Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”― Maria Montessori
“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein

“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.” ― Carl Sagan

Interesting chapter. His description of Lily reminds me of Hermione. I guess that's one of the reasons we all like to imagine them together.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Yes, there are a few things simular between what Severus remembers about Lily and Hermione, but he's remembering the good thing/stuff. Lily had faults, shortcomings, and hurt him. Not that Hermione doesn't, but she has traits and characteristics that Lily didn't. But what we are seeing is why Hermione is good for him.Thank you very much for the review.

Wait, Severus didn't tell her about the Rose and Thorns, and that Graven escaped and will be coming after Severus and maybe Lucius??  Yikes.  I suppose Hermione's cool reaction is Severus is better than a hostile reaction, but that was still very cool to a man who just escaped being killed.  Perhaps Ron will say something about the incident.  Thank you for the new chapter!!

Response from June W (Reviewer)

PS - I hope Cissa remembers to not use any of the rooms in which Hermione was tortured, although I am guessing she has redecorated extensively?

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Nope. He wanted a quiet evening, and with her, rather than going home alone or to the Malfoys. What he got was questioned, lol, about Lily instead. Hermione didn't know about the raid on the Rose and Thorns.Dunno, Ron might. He has a big mouth. You are very welcome for the new chapter. I have another in the polishing process, and a second in rough draft.I'm sure that now that Cissy can come and go as she pleases, redecorating is a must. Can you imagine the state of things, post Voldie and Nagini, Pettigrew (I asume he was there when Severus had been at the castle), Greyback and friends popping in, etc? I mean, consider who lived and 'hung out' at Grimmauld Place when it was Order headquarters? The Manor was DE Headquarters!Thank you for the review. Chin up, I hope to update more frequently, RL permitting.

Yay!!  An update on one of my fave stories what a nice gift for the holidays, Thank you so much!!This was a very busy chapter with lots of action!  I enjoyed seeing Severus working hand in hand with Kingsley to bring down the bad guys, lots of great action going on there.  I really loved Hermione's testimony and the fact that the prosecutor expected her to say something completely different.   Draco's response was very moving, after the way he treated her for years he clearly didn't expect her to do anything to help him or his family.  I'm glad that she finally agreed to come to the Manor with Severus, even if it was Harry's influence that swayed her.  It will still be very difficult for her though, I hope Severus realizes that and is supportive of her when that time comes. Once again, thanks so much for sharing your wonderful story with us.  :)

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

You are very welcome. I hope to have another up before Christmas! really, I'm in the polishing stages. After all Kingsley did to help him get his freedom, it would be remiss for him to not help the Aurors. Plus by helping them, they see first hand that he's a god guy, who made bad choices in is late teens, early twentys. Who hasn't? Well, maybe not that big, but I ... sorry digress.Nope, he expected her to lie or hold her tongue, either which would have put him and Narcissa in Azkaban. But Hermione, Harry, Ginny, Neville, Luna are honorable people. So they told the truth, bluntly, and let the chips fall as they would.  I doubt Crabbe would have done the same. That was quite a shock to Draco. I have some things to get out of the way before this one and the gratitude dinner party.  but Yes, she agreed, reluctantly, to attend. I'm not sure she would have unless Harry had so readily agreed. I'm thrilled to be sharing this story with you. I'm flattered that you're sticking with me throught this psychological rollercoaster/seesaw, and that you still like it!  Thank you so much for the review. Hugs~

I'm glad that Severus appreciated what she did.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Yes, it's a good thing. Now if I can only get my Hermione muse in line. 'In here! @#$@! shoves... pushes... @#&!Darn. chaces after her...   Oh, yeah!  Thank you so much for the review!

Love this story and was very happy for the update.  Seems like Severus & Hermione are going to try and work things out and it'll be interesting to see what happens when she goes back to Hogwarts.  Hope we don't have to wait long for an update

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Thank you so much. Yes, they are at least trying. I'm looking forward to sharing what I have worked out for the school months with you. Thank you so much for reading and for the review.

Thanks for the update! It's nice to see a whole chapter of them getting along

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

You are very welcome. Yes, well, of course Severus is getting along with the Aurors, Kingsley is leading them in this story. lol Thank you for the review.

What a lovely start. The kind of first chapter that just makes you want to read the next asap. Wonderful details like Luna looking at her toes, thinking about Neville and her dream and Harry being klutzy (not the smooth sort our Harry). Very curious about the role of Narcissa too...

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Thank you. I've never seen Harry as debonair - so no. Luna was fun to write and Narcissa... she's simply taking care of a friend, so Severus can get well... I used her as a 'This is how he lives' line. I didn't want to get into why/how Severus doesn't/didn't die from the snake bite. Sorry.

Great chapter as always,  Knew Hermione would be honest. But please update a little more often, you are driving us nuts with these long waits.   Do you thinnk that you could try updating more often, like maybe once a week or at least once every couple of weeks ?  Waiting for months is murder. Hurry, this is a great story !  Keep going.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Thank you very much! Yep, she swore to tell the truth. I'll work on updating more often. Sorry about the wait.Thank you for the review.

Response from mamabear52 (Reviewer)

Glad to hear you will be trying to update more often.  It is murder waiting, the suspense is horrible.   See what happens when you write great stories ?  People expect more.  Anyway, can't wait for the rest.   Cheers!

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

I could hug you! I really didn't mean for the wait to be so horrible. 29 is in the polishing stages, 30 is in rough draft and I have 31 in 'idea' 'what comes' wanna put this in' outline form.  So hopefully, RL permitting, it won't be so long.  Ran into a snag and I think I have it sorted out. Thank you for the support!

Wow, this was another  great chapter.  I knew that Hermione would tell the truth.  I think that no matter who the person is Hermione would still tell the truth.  I am also glad that Severus is opening up a little about Lily.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Thank you very much. Of course, she swore to tell the truth. Harry and Hermione made it easy. Harry simply wanted any information about Lily, and Hermione gave him guidelines that allowed him to avoid anything too personal. Thank you for the review and the lovely stars.

Great to see an update for this story. It is an enjoyable read. I'm eager tosee Hermione become more comfortable with Severus.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Thak you very much. She will in time. Thank you for the review.

I enjoyed seeing Severus in action along with the fact that he didn't have to be apologetic for who and what he is around the Aurors. It was good to see his opinion respected.Draco and Narcissa were good here. They both knew that Hermione could have said nothing in their defense instead of defending them with the truth. They were also aware of the fact that both she and Harry's attitude most likely swayed their friends to testify on their behalf as well. Draco may have claimed that it hurt to be beholden, but I think that he will make the effort to make animosity a thing of the past. Lucius has already made the attempt and Narcissa is truly grateful.I really, really liked this last bit with Severus, Harry, and Hermione. Severus showed a true gratitude and respect. Hermione didn't bristle at his wanting to protect her and Harry got her to agree on accepting the Malfoy's invitation. Severus' description of young Lily greatly calls to mind that of Hermione. Except for the bit about flying, LOL!Another great update. I look forward to more as always. I wish you happy writing and Happy holidays, my dear.~

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

I'd like to think that after the smoke cleared, Kingsley has taken lead of the Aurors. Since he sees Severus in a good way, and a few of the others had eyes opened as to all Severus did in the war, they are more accepting, especially if he's on their side of the fight. Plus as a consultant - he knows the Death Eaters and their ways/quirks. Advantages in any packages...Thank you for the compliment. That's why Narcissa was so amazed that they spoke up on her behalf rather than do what was necessary to put her away. But the Malfoys' attitude toward Hermione in particular has changed since she is Severus' Bonded mate. And Lucius and Narcissa have been supportive of her - even if she doesn't see it clearly yet.  Harry's acceptance of the invite did sway her.

I think that Severus thought that since Hermione seemed to still dislike his friends what she did meant a great deal to him. He's also trying where Harry is concernend. Yep, that which he remembered about Lily is still all the good, and she does have qualities in common with Hermione.

Thank you. happy Holidays to you and yours as well. Thank you very much for the reviewH

How's Hermione going to react to all of this? Will she be insecure? Wonderful chapter, as always.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Oh, I can't tell you that! It would be a spoiler! But I appreciate the compliment! Thank you for the review.

this is so good. Even on the second read! I saw you had another chapter ready to go up, so I had to make sure I'm ready. now I'll be checking for an update notice constantly.

Thank you very much. Yes, I have one in queue, and as soon as this posts, Parchament will be submitted. Thank you so much for reading and for the review.

Interesting. I'm looking forward to more--especially since getting the two of them together is going to be more problematic than usual.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Thank you. But ,oh, the problems will be fun... alas, yes, getting them to come around - but they will.  This is a romance after all and I believe in happy endings... eventually.

I like it sexy without being unrealistic.I like how you developed the idea .Very entertaining i was sad to see it end.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

It's not over yet... I'm having too much fun with this to end it here! But thank you very much for the compliment.

Yay for Snape being Hermione's heart's true love! I find it amusing that Luna seemed surprised that hers was Neville. I think you wrote Luna well . . . and speaking of writing well . . . the sex scene was SENSATIONAL! Literally. I can't wait to see what happens when their men come to them. Oh, and I wonder who Snape was thinking of? Lily? Hmmmm.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Thank you so very much. I’m having a good time with this prompt. Yes, things are going to get interesting for Hermione and Snape. Being Hermione’s and Snape’s POV – I’m not typing in the other’s dreams but there is to be quite a bit of discussion so you’ll get pieces.  He he he, but I won’t tell you which ones here…

As for Severus… this story is DH compliant but EWE – so it’s very possible he was thinking about Lily…

I beg of you: don't make us wait too much...this story seems to be amazing. I usually don't read WIP, but this tima the summary really stopped me and I decided I HAD to see what was in store for us...beautiful...simply beautiful..and funny too:"He likes my toes and my ears. I’ll have to get used to that.”Anyway...in DH it seems the Malfoys are captured but in your story we see Narcissa. There will be Lucius too, will he not? Well..enough for now; I hope you are one of those that post everyday or so (unlike me)and I really have to ask: do you have an idea of how many chapters you'll need until the end??????God Bless You.^_^

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

I’ve typed up through chap 4, and am writing chap 5 and I’ve a way to go… so I can’t say how long this will be at this time… I am making this DH compliant, nevertheless, this may sway from canon a bit: Severus is recovering from Nagini's bite at Malfoy Manor. Yes, you’ll see more of both Lucius and a little of Narcissa. Draco may make an appearance, (he’s on my outline for one) but we’ll see how this goes.

I promise that I’ll carry this to it’s end. I will not abandon this story. I promise. My beta has my next chapter, so I’ll post it as soon as I fix all my typos. Have a little patience with me?

Ooh! I wonder what the boys will think. What were Harry and Neville doing when they had their visions? *smirk* I look forward to learning how Snape appears to still be alive. I like to believe that he survived the final battle, but I haven't yet determined how I think he was able to survive.Anyway, I look forward to updates!

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Well, without giving anything away – there is girl talk and a bit of snippets from Ginny and Luna in how the guys react  but this is Hermione’s and Severus’s POV so there won’t be too much detail of Harry in the sack! Sorry.

I’ll update as soon as I get my chapter checked and cleaned up of typo’s.

Great start!  Can't wait for more!

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Thank you very much - there is more to come!  Much more!

9/10

Awesome first chapter. I liked the potion making and there is a lot of potential for 'what happens next' between the couples. Plus Snape's alive! (yay!) And smut! what more could you ask of a first chapter? Nice one.

Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)

Thank you! Yes, no point in having Snape dead in a SS/HG romance fic is there? And in regards to smut – well you’re in luck!  There’s more of that to come….

Response from helshez (Reviewer)

I dunno, is necrophilia too squicky? ;)

Wow, what a creative idea! I'm very much looking forward to the next installment.
