an idiot...like always, but his reaction is so much in character that it makes this story even more possible in an hypotetic 8 book. If only Rowling would have reserved a better end for Snape. Sniff. I loved the way the chapter ends...could it be thet our dear Severus is not such a dour man? when he says Yes, tomorrow, Hermione – no more dreams – tomorrow I will find you.’..it melted my heart!!!!just a question, the bond becomes effective when the two of them have sex for real, right???in that case, if the D.P. will publish another article, then everybody will know our hero is alive...ouch!!!I can see a big mess brewing!!!!!!Thanks for these 2 chapters before Christmas...you wouldn't like to make it another one before new year???:P kidding!!!!take all the time you need: you're oing a smashing job!!! ^_^ byebye and merry Christmas
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Wow, thank you. Yes, well in regards to Ron – Hermione will have to come to terms with the spell’s results, but for now, I was giving closure on her relationship with Ron. He doesn’t fit with her anyway, right?
If you like Lucius, well, he’ll be back… and he may surprise you a little.
I actually have to thank my beta for suggesting I add in Harry’s response to the Ministry’s owls. I have to agree, it foreshadows what may come. And yes, there is a ‘big mess’ in the horizon, sorry to say. In my next chapter, it’s for real, not a dream.
If I can, yeah, I’ll try and post by New Years. I’ll post again as soon as my terrific beta tells me she’s cleaned up all my mess, checked all my commas an hunted down my typos… But it’s written. I have it right here on my computer – just gotta do the clean up… okay?
So, Severus has reached his breaking point and will seek Hermione out. I wonder if they'll be able to talk a lot before they get to the shagging (note to self: retrieve my mind from the gutter).
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Actually the spell is climaxing, reaching it’s ‘due time’ the new moon. As Luna said – “He’ll come to her by the next new moon.” The draw, the enchantment, and seducement of the spell is increasing… but yes, in the next chapter he will seek her out. And yes, he will literally ‘take her’ and make her his. Yes, there will be some talking… but go ahead and hang out with me in the gutter… It’s fun to have the company.
merlins beard this chapter is HOT. Yay Snapes not dead and he's so damn hot I very nearly melted. I feel slightly sorry for Ron and his clumsy attempts to woo Hermione but the way you write Snape, well what girl could resist.looking forward to the next chapter when he goes looking ofr her.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Well, thank you very much. I aimed for hot, with a sexy Severus and a klutzy, awkward Ron… and yes, the next chapter, Severus goes to get his intended.
Eeep I can't wait until the next chapter! Sorry if you answered this before, but where do we vote? Is it only on the PotterPlace boards?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you, and I can’t wait to show it to you! it’s right here, and as soon as my beta goes over my mess, cleans up my mistakes and goofs I’m posting it!
As for voting. I think that the vote will be on Potter_Place or the announcement and site to vote will be posted there. However, yes, it will only be on the Potter_Place boards, I believe.
H'ray! Tomorrow, eh? I'll be looking forward to that. But... she's at the Burrow - and he'll have to go there to find her, won't he? I foresee fireworks worthy of Fred and George's finest efforts
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep – tomorrow! Yep – it will finally happen and Severus will make her his. Yep – she’s at the Burrow and he’ll come to her… and Hermione is staying in Ginny’s room… but I don’t wanna give too much away!
If Harry reacted like that, I can't even begin to think what Severus is going to do. And Ron, I kind of feel sorry for him. But really, he can't compare, can he?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, well... Severus will handle things his way... Ron, nice guy, but no - he's no Severus Snape is he?
YAY!!! Another chapter.. Glad to see Snape is still going strong after all he has been through. Poor Ron, he just has no finesse.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Your welcome. Up so far Severus has been up for the challenge - although these are dreams after all.Yep, no finess. Ron is more than clueless...
