Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein

This is really interesting. I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Thank you! Oh, and I can’t wait for you to know!
This looks like it's going to be a whole lot of fun! And I'm always glad to see Severus come back from the dead to get a little joy out of life for a change. But why this title? Shouldn't it be The Troth-Plighted Bride? Troth isn't a verb.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you, I’m having loads of fun typing it! I played around with a few titles and just liked this one… that’s all. Plus, it fits the story… I’m a few chapters ahead of you…
Looking forward to what comes next - and also... I'm wondering who exactly Snape thought he was with??
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. I’ll update as soon as I can. Snape probably thought it was Lily… it was dream after all...
what a great start! hmm, but what is Severus and Hermione resist.... what would happen on the next new moon.... will have to wait for your next chapter! thanks for posting.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. Why they are resisting – somewhat – will be explained a bit later… I’ll post as soon as I can… I promise.
Oooh, this is wonderful!
I'm wondering what Narcissa witnessed, though. My, my.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. I hate to disappoint, but she’s only helping heal Snape after Nagini’s bite. He’s at the Malfoy Manor… If anything, she was watching him as he moaned and groaned in his dream – not much more.
I'm looking forward to read more.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I’m very glad to read this. Thank you.
I have been awaiting a new chapter for a long while. I love this story and cannot wait. Please don't tell you you've abandoned it? Please?Seems like it's been happening with all my favourite stories as of late.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
OH, gods no!! I admit that I was sidetracked, hit with a flu and sinus infection, a challenge and sick mum, but I have tons on this story and just need to sit down and get busy. I'll consider myself nudged (Okay, nudged hard) and get busy. lol(Part is missing a beta...) Shhhh!
I SEE YOU STILL HAVING TROUBLE WRITING THIS STORY, AND ITS GOING SO WELL. I HAVE NEVER WATCHED A STORY SO CLOSE AS THIS ONE WHATS IT BEEN 2 NOW? ARE WE CLOSE TO THE END?LET ME KNOW HOW ITS GOING.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I'm so sory. Yes, I'm long overdue for an update. But believe me I am working on it. Thank you for the resupport.
Oh Boy, she's in trouble now. This chapter was great. I loved the death eater action and the fun amusement park stuffs too. Seriously though Severus needs to realize that she's not just going to chill out and wait for him all day every day! She's got to have a life too! He needs a kick in the butt sometimes. I can't wait to see what happens next! I hope Hermione tells him where he can stick his attitude! Cheers! ~Brena

The mind boggles at the complex potion subplot you've so superbly devised. Am anxiously awaiting revelation of the mysterious ingredients and what more trouble Hermione brews up for herself. Redecorating Snape Manor may just tip Severus over the edge. I recommend lots of pink, lace and flowers, ha ha!Great story--1,056 reviews can't be wrong!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you, I'm so glad that you are enjoying all the little plots and twists. Next chapter you'll find out what another ingredient is, and I think you'll enjoy how, and who, discovers it. lol Yes, Ginny is itching to see Severus' house. lol It's #46 titled: Nesting Invasions, and it's amusing when she does. Already written and being betaed! No pink, sorry. Some a few ruffles. Figurines! Pictures, and some... you'll see. I think you'll love Severus' reactions to it all. Thank you so much for reading and for the review. More coming soon! I hope, soon at least...
Ok, first, remind me what the issue is surrounding the curse they are trying to break. I know you explained it all, but I read way too much stuff and have way too bad of a memory to keep track of it all.I am so pleased with the way Severus reacted to the backlash from the spell. He could have really turned this into an "I told you so" moment, but he chose to be mature about it and consider the fact that it was inexperience vs them goofing off or something. That will go far to win Hermione over.Severus also won points with me in the bedroom. He was so gentle and kind with her, and while I know he is dying to further their physical relationship, he is mindful of the fact that she is hurt, and that this is all still relatively new to her. I know that even in this short time, he got used to living with her. I hope that she is kind of sold on the idea as well. Not because I want her to compromise her principles, but if she truly decides that she is content there with him, then maybe she will change her mind about living with him and it won't actually be a compromise. I get nervous every time Severus and the Aurors go on a mission! And Maggie is back ... sigh. She needs to go on an extended vacation, or just get over the fact that the two files are going to remain on her desk. She really annoys me :) I liked Hagrid giving advice to Hermione on her relationship with Severus. It kind of seemed absurd as he is not the first person I'd go to for that sort of advice, but at the same time, he is her friend and someone who always seems to only have others best interest at heart. If he gives you advice, it's because it is what he truly thinks is best.I liked that Severus and Hermione both had the occasion to take care of one another. That always seems to be a good bonding activity. Plus when she took care of him, things turned out quite well for both of them ;)Interesting about the blood and the book. I wonder what it all means? Nice chapter, once again.

, No problem. Bedydrian Curse – disguises something so that it cannot be read. It takes two wizards/witches to break since one must shield the other from the backlash. It can be layered, and there are versions of it, in that some are harder to break than others. Some versions show the script/writing in Elder Futhark, Anglo-Saxon Futhorc, Younger Futhark or Danish Rök runes, others, like the one Barrett Muldoon used, make the lines of the script waver, vanish, and don’t line up. If not protected by a strong shield, the backlash can cause blindness and if the full force of the backlash hits the one trying to break it, it can kill. Plus the one trying to break the curse has to concentrate on the spell, so the partner protecting him/her has to be the one to copy down what is revealed. Médousa Potion is a little known deviation of the Medullaoblongata Potion, and one that supposedly restores nerofunction without binding the patient’s magical growth. It is a cure for medulloblastomas that develop in the glial cells and the early developing nerve cells of the brain that normally do not remain in the body after birth, but, for some reason, occasionally remain in half-blood children of Muggle-born witches. These tumors occur more often in boys than in girls. Médousa Potion is better than the Medullaoblongata Potion, because the Medullaoblongata Potion retards magical growth. But it was a fluke, one that Barrett Muldoon repeated, so it’s considered viable, but he blew himself up trying it a third time. Five who tried to break the Bedydrain Curse on Barrett Muldoon’s potions notes were permanently incapacitated from the backlash of the curse. Three were moderately successful in trying to reproduce it but they had complications, (one, Erwing Wiestler, developed senile dementia/went insane; another one lost his notes – or they are missing; the third, Aramound Gruener, was killed by Severus… Master Kirkwell Ogden is thought to have solved it, but his notes on the potion are missing as well.) Severus’ old book has a version of the Médousa Potion. Many of the pages in the book had curses and spells on them when the book was bound, but it’s so old that the magic has seeped into the book itself. Some of the pages need a ‘payment’ or a ‘sacrifice’ to read the entry, some of the pages simply have to have a counter spell used – but the book can also choose who reads it as well. It’s Severus’ book, it’s temperamental, obstinate, hates to be moved or read, but likes Hermione. Master Gruener’s journal has a copy in it as does Master Odgen. However, Master Ogden’s journal also has Erwing Wiestler’s version as well. That was probably more information than you wanted to know. LOL He knew that Hermione wouldn’t goof off or show off – this was too serious and dangerous. He was too concerned for her wellbeing to say “I told you so.” Yes, he gained points with Hermione for it. And even though he wanted her physically (and he knew that she was not hit with the full force of the curse, only her eyes were affected), he wasn’t going to push her. I’m glad that didn’t come off as off-putting that Severus seduced Hermione right after the potions incident. I was somewhat concerned that it might. Yes, he’s gotten used to living with her, we’ll see if it has for her. Severus and the Aurors – yes, well, he fights to the death and they would want to get him – so the fighting is intense. There are still six (on my list, unless I add another two or so) to go before they are all wrapped up. Dragen Dolohov – Antonia DolohovWallace Avery, Rab Lestrange, Suzhanna (wife of a DE but a mean witch) and Ralph Torrington, Gibbon Junior - Adian Gibbon, canon-Gibbon’s younger brother. And a brutal faced bloke with a scar on his cheek. ‘cut across the side of his face, from the corner of his eye to his jaw…’ There is a nasty fight and a horrible situation coming up later involving three of them, three mongoloths (a magical beast) and a cave… Maggie is supposed to annoy you. LOL I wrote her that way. I liked Hagrid standing up for Severus too. I’m glad you did. Yes, he’s not the first one you’d think of for advice, but when he gives it it’s from the heart. Severus wasn’t really as hurt as you think. He’d had a tough day. A fight to the death with ex Death Eaters, fussed over by the Healers in St. Mungo’s, then had to walk up a hill to get ‘home’ – I’d be trudging too. But yes, I’m sure he liked being taken care of by her, especially considering how things turned out. Bonding, it helped. I’m glad that you liked the chapter. Thank you for reading and for the review. I hope I answered your questions, if not, email me. Or ask in a review. Not that I’m hedging any by saying that, I want you to have your answers.

Sorry the Death Eater list got jumbled:
Dragen Dolohov – Antonia Dolohov's cousin
Wallace Avery
Rabastan Lestrange
Suzhanna and Ralph Torrington, OC's(she's a nsaty bit of work, not a Death Eater/unMarked, but mean and prejudiced.)
Gibbon Junior - Adian Gibbon, canon Death Eater Gibbon's younger brother
And a brutal faced bloke with a scar on his cheek. ‘cut across the side of his face, from the corner of his eye to his jaw…’

Thanks for the info. You are quite possibly the most organized person I know. And you give such good detail so thanks for that. I remember all of this now that you are spelling it out, but you can only read so many thousands of stories in the same universe about the same characters without getting a little jumbled :)
Hello. I've been enjoying this story so far, but this chapter didn't sit well with me. Teddy's talking, but he's only four months old at most. I suppose it's possible that wizard children start speaking over a full year before muggle children, but it seems implausible. Victoire also makes an appearance, but she shouldn't be born yet. If I'm following correctly, this chapter takes place only a few months after the end of DH; there is no mention of Fleur being pregnant or having given birth during the entire stay at Shell Cottage. Since the presence of the children doesn't seem essential to this chapter, perhaps a slight rewrite is in order. Also, "Tonks" is made possessive by adding either an apostrophe or an apostrophe-s after the name, not by inserting an apostrophe between the k and s: "Tonks'" or "Tonks's."Graet job otherwise. I particularly like what you've done with Neville and George.

When I wrote this chapter I didn't really know the kids ages. It's not abig plot issue, they are in just for the humor of it. I appreciate the tip on Tonks. Must have just slipped by my beta and I. Sorry. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy the rest ot it.

That sounds like a really fun weekend. Alton Towers is awesome, but I haven't been for years. It was kinda rude of Hermione not to let Sev know, I know she's making apoint, but there is always room for manners. Brown stuff is going to be hitting rotating blades in the next chapter, I think.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Actaully it's all a miscommunication. Severus assumed that they had a date, and Hermione had already had made plans for Harry's birthday, and of course didn't realize that Severus assumed that he would be seeing her... you get the picture. relationship kinks not worked out yet. Thank you for the review.

Actually he's ignoring the 'feelings' he's getting as just ramdom thoughts. He was consentrating so hard the meaning of the 'impressions' didn't register.I'm so glad you liked this chapter... hope you like the next.

Soundsw like a fun time was had by all... except Sev. Oh, and the Death Eaters, but they got their just desserts.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Oh, yes, what a weekend! But alas, Severus was under the assumption that he had a date with Hermione. and yep, 2 down, don't know how many to go.

Yikes! Glad Severus is okay and the mission succeeded. Any more Death Eaters still on the loose? Poor Fang didn't even get a pat on the head from Severus.Very impressed that Hermione now has some more ingredients, if the blood revealed true ingredients and not red herrings. I hope she tells Severus about it, esp as they are getting along well. She and Ginny are learning a lot.As for Maggie, please tell meyou have something special for her by story-end! Thank you for the new chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep, he's okay. (Not really as bad as all that, just well, you get in a wandfight to the death with exDeath Eaters, with two to one odds, then trudge up hill to a castle ... I'd be dragging, too! Yes, well, Fang - Severus just didn't want to be seen petting the dog ( but you got to know that there have been many times he has when no one was watching in the past or the dog wouldn't behave like that. lol)Yes, you'll see that discussion in the next chapter. One ingredient will be confirmed, another discovered, which leaves one to find - ... only I've already mentioned it in this story. '... a potent potions ingredient.' Yes, she and Ginny are learning a lot. And will be paid for their validations!Oh, I have something planned for both Rita and Maggie, especially Maggie! lolThank you for reading and for the review.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
OOps, well, that Italics thing didn't work, but you recognize the ones form canon, right?
Response from June W (Reviewer)
Yes, THANK YOU!! So I only need to fret about six Death Eaters still trying to kill Severus and the Malfoys. I assume Lucius is cheerfully crossing off names on his list. Thanks again for the list!
I can't believe the Spy didn't see that they were being stalked by the Prophet paparazzi. I can just see the manner in which Lucius will tease Severus over this. The B-day weekend really does show the disparity between Severus and Hermione's ages, imagine Severus on a rollercoaster...nah, even a rollercoaster couldn't loosen him up!
But if it is to be true love will win out, but first I think there might be some fireworks to watch for.
I really like your use of actual sights, my brother has just married a beautiful woman from the Isle of Jersey and is moving there next week. He plans on seeing as much of Britain as possible in the next few years. So it's nice to get a feel for what he might see and do.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Prophet paparazzi! Oh, gods, I love that! Can I use it? Please! Actually Lucius serves a big role in this chapter. I couldn't have Severus too fumming mad that he would go blast apart the furninshings again, now could I?
Well, after all that these kidds have been trough, I thought that they deserved a bit of fun - so I searched for the places a 18 year old would consider cool, fun, and sent them. Severus in a swimtrunks on a water slide? hmmm maybe not. Severus allowing Hermione to wear a bikini in a Muggle water park... maybe not. Ok, he wouldn't have had as much fun as Neville did! Oh, there will be fireworks... arguring, and some fussing... I'm not done yet!I'm glad you appreciate that I'm using real places in this story. The internet is great! I hope your brother sees everything he wants to - if not there is always trip 2! Maybe you could go with them sometime? Nothing like seeing a country with a native.Thnak you for the review.

I would be honored if you used Prophet paparazzi, please do! As for a trip to Great Britain, my husband has a job in which he can exchange positions with another in GB or Australia for 3-5 months (like an exchange student). You not only fill their position but also live in their house and have use of their automobile, and vice versa. So hopefully within the next year or two we will be going native for awhile.

What a fun day! I want to have a birthday party like that. As for Severus, I can't believe he didn't realize the date. But he only has his mind on one thing...Hermione. Well hopefully he will be okay in the next chapter. Keep up the good work!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

That birthday outing sounded like so much fun. Just letting the six war hero teenagers be teens (except for the Godric's Hollow incident). Poor Severus and Hermione, so intelligent but sometimes just not very smart. They seem to have blind spots where each other are concerned. They're still so focused on not embarrassing themselves and not being hurt that they are imitating a train wreck with pain and injuries for all. The tension is delicious.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, Harry going everywhere a teenage boy would want to go and without anyone telling him he can't! Yes, there was a rather big blind spot, miscommunication here. Although, how they react - well, you'll see in the next chapter. Thank you for the fun review, I enjoyed the little faces!

Not a problem my dear! Oh and welcome to my fave authors list! lol Long overdue I'm sure and I hope you'll be happy there. I hear most quite enjoy the comfy chair and endless supply of tea and biscuits (you'll find the Ogden's under the tea cosy near the bookcase) but what they really love is the Snape clone who has been taught to give the most incredible massages. I just hope his foot massage doesn't distract you too much! :) x

Loved this! I really like how he took care of her as she recovered from the backlash of the spell. ;) I like that she got the chance to take care of him, too. Mmmmm...baths.Interesting how easily he dismisses her notes in pink. Wonder what he'll think when she tells him how she found it? (The Wizarding world is kind of crazy when it comes to blood, after all.)

I'm glad that you liked the lemons, and the fact they took care of each other when the other was hurt - like a real couple should. lolDismissed - hmmm, maybe he did or maybe he didn't. You'll see. But it did get him thinking. lol You'll see the reaction coming up next chapter. Thnak you for reading and for the review.
Interesting chapter. I really liked the bonding between them in this chapter! Keep up the great work. Update again soon.

Thank you very much. I'll do my best. Thank you for the lovely stars and the review.
I wonder if Maggie Whitmire knows she is being used by Rita Skeeter or if so, I suppose that would feed her ego. This was quite the birthday celebration--two nights spent in hotels and what sounds like three full days spent together. It seems thoughtless of Hermione to not inform Severus she would be indisposed and incommunicato for such a length of time. Although, on the other hand, it seemed presumptious of Severus to assume he had a date with Hermione. They did reach an agreement to spend each night together if certain conditions were met. The clear message between them was that they were both going to try to see if their bonding could work. It makes sense he would be worried about not being able to find her, especially for the entire weekend with no word as to where she had gone.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Maggie is really just giddy that suck a renowned witch is friendly with her that Rita could ask for hair and blood and the witch would get it! Yes, this was the best birthday I could give Harry, for never having been to any of these places myself! Isn't the internet great! I just picked everywhere Duddlykins would have gone - and Harry wouldn't have been premitted, and sent the six. Yes, Severus presumed that they were meeting every night. He didn't count on the fact that she might have had plans. and No, Hermione didn't presume that it meant every night, because there was no way she wasn't going to go play with her friends. But yes, a bit of a mess/mix up.Yes, things are going to need sorting out. Thank you for the review.

He didn't count on the fact that she might have had plans. and No, Hermione didn't presume that it meant every night, because there was no way she wasn't going to go play with her friends. But yes, a bit of a mess/mix up.Yes, things are going to need sorting out. Thank you for the review.
