Counter-attack, Severus! Ask Igor whether he knows this since he himself has fathered the child, and why he's then so poorly defending his territory. When he denies, you can continue, asking, "Then where is the father, why isn't he doing his job?" I hope they get to the ground of things from 15y ago, if Septima is otherwise unable to find a basis for a relation to Hermione. It's eating up Severus--as if he didn't have enough to worry about already. Nice to finally know what had railed Snape up so much he destroyed all the rose bushes! A great chapter once again!

Ooo... that's a clever exchange. Actually, this school year dove-tails with my Karkaroff/Sinistra story and something else entirely is going on. Thanks, as always!

Of course he's going to act like any dad, LOL, and he's going to be over-protective. Karkaroff is so self-aborbed by his own problems that he shouldn't be too difficult to deflect. Thank you for the review!
Oooooh, I love worried father Severus. It was so sweet to see him in the typical protective dad role. Things have gone too smoothly for a few chapters, and I fear something bad on the horizon.
