Reviews for Quantum Mechanics
It's not perfect, but it's a start. :)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
It's enough for Septima to build her hopes on, isn't it? Thank you for the review!
She deserves better than that, and she needs to realize it. We get so absorbed in love and having to be near that one we love, that sometimes we give in too quickly, let that other person take advantage, like Severus is doing now. Very realistically written.I hope she can come to that conclusion. Perhaps a little distance will help Severus to realize that his feelings for her are a bit deeper. Or perhaps not. He seems very sure that he will never truly love her.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Exactly. She's so young, and she doesn't understand that her expectations are unrealistic even yet. She thinks his coming to her now means it will all be fine.Meanwhile, his expectations are equally unrealistic. He's got his head somewhere else entirely and doesn't know how to properly assess his feelings and what they mean, I'm afraid.Thank you for reading and for such a thoughtful review!
oh Severus, you don't know a good thing when you meet it. Sad for both of them.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yeah, he's too busy looking at what he can't have to appreciate what's in front of him. Hopefully he'll catch on. Thank you for the review!
Still wanting to shake some sense into Severus. Poor Septima, talk about being left holding the bag. Don't see how this is going to work out well but hopeful anyway. Thanks.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
If you're used to my stories, you know how things will go, long term. In the short term... I'm not making any promises, I'm afraid. Thank you for the review!
That is a terrible place to leave it, Miss Rose! I really like your Septima - she's nicely fleshed out.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Chapter eleven should drop pretty soon. I won't leave it there for long, I promise! I'm glad you like Septima. As with so many characters, after I started playing with her, she grew on me. Thank you for the lovely reviews!
They're both so young and inexperienced it's not surprising they're at a loss.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yes, if we stick with canon ages, he's 19 and she's a year or two younger. That's the age when everyone thinks he or she is grown up but there's still a good five to ten years of figuring out how the world works left to go. One can hope that after he thinks about it he'll rise to the occasion. Thank you for all the support!
Re-read everything again, and this time around the sadness of the situation and her numbers being right, the realistic situation, and heartless response of the male species - again, very well done! Again, hoping that he'll go after her, for the right reasons? Or, remain in his deluded state and longing for the other woman?
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
We'll just have to see what he does about all of this. I can't make any promises, but anyone who knows me knows how this will work, long-term. Thank you so much for reviewing again!
<-- Look it's that toddler. Anyway... So sad! I know this happens a lot with relationships, but it's just hard. At least she knows, but now there's a baby. What a mess, and what a heartless idiot Severus is. Of course, he can't help what he feels, or doesn't feel. But what a user.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
She did just kind of spring it on him. Of course, neither one expected it. This is where they finally understand that they have completely different expectations about what they've been doing. As you say, it's one of those things that happens, and it's really hard. Thanks, again, for the lovely reviews and shiny stars!
Yikes, this is so sad. Hopefully something will come along to help him come to reality.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I don't think he wants reality. He keeps thinking his fantasy is so much better. Thank you for reviewing!
Hmm, what indeed? The man needs to recognize what's right in front of him.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
No, he doesn't recognize it, does he? He's too busy mooning over what he can't have. Thanks for the review!
Severus seems to be too blind to see what's right in front of him. I feel so bad for Septima, and I hope he pulls his head out of his arse!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I don't think he realizes it's up there. It's just one of those cruddy situations kids did (and still do) find themselves in. They're going to need to grow up. Thank you for the review!
Intriguing so far. Too bad he has no idea what he feels for her.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yeah, it is too bac, and it's going to take a long time for him to sort it out.Thank you for the review! I'm glad it's caught your attention!
Of course, he could spend the night and just sleep... Not! ;)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I suppose it's possible. Not likey, but possible. Thank you, again!
More to discuss indeed! ;)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Hmm... I think a little necking can be very communicative. ;DThank you for the review!
Oh go on, Sev - she'd be so much better for you than Lily 'fickle' Evans! Loving the development. I think Severus needs the less than subtle approach.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
LOL! Septima is definitely not being subtle. She's very direct in her approach to handling things. Perhaps too much so for Severus's taste. Now he has to admit to himself that he saw her as attractive... Thank you for the review!
Love the development and inspiration which occurs as Septima is more and more with Severus; as well as he discovering and acknowledging her abilities - they do seem to be bringing out the best in each other!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Thank you! They will definitely see each other as equals... two students working together for common goals.
I like the pairing of Vector and Snape. I think they will make a good match. Good chapter.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Oh, thank you! I think there's some potential here, too. We'll see.
Interesting start - I like your description of Septima. Its nice to read from the perspective of a prospective love interest who actual starts from a stand point of the respect and admiration we all know he deserves.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yes. There's some amount of equality between them here when they meet that's lacking in his other attractions. I hope you like the way it continues. Thanks for the review!
Mmnn... love it - love the set-up of him being detached, his snarky disinterest, but then his slow melting -- can feel Severus honing in on Septima; love the depiction and awareness of her different 'glows', as well as the new shine in her eyes (that he's brought out) - yummy!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Thank you! He's telling himself that he's interested in her mind, but he's a 19/20 year old boy...
I'm glad Septima finally knows. Now who is this mystery person?
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Severus is just trying to help her realize something she's known all along. Thank you for the review!
AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Thank you for reading and reviewing! This story makes me feel like that myself at times.
I love that the way he finally told her about Renee was during a fight. So typical for them. :) But now how are they going to tell Renee? Or are they? Or will she figure it out on her own, somehow? I look forward to the answer to these questions and more.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Septima seems to need something that allows her go beyond the magic affecting her memory. Telling Renee is a whole other ball of wax, of course. Thank you for all the support and the reviews!
Now we are really getting into the thick of things. It is interesting to see the canon years from a perspective that has nothing to do with canon. It's almost a background to this story, yet we know what is coming. I, for one, am a bit nervous.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I love looking at canon events the way everyone else would have seen them, not just Harry. They're kind of focused on their personal story right now, and the external story is about to whallop them. Anyway, thank you for the review!
Giggling at Aurora and Igor :o)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Hee hee... they're so cute together! Thank you for everything!
Nice deflections with Dumbles. He needs a muzzle.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Thank you! A choke collar might work well, too, LOL!
