Reviews for Quantum Mechanics
Where's Arthur's car when you need it? I feel like accidentally backing over Dumbledore. But, I love your Poppy. She is a good ally for them.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Hmmm... that car's just out in the forest... I have some backstory on Poppy and her attitude toward Dumbledore that I'm going to have to figure out how to include. If not, then there's going to be a one-shot. ;)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Oh, and thank you so much for the review!
Response from HBAR (Reviewer)
The car is not in the forest quite yet. I suspect it is still at his house with Molly in the backseat ready for some baby making ;) No wonder they have so many kids!I'm glad to hear there will be more on Poppy either in this story or as a companion piece!
Damn, damn, damn! Stupid Dark Lord. So worried about Septima, and for pete's sake, she needs to know about Renee/Hermione! GAH!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
It's kind of a pain, having to write some parts of canon into this, LOL, but Septima is going to have to face the Death Eater thing that she avoided before. Maybe it will help her face the other things, too. Thanks for the review!
Yes, perfect last line. I'm so glad he finally admitted his feeling to her. I think it took him a long time to realize them himself, but this is really good for them.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yes. He doesn't know for sure what he feels, but he at least knows he has some. They can work together on what that means, now. Thank you for the review!
Fair enough, indeed. I'm not really sure anyone should trust anyone here. Well, I think Severus and Septima have come to a place where they are committed and mean only good things for one another. Still, they have some room to grow and I can see one or the other bumbling things up several more times. I just want to strangle your Dumbledore!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yes, for all that they have this long history, Severus and Septima have never really lived together, and there are still some other issues. It's not going to be that easy. Thank you for the review!
Finally, Severus is getting smart. Don't touch the lemon drops.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Oh, yes. He's always going to have one eye on Dumbledore when he's in the room from now on. ;) Thank you, again, and thank you for all the help!
Lupin's a pretty good guy, can't blame him for wanting a cure. Dumbledore is another story.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I think the Lupin of the Marauders lets his friends overpower his conscience, and he's fallen into the same pattern here. Thanks for the review!
“Congratulate Remus, Severus. The witch is with child.” -- have I mentioned how much I absolutely despise Dumbledore in this story?
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I've never written a Dumbledore quite this evil. Usually he's just like any other normal person who tries to be good but has conflicts. This one has it out for Septima. Thank you, again!
“You're wearing the face of a woman in love, a woman who loves me, a woman who's just found bliss in my arms. I've never seen anything to compare to it.” -- awwwwww :D
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
He can be romantic when he digs deep. He somehow knows it's on him to reassure her right now. Thank you for the review!
mmm shower!Snape :o)The Lily/Severus/Septima dynamic is so difficult. It's good that they can talk about it and finally understand each other a bit more.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yes. He's still not mentioning her name, but he's starting to let go of Lily enough to honestly size up the situation and discuss it this much. Thank you!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)

Severus is such a fussy little patient, isn't he? Good thing Septima didn't notice him slipping up and almost calling Hermione their daughter. It seems funny to hear Severus speak kindly about Hermione since in canon and other fic, we are used to her being abused by him as a student. I'm really anxious for Septima to find out about their daughter!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
LOL, admitting he was hurt would be admitting that he hadn't come out of the skirmish very well. He doesn't always know what to think about her as his daughter all the time. He's proud of her, but he doesn't have the first idea about how to behave toward her. He's pretty anxious for Septima to learn about Hermionie, too, but he's worried that if he just tells her she'll have problems from it.Thanks, again!
Well it's about time Severus. Not that I think their relationship will be smooth sailing from here, but at least he has laid the groundwork for it.So, if Septima had gone to Remus, would he not have made it out to the Shrieking Shack? That would have changed things in so many ways.Off to read more ...
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
If Septima had gotten to Remus when she was "supposed to," it might have made a bit difference. He wouldn't have been twiddling his thumbs and looking at the map to kill time, LOL.There will be better and worse days ahead for Severus and Septima, but he's made a firm decision, at least. Thanks for the review!
Ooh, good canon tie-in. LIke the way he keeps almost slipping and referring to Hermione as their daughter. :)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Thank you! LOL, one of these days he's going to slip, she's not going to notice it at all and they're both going to say, "Hey, wait a minute..."Or something like that.
Glad he didn't go back to being distant after the issue with Black bringing back the memories of Lily to him. I love his pride in his daughter.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I suppose that's a kind of weak point in my story, that he's letting Septima be part of his grief at all, although she's the one he went to back when everything happened before, and he's just made that decision about the future and Septima. He's still being a bit choosy with the truth, never mentioning who Lily is. He's very proud of his daughter, isn't he? ;)
Response from debjunk (Reviewer)
I don't think that's a weak point. I think it shows some growth on his part. And with what he let free tonight, I would think Septima now knows who that mystery lady is.
With the Dumbledore you've got, and that last line, I'm almost wondering if Peter won't turn out to be a saint and Sirius a secret Death Eater.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Oh, my goodness, or even Remus. ~ponders what exactly I could do during next three books worth of canon~ Bwa ha ha. ;)Thank you so much for all your help and support!
Yes, well, he's a little mistaken on that part. Glad he did get some common sense and realizations with Septima. Also glad he kept her from a terrible fate. And, will she conceive?
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Ooo... good question. He's definitely turned a corner and decided to turn it for good. Thank you for the review!
I always loved the image of Sev racing for the Shack, potentially into the teeth of the werewolf, to save the kids. Little did I know, one of them was his ;-)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Do you think he would have dragged his feet a little if it had just been about Harry? LOL! Thank you, as always, for all your help!
Oooh, this doesn't bode well. I hope Dumbledore improves, I really feel unconfortable with evil!Dumbledore fics. It's a testament to your good writing that I keep reading regardless. Well done!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I've never written such an evil Dumbledore. Usually he's well meaning if a bit flawed from time to time. It's kind of fun. Thank you so much for the review!
What a tight web you've woven! Absolutely fascinating! Is it going to be Lupin who discovers Dumbledore's newest machination? Or will they all just assume Snape's being his unpleasant self again? I'm suspecting the old meddler has also altered Septima's memory at the child's birth. Has Severus yet thought about WHO did it?
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Thank you so much! Given the way things have gone the past several years, let's just say that Septima's going to be able to narrow it down.Did Dumbledore alter Septima's memory? I'll have to consider that. Thanks, again, for reading and reviewing!
Response from Bettina (Reviewer)
I forgot: I burn to see how it happens that Severus hurts his daughter in the scene with Hermione's long teeth.
Septima really should have gone straight to Sev. ~poisons Dumbles cocoa~
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Ooo.. off Dumbledore using a potion, after all that he's done with potions... hm...Thank you for all your help!
What the?
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Yeah, Dumbledore found another trick up his sleeve... and some brandy. Thank you for the review!
He's a manipulative old so-and-so, isn't he?
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
Oh, yes he is. He's perfectly awful and he's willing to pull some nasty tricks to get his way. Thank you for the review!
Yes, it is best to check ones company prior to dropping ones towel :)Bravo to Septima for a hard-earned win, but I fear she has won the battle, not the war. Your Dumbledore is a real piece of work. We'll leave it at that.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
I've really enjoyed writing this Dumbledore, who's pretty hard on his staff and has his own agenda and wishes. Thank you for the review!
I hope her last thought is correct. Geez, Dumbles is an evil you-know-what. I wonder if there's something more to his fury and ugliness about Severus and Septima, especially in the child department?
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
He's definitely got an ulterior motive or two, and it does seem as though he was choosing between lesser evils there, doesn't it? Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!
oooo ... tricky tricky Septima
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Quantum Mechanics)
She's capable of using her head once in a while! ;)Thank you for the review!
