Fred and George Weasley’s troublemaking careers didn’t start the day they reached Hogwarts. In fact, they had been honing their mischief-making talents for years with the help of a feisty little Muggle girl named Annie Jones from Ottery St. Catchpole. Their secret friendship continued even after the twins began leaving for Hogwarts, as the children kept in touch via owl post. It deepened into something more as teenagers, when George and Annie discovered an attraction to each other that they couldn’t resist. Their love struggles to survive one of the most trying times in the magical world – the Second War – and its devastating consequences. A happily-ever-after awaits them… eventually. Rating and warnings for later chapters. In this chapter, seven-year-olds George and Fred make an interesting acquaintance in a bowtruckle-infested oak tree, and a friendship is born.

I'm a bored but happy stay-at-home mom to two little boys (ages 12 and 6). My friends and family think I'm the biggest HP geek, but I know better since I've discovered fanfiction!
I'm very excited to be releasing original works of fiction! My first novel, Old Enough to Know Better, is about a fanfiction writer who falls for an actor who plays her favorite fictional character. It's a fun, steamy, dramatic contemporary romance. Desert Menage Trilogy follows the three main characters as they initiate a loving, lasting triadic bond (including Nine Dates, Tri Me, and Wholly Trinity). The Footmen is a futuristic menage romance set in a grim gynocracy. I also write a paranormal suspense/romance series about a young girl gifted with ESP. Brimstone and Portents are the first two books.
All my books are available in both e-format and paperback on Amazon. If you're interested in learning more about these and other upcoming releases, including reading excerpts, please visit my website and sign up to receive future newsletters.
Reviews for George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography
i've just found this story and read the first three chapters straight through. It's a really different idea, and alreadyI love little Annie. How sad it is that there has to besuch a division between the two worlds.

Thank you for the kind review! I admit, I am particularly proud of my OC, Annie. I like to think she's not a Mary Sue .
Wow... I kept waiting for it to get worse. Phew. Maybe they'll *feel* like it's worse when Molly cottons on to the marriage...
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Get worse? Yikes! I thought a home invasion and attempted kidnapping were pretty darn bad....I wanted to give Annie a chance to somehow hold her own against a magical threat. To prove herself *not* helpless in the face of it. I like to think she did, here. And the encounter certainly has personal ramifications for her. And Molly will have her moment soon (laughing diabolically). Thanks for the reviews, Rose!
Uh oh, not good. *trembles* :)
George being there to help Annie through her grief is quite sweet. I kind of disagree with him and Fred, though. Now was the time to present the accomplished fact before Molly. She would have done an abbrieviated nut because she wouldn't want to go off on Annie just then.Wow... The Malfoy thing is creepy... this can't be good.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thank goodness for George - Annie rightly predicted she couldn't get through this without him.And the thing with Molly... well... George does have his reasons to fear her ;)Malfoy thing = dum dum dum!P.S. Congrats, Rose, on your story being featured this month!!
Response from Rose of the West (Reviewer)
Thank you! I'm honored!
bonus mid-week update!!! but who is Michael - and what's his story hmm?
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Oh, my lovely, clever, suspicious little readers! Can't a dog just be a dog? What does he have to do to prove himself to you? Here's a pic of pretty Michael if you're curious: http://www.skyhiaussies.com/images/denalibobcrop.jpg
Response from feisanna (Reviewer)
oh he's darling. Okay...i'll pretend for now he's just a dog, but i'm going to reserve the right to say Ah Ha! outloud at home if he turns out to be magical or part magical animal in some manner
That dog is an interesting addition to the mix. I'm not sure I trust his backstory. Meanwhile, this whole thing with Stephen doesn't sit quite right, either. Unless he's in some 12 step program, he seems to be going to an awful lot of trouble just to say he's sorry.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Stephen in a 12 step program! Bah! Very funny! Isn't the first step always admitting you have a problem?Of course, Stephen has ulterior motives: he's a selfish bastard. He's not exactly the type to concede a contest to the better man. Or take no for an answer. Or fight fair. He's trying to pull out all the stops to turn Annie's head, sensing she might be lost to him for good.Poor, deluded Stephen. I do kinda pity him, a little.
Love the way the Weasleys have accepted her. :)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Me, too! (giggle)
Lovely moments there, serious, scary, and fun all at the same time. I can't wait to get through the rest of this school year, though. Life is enough of an adventure without psychopathic meglomaniacs chasing a person.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thank you, Rose! I can always depend on you for a review! So glad you're enjoying it!
Fred's approval means a lot to her. Now, to work on the rest of the wizarding world. :)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Unfortunately, the rest of wizarding world will prove to be rather uncooperative, won't it?
That's sweet... Fred giving his blessing. It's nice to see that she's becoming part of the "gang" but not enough so that she knows anyone's name. This chapter is a nice view of the scene from a different angle.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thanks! It was time for Fred to "get it" with respect to George and Annie's relationship. This chapter was another of my little "tweaks" to canon. My alibi is that with all the traumatic hubub of the mission, Harry & company didn't have the wherewithal to notice or pay much attention to a diminutive Muggle girl on the periphery of the Burrow's crowd. Harry's focus was certainly elsewhere.
I love how you covered Dumbledore's death as a she reflects on the conversation with George. Nicely done. (as was the birthday and dancing).
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thank you! I couldn't imagine something as momentous as Dumbledore's death wouldn't have affected their relationship, and yet... it's stronger than that, isn't it? I could've gone the "let's break up and be miserable without each other until the war's over" route, but I thought it rang more true to their personalities (stubborn! defiant!) to show them deciding to tough it out.
Oh, my! Life is so sweet, yet so scary and tragic at the same time! I hope it all comes out all right.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thank you, Rose! With the next chapter, we plunge into the time corresponding with Deathly Hallows, so hard times are still ahead. But we're only about a third of the way through my story, and I'm a sucker for happy endings, so don't give up on me!
ah, lovely as always. Thanks for giving me something to look foward to each Tuesday. I can't wait to keep reading how thier love affair continues.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thank you! I'm so glad you're enjoying it. There's lots more to come!
Response from feisanna (Reviewer)
only a 1/3 of the way through!!! that's super exciting on my part. can't wait :)
she discovered every cliché she had ever read in a romantic novel was apparently accurate: - oh and she is right - when the person is right!
"How did you ever get that completely false impression?"
Once again, the master of great lines.
Fred is a dork, isn't he. I suspect if he asked his dad, he'd learn that George didn't fall far from the tree. LOL. I do like how you have portrayed the difference between the twins. I can't see Arthur as a player. I can see the twins (cannon) as having that potential.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
George and Annie are definitely "right" for each other! ;)And Fred is a good guy at heart, even if he's gotten a little caught up in chasing women all of the sudden. I do think it's easy for a cute guy who's had a little run of success with women to get rather cocky rather quickly, and Fred is surely guilty of this. I'll further admit that I'd find it pretty difficult to resist a cute smart-ass, myself (which becomes patently obvious if you ever meet my husband, ha ha). George is lucky he has Annie to keep him grounded. :)Thanks for the complimentary review!
What a great chapter! You captured both the sweetness and intensity of this moment perfectly. I love the lightbulb exploding. You do very well at showing the differences between Fred and George's personalities. So often stories make them seem like 2 of the same person, but your story has really brought their individuality to life- well done! You have done so well weaving this tale into the cannon of HP- I am always waiting in anticipation for the next update.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
I'm so happy someone caught the lightbulb thing... so far you're the first one who's mentioned it!I think JKR did a great job with canon, and although I didn't agree with every single choice she made (George ending up with Angelina? WTF?), I wanted to stay true to her story to the furthest extent possible with my story. Since George and Fred were for the most part marginal characters in canon, my job was made a bit easier. The Yule Ball thing was a minor tweak (it's not very clear whether George went or not, so I gave him a bit of solitude for a moment of soul searching), and of course, I couldn't pass up the chance to take advantage of the "paper shop girl" from HBP. There are a few more tweaks in upcoming chapters, but since canon is from Harry's POV and he's rather distracted throughout HBP & DH, it's (hopefully) believable that he didn't pay much attention to Annie's presence. So glad you're enjoying the story! Thanks for the review!
Now they've taken the final step there's no going back! Not that they'd want to. :)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Yes, I think they're both firmly past the point of no return. Onwards and upwards! Thanks for the review!
I wouldn't have minded if they had waited longer, but it was a sweet moment for them. It's an interesting comparison between Fred and George, and George realizes that Ron may be more like himself. (Actually, I think Ron is the one who's most like Arthur) I hope Fred realizes that even twins might have a different approach to how they live their lives and doesn't let it separate them.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
I guess I didn't see the point of making them wait any longer. They've been in love for nearly 3 years now, and I hope I've made it clear this relationship is for the long haul. I didn't see them as the sort to wait until they were married, really. And they are trying to be responsible about it, as well.Interesting comment regarding the Weasely boys' relationships with each other and their father. In my mind, I always saw George as being most like Arthur, but I think I see your point about Ron. And as irritating as Fred is being to George, he really is motivated by genuine concern for his brother (and to a lesser extent, Annie). Thanks for the review!
Response from Rose of the West (Reviewer)
Well, of course we never see Arthur as a teenage boy, but we do see flashes of the same temper (like right after George is injured) that we see in Ron, who will grow into a more relaxed personality in a few years. After I posted my review I wondered if maybe here is where the seeds of George hiring Ron to run the shop with him are born. I don't think they're the kind of kids to wait, either, and I'm glad you didn't create some date when they both knew it was definitely going to happen. The reader knew what was going to happen, but _they_ got caught up in the moment, which I think is more natural and certainly very romantic.
ah - lovely as always. and such a tender scene between George and Annie. I loved how he discovered her tattoo!
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thank you so much! I know I say this a lot, but I loved writing the tattoo scene. I love how playful they are with each other - a good sense of humor can be a very sexy thing, I think.
oh no - an attack in Ottery St. Catchpole!!! Poor Fred and George. I liked the interaction between Annie and Prof. Dumbledore, will they get to meet again? And will Annie get to meet the Weasley Clan soon?
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Yes, Death Eaters even in Ottery. The Weasleys are not the only magical residents of Devonshire, after all. But like good neighbors, they're always there when you need them.Glad you liked the Dumbledore exchange!Regarding Annie meeting the rest of the Weasleys... do you think George can keep her a secret from Molly forever? Thanks for the review!
She's getting sucked in ever closer to the wizarding world. :)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
And their timing couldn't have been better.... Why not fall in love right before a war? ;)
Counting cards. Who'd have thought? :)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Annie is a very clever girl. She has to be to keep George on his toes ;)
I like that he's meeting her people and having the right reactions to them. I get that he's also starting to appreciate what it must have been like for her while he was at Hogwarts. It will likewise be fun to see what Molly thinks of Annie.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
George isn't perfect, but he's perfect for Annie (and vice versa). Annie doesn't really need rescuing, but I think it's sweet that he feels driven to do so. He's turned out to be a surprisingly (?) sensitive young guy.And while George didn't exactly have a peach of a time at Hogwarts (an entirely home-schooled, mildly ADHD, shy kid raised in an almost hermit-like existence that shunned most public contact got thrown into a big ocean of social requirements at a boarding school), at least he was surrounded by his siblings the whole time. They were his safety net - Annie only had Gran, her letters to George, and eventually, Jane. Lastly, I think you'll enjoy the chapter when Annie meets Molly. You won't have too much longer to wait.
Oh, that's fantastically funny! Those two are such a pair, together. I like the way they're taking things slowly and I like the way Fred figures in now and then, too.And best of all, we get to find out what the twins do when they're not at work!
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Fred and George are perhaps not quite as inseparable as they were in their earlier years, but they still spend plenty of time together, even away from the Wheezes. And there is a strong friendship between Annie and Fred as well, which wouldn't stop just because his brother is dating her. There's still plenty of Fred to come!
Beautiful kisses, lovely flight despite the ending. I love them like this, trying out their grown-up roles without giving up their camaraderie.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
What a lovely way to put it, "trying out their grown-up roles without giving up their camaraderie." Glad you liked the smooching, too. It was fun to be a fly on the tree branch for Annie and George's date. Thanks for the review, my dear!
LOL. Just flip off the broom like a monkey bar! :)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Shades of my own elementary school experience, I'm afraid. Not the broom-flying part, sadly...Thanks for the review!
