Reviews for Quantum Mechanics
Just as you made me angry with Remus for a few chapters, you are now winning me back to his side. He is no less a pawn in Dumbledore's games than the other two. I hope that the three of them will conspire against him and really stick it to him. Or one of the three could just kill him ;)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Hmmm... having one of those three kill Dumbledore... ;)Yeah, Remus was being played a little bit just like everyone has been played. Directly or indirectly, they're starting to compare notes, now, and realize that they need to reclaim their lives. Thanks for the great reviews!
Wow, that was a really graious thing for Remus to do. I know he realizes that he can't have Septima, and he cares about her so it was the right thing to do, but still, he could have been honest with Dumbledore and screwed it all up for them. He's observant, at any rate. I do hope that things go as planned now that Severus and Septima are officially/unofficially able to be together. I'm not ready to put forth too much confidence, though.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Remus has decided that he might as well join in the game of putting one over on Dumbledore. Or maybe it's a fond rememberence of times past, LOL. Now Severus and Septima have a few months to figure out what to do next, so they may well carry the battle. Thank you for the review!
Yay, Remus/Septima resolution!...WHAT THE FUCK, DUMBLEDORE? No umarried- what? WHAT? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
LOL... Dumbledore is being evil for the sake of being evil here. Thank you for the review!
At least Remus can see the truth. Alas, Severus is a little slow in that department. :)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I think Remus has a big tub of popcorn at this point. This Remus seems to enjoy meddling almost as much as Dumbledore usually does. Severus sees what he thinks he wants to see. Or something like that. He'll figure it out. Thank you for the review!
Sometimes one can be too smart for one's own good. :)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
She's too smart and a little too suspicious of anything that seems good right now. She'll get over it, she won't be able to avoid the truth in this case, LOL. Thank you!
Wow, that was surprising, in a very good way. Mwahahaha. The idea of getting one over on Dumbly is quite refreshing.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yes, now we're in a conspiracy against Dumbledore. It won't last forever, LOL. Thank you, as always!
Ooh, Lupin, helpful but tricky. Tsk tsk. Now would SOMEONE TELL SEPTIMA SHE HAS A DAUGHTER?
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
LOL, Lupin is enjoying himself immensely. We'll get a little closer to Hermione's situation in a bit. ;) Thank you for the review!
I think Severus should be a bit more grateful to Remus. He just made it possible for Severus and Septima to live together. Your Dumbledore goes beyond manipulative and straight to evil. This is tthe first time I find myself routing against him. Loved this chapter.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Severus is grateful, but he's not the sort of man who enjoys being beholden to others. That so much depends upon Remus's word rankles a bit. Thank you for the review!
Come on Septima, it shouldn't be that hard to figure out. I'm glad Severus took control of the situation and Septima didn't have to basically prostitute herself to Remus. I like how the story is progressing. Thanks.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
She's gotten to the point where she almost doesn't want to believe anything anymore. It will sink in after a while. It's not like she can escape it, now, LOL. Thank you for the review!
I loved Severus in this chapter. For once, he is being just what she needs instead of the other way around. Now about Renee ... *glares at you. But in the nicest way possible*
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yeah, sorting out the whole Renee thing is going to take some doing (she said with maniacal laughter). But yes, Severus realizes it's time for him to be reassuring and loving. Thank you, again!
Septima straddles the line between being the perfect partner, in that she is always there for Severus, through thick and thin, loving him no matter what, and being a doormat in the way that she submits to his nasty treatment of her. At the moment, I think things are going well. He might be bringing up Lily a little more than he ought to considering he is talking to her competition, but I think he is beyond the point of being all out cruel to her. At least I hope so ...
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I think you're right, that Septima is still a little bit of a doormat. She was trying to move forward yet in a way that was self-destructive, and now Severus seems to be trying to move things in a different direction, but he's not that good at it, of course. Thank you for the review!
I kept waiting for Dumbly's head in the fireplace, but thankfully it didn't appear. Looks like the fertility potion worked. Oh, what will dumbles say now?
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Well, according to Septima's calculations, he's going to be pretty upset. Thank you for the review!
Awww... now if only Severus would tell her abouy Renee
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
We're getting there. Thank you for the review!
JUST TELL HER ALREADY, YOU MORON!Well written, and very sweet, but come on, Septima, look at the numbers! Gah!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
It'll come out, I promise! Thank you for the review!
I loved that he finally opened up the whole truth to her. Well, except the name.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
He's given her quite a bit. Now she has to decide if she trusts it, after everything. Thank you for the review!
A nice little chapter. I wish Severus would just tell her about their daughter, though. Gah!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Thank you! He's hinted at it and worked at getting her to understand it, but whenever she gets close she gets so upset and worried that he backs off. Hopefully, he'll get there.
Severus has let it all out. Now he needs to build it all back up again with Lily in the correct context: his past. :)PS. Can't wait to see which drabble is yours! :)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Thank you! Yes, he's starting to look at how he's arranged things and deciding that perhaps they should be rearranged. The reveal is up. Did you find mine? Were you surprised? I hadn't guessed you for yours, but I wasn't surprised. It was brilliant.
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
I didn't pick it, but I shouldn't be surprised. It was just your style in retrospect. Love how Luna understood Neville perfectly.:)
oh geez. That man doesn't care about anyone, does he? Either way, she won't be Severus'. He's mad, I tells ya. Mad!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yeah, Dumbledore is holding all the cards and aparently a lot of potions bottles, too. If these people ever decided to combine their knowledge...Thank you for the review!
Will it really matter whether I'm dead or alive? Please, just cut my hair. I need to go to him soon.”Well, if this isn't Severus' official moment of truth, I don't know what is. There is no more time for being wishy-washy and thinking about what to do. If he wants to stop her, he is going to have to do something drastic and convincing. You've made her hair so important to them, I find myself cringing about cutting it.If I haven't said it enough times, I really hate your Dumbledore. Nasty piece of work, that one.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Hee hee... one of JKR's favorite characters, I hear, and I've made him unsympathetic. Ah well. You're right about it being Severus's moment of truth. He needs to decide what he wants rather quickly now. Thank you for the review!
Geez, Sev, just tell her already! :0
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Well, you know, he has to work through all the angles...Thank you for the review!
No, not the hair. Stop her, Sev!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
LOL... so is the hair the last straw? Thank you for all your help!
I cheated reading the reviews first, and a good hint it was! June, of course! We finally understand why Remus "forgot" his Wolfsbane after taking it for about 20 years. It finally makes sense. 5 stars for explaining this to me!Horridly dangerous though, to sleep with someone who turns into a beast if only a little moolight filters through!Septima has been a toy for several men. No wonder she'll take a child as a new focus of her life, if this is the plan (wasn't so clear to me before). Finally she'd have someone who would actually stay and love her. The baby's genetics would certainly be ok for her. Dump all men!I wonder what she still wants of Severus, or if she might have doubts again. Poor, torn soul. Please provide some comfort to her!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Thank you for the review! You've noticed something that Septima has no clue about and Severus hasn't thought all the way through, yet. Quite a few things will happen soon. Thank you, again!
So glad Severus was lucid enough to remember the potion in the brandy and to wean himself from it. Septima doesn't realize that much of Severus' attitude is due to Dumbles. I hope she's ok. Not sure if her 'flatness' is baby issues, or... baby issues.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Once Severus recognized what was going on with the brandy, he knew what he had to do, and I think he was a little tired of wallowing in Liliness. I can't answer your question about Septima without serious spoilers, sorry! Thank you for the review!
She was being treated as if she was disposable, and she was letting them do it. Had he, through his own selfishness and foolishness, taught her that? That is a lightbulb moment if I ever saw one. I think he is very much to blame for her doormat issues, although she has some responsibility in it as well. Will he finally change his ways? While I am angry with Remus for using her, I am also angry with Severus for trying to keep Septima and Remus apart. If he doesn't want her, why should he care who she chooses to be with? His head is still a bit cloudy from Dumbledore's deception, but really, he needs to make up his mind.“I need your help.” She sounded strangely flat. That doesn't sound good ...
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Very good analysis of what's been going on, as I see it too. Thank you for that! That last bit in this chapter brings us to the afternoon of the night everything goes crazy in the canon. It's a safe bet that things will be different in the morning. Thank you for the review!
I have felt sympathetic for Remus up until recently because he was just a pawn in Dumbledore's game, same as everyone else. But now he is being very selfish and even though he is focused on a cure, doesn't he want to be with someone who wants him, not clearly in love with another man? Ugh! It is frustrating. But in the end, she ends up back with Severus, just where she belongs. Now if only they could get this memory business sorted out ...
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
He's caught up in Dumbledore's scheme, plus he's kind of using Septima. Now he knows she's aware of the whole thing, he thinks that makes it ok. They're working on the memories. They'll get there. Thank you for the review!
