They've come to a new understanding, and the sorts of struggles they've had between them before have been dealt with. That doesn't get rid of the sorts of troubles that can come up in a maturing relationship or from without, so we'll see.

Poppy has her own axe to grind with Dumbledore. I'm trying to figure out how to work it into this story, but if not, there will be a side-oneshot to accompany this at the appropriate moment. I've always thought of her as Hufflepuff, but for the purpose of this story, maybe she's Slytherin. Thanks, again!
Oh a cliffhanger! I guess I'll have to wait and see who is at the door. I want yell at Septima and tell her to just do the Arithmancy needed to find out where her daughter is. I don't know how Severus is being so patient. Thanks for the update.

Severus has learned that pushing the issue only leads to problems, so he's biding his time. I hope it's not too much of a spoiler to say that the visitor at the door is coming straight from canon. :) Thank you for the lovely review!

Bah ha ha... when Oliver uses that phrasing in the musical, he's asking for seconds. Wouldn't it be a fun round robin to have several of us put the smack-down on the Headmaster in a different way each chapter? Thank you for the lovely reveiws!
Hey, we're making some headway with the whole Renee issue! Severus is treating Septima so well these days, and despite whatever he thinks about their situation vs his feelings for Lily, he is very much in love with her, or he wouldn't act the way he does. I am cautiously optomistic with these two. And the knock at the end. Could that possibly be Miss Vector-Snape herself? I hope Septma doesn't work the numbers while Hermione is around. She might need some time to recover from that shock.

She's going to be pretty distracted by her conversation with this visitor, so there are no numbers in the next few minutes. Meanwhile, I think there is a certain amount of contentment in the Vector/Snape household at the moment that affects how they're treating each other. Thank you so much for the review!

You always have to leave me hanging, don't you? I think that the reason Severus gave Septima for not introducing her to his mother was a good one. I didn't actually expect him to have a good reason, but what he said makes perfect sense. Obviously, Septima found it acceptable as well. I, too, miss their intimate chalkboard time. :)

Those chalkboards are going to get awfully dusty ;) They both sort of let things drift when they were younger. She wasn't a whole lot better by avoiding the questions she feared the answers to until the situation got urgent. Thanks, again!

It would be nice if they could just get some time together, but they're not really supposed to be "together" according to some people, so they have to play by certain rules, but they're managing a lot of together time nonetheless. Thank you for the review!

Thank you so much! I don't know why, but I always picture Eileen as a midwife, as something that would be in demand in both worlds.
Oh, dear. The ending makes me nervous. But up till then it was lovely. I like the idea of his mother being a midwife and caring for their child until it is born. Can't wait to find out more (and see if she is ever going to find out/ figure out about Renee, LOL!)

So glad to hear that Poppy is on Septima's side. She is just doing her job, afterall, but she is supportive of Septima and not so much of Dumbledore, and that is a winner in my mind. It is going to get ugly when Dumbledore find out ... and I look forward to seeing it :)

Poor Dumbledore... he gets no love from me in this story. He'll have to be benevolent and kind somewhere else for now. Poppy is one of the people on staff who knows everything, so she's able to pick sides with a clearer vision of things. Thank you so much for the review!

It occurred to me that Septima hadn't bothered with the potion in at least a month or two, just as she told Poppy. She hadn't seen the point. The characters sort of sprang this whole chain of events on me, and this is my attempt to regain control of things. We'll see how long it lasts.As always, thank you for all your support and help!
At least somebody sees that! Geez, if it's not one thing with Dumbles, it's another. I think an adoption is going to be hard to pull off, whether Dumbles realizes it or not.

Yeah, Dumbledore has met his match in this case, but he's going to try to make it work. He's got a very specific agenda and he's a little vicious where Septima is concerned. Thank you for the review!
