Fred and George Weasley’s troublemaking careers didn’t start the day they reached Hogwarts. In fact, they had been honing their mischief-making talents for years with the help of a feisty little Muggle girl named Annie Jones from Ottery St. Catchpole. Their secret friendship continued even after the twins began leaving for Hogwarts, as the children kept in touch via owl post. It deepened into something more as teenagers, when George and Annie discovered an attraction to each other that they couldn’t resist. Their love struggles to survive one of the most trying times in the magical world – the Second War – and its devastating consequences. A happily-ever-after awaits them… eventually. Rating and warnings for later chapters. In this chapter, seven-year-olds George and Fred make an interesting acquaintance in a bowtruckle-infested oak tree, and a friendship is born.

I'm a bored but happy stay-at-home mom to two little boys (ages 12 and 6). My friends and family think I'm the biggest HP geek, but I know better since I've discovered fanfiction!
I'm very excited to be releasing original works of fiction! My first novel, Old Enough to Know Better, is about a fanfiction writer who falls for an actor who plays her favorite fictional character. It's a fun, steamy, dramatic contemporary romance. Desert Menage Trilogy follows the three main characters as they initiate a loving, lasting triadic bond (including Nine Dates, Tri Me, and Wholly Trinity). The Footmen is a futuristic menage romance set in a grim gynocracy. I also write a paranormal suspense/romance series about a young girl gifted with ESP. Brimstone and Portents are the first two books.
All my books are available in both e-format and paperback on Amazon. If you're interested in learning more about these and other upcoming releases, including reading excerpts, please visit my website and sign up to receive future newsletters.
Reviews for George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography
Twins, huh? Double trouble, just like Fred and George. :)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Yet another challenge for George and Annie to face. ;)
I'm pleased Fred came round, but what was with Ollivander, huh? ;)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Ollivander is a strange old bird.
I love to see the way they are moving on and getting ready for the next part of their lives. Lee's story is very sweet. Unfortunately, now that Stephen has stopped by, somehow I don't think he's going to stay out of the picture forever.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Good old Lee - he's a good mate. More of him to come! And Stephen is still Stephen.
Knowing what is to come with Fred, I'm glad they've patched things up. At least some little time before thestorm. And on another tack - couldn't George magicallyenhance the bed to fit both of them more comfortably?
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Regarding the bed: I think George is pretty pleased with the dimensions as they are, regardless of any protest to the contrary (wink).
Response from AmyLouise (Reviewer)
Ha! Wait until Annie starts to expand!
Wouldn't you know that Fred would be the stick-in-the-mud? I suspect his problem was as much that he needed something, anything to be upset with just then so that he could vent his tension. No one can stay angry at Annie for long, though.I have some thoughts about Ollivander's seeming interest in Annie. I'll have to watch what you do with that. The next bits aren't going to be happy. I can't decide whether I want you to hurry up and post or just wait for a while and enjoy the aura left by the end of this one.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Regarding Fred - I think you might be right. Not to mention George and Annie both are incredibly important people to him - he loves them both quite a bit - and he's upset that they are now so very vulnerable. And yes, very sad times are just around the corner. But I do promise a happily ever after! The honest truth is that the entire story leading up to this was essentially a big set-up for the next moment. The board is set and all the pieces in place: everything I thought he needed to get him through the trial to come is ready now. It won't be a quick fix, but the rest of the story is definitely NOT doom and gloom, I promise! Thanks, Rose, for your steadfast (and insightful!) reviews! I'd be so depressed without them!
Uh oh, who was watching them? :)
I like that the heartache is being taken within the context of a life well-lived and few regrets."This marriage isn't going to consummate itself!" George called from the bedroom. I don't know how, but coming from George that line is perfectly romantic and also perfectly him. I love this little pact he's entered into with Gran that makes sure Annie will be taken care of, but somehow protects her dignity, too.I suspect there will be a second wedding, however. I don't see Molly taking this without a ceremony she gets to witness.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thank you, Rose! I thought the chapter title was a kinda poetic notion, as well (pats self on back).Love, love George. All ways, every way. Annie is a lucky girl. Sigh. And Molly will certainly have something to say about the wedding... dum dum dum!
Aww - that was a really lovely chapter. Perfect balance of sadness and happiness and I loved the fact that Fred got to be there too. But, I'm seriously worried about Annie's gran being left in the hospital with who I suspect is a Death Eater outside. Or is it more likely he followed them back to the house... I await the next chapter! xXx
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. And there was no way Fred was going to miss the biggest event in their lives. The next chapter is in the queue....
Heh, I'd forgotten that the Diggory's were neighbors of the Weasleys. The new house sounds like an awsome arrangement.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
What's the use in having a friend who's an architect if they won't build a house for you? (giggle)
Sniff, it's just as hard losing Fred the second time. I should have guessed it would be twins :o)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
They do run in families! :)
Glad that things are all right with Fred and George after all, because clearly DH is coming to it's bloodbath conclusion.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Yes, as my story is (with the exception of all the OCs) canon-compliant, I couldn't leave it with George and Fred at loggerheads.
I love Annie's fantasy of wearing the Hogwarts robes, glad all is sorted out with Arthur and Molly.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
All sorted for the moment, anyway...
Quite enjoyable, just as always! I'm glad Molly got a night off! I'm also glad that George got a chance to... erm... blow off some steam, in lieu of a better way to put it. ;)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Tee hee! Annie needed to "vent" just as much as George did! ;)But seriously, it had to be very stressful for them living as if being constantly watched by the enemy. Molly would have been worried to distraction about all her little chicks scattered out of her sight and in danger. I can imagine Molly, George & Fred kinda being at each other's throats after a while.
Heh, I love that it is Steven furnishing Harry's disguise. Excellent job with the wedding and ensuing chaos, thrilling moment with George protecting Annie with his body. So glad they are engaged.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thanks! My heart was pounding when I wrote some of this one. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thatagirl, Annie! She's seen the Magical world at its worst, now, but what other choices does she truly have, and would Obliviation really be any safer? I think she picked the right option.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
I think so, too, Rose! I hope that no one, at this point, had any serious doubts as to Annie's commitment (or George's). Considering her lifelong experiences with the twins are kind of what has kept her sane all this time, she can't imagine not even having memories of them! And yet, she's devoted to her Gran as well. Taking care of her has led Annie to a maturity beyond her years, I think. Thanks so much for all your reviews!
And we're up to Deathly Hollows, are we? 'Scuse me while I get the tissues handy.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Yes, the story at this point is concurrent with DH, *and* it's canon compliant (for the most part), so....I do promise a happy ending, though, so be strong! :)
Wow, good thing that chapter started on a happy note, I'm trying to picture the look on George's face after Anne has her way with him. Glad they didn't break up, amazing job you did on that - so much emotion and it reads true.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thank you! I couldn't imagine an event like Dumbledore's death wouldn't affect them very deeply.
That was a lucky escape! :)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Indeed!
love the chapter as always. Thanks so much for writing every week :)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
It's my pleasure, I assure you! Thanks for the reviews!
awwww, I hope anne had more than one of those protection thingies, and I'm getting suspicious about her birthday :)
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Never fear, Annie is well-supplied and responsible!
oh that Fred, but we knew Arthur and Molly would like Annie. Surprised Arthur didn't hijack her all night to learn about plugs.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thanks! The twins do love a good prank.
Mmm... I think I could stand to see a little "prudence," LOL! Nicely done, to weave the canon in with your story, here, and use it as a catapult to move the relationship forward, Yay!
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it! And "catapult" is a rather apt metaphor, I think! This chapter is my first foray into "action" (in this story) and I'm always very nervous how it comes across. I remember sitting up well past midnight writing it one night, my own adrenaline making my fingers shake. I worry that I didn't quite get all the fear and excitement down into the story.
Response from Rose of the West (Reviewer)
I thought the action was great! I'm pretty lame at action, myself, and when I write a decent scene I feel like I've run a marathon.
Ahh, love the pool game, great image of the poolballs doing all manner of unnatural things. Pity about Stephen being such a jerk, but then it's not like he ever stood a chance with George there.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thanks. And yes, Stephen < George... big time. In so many ways.
I lurrrrrve the name Anharad. Reminds me of an SCA friend I haven't seen in years.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Me, too! I fell in love with it from "How Green Was My Valley."
Good for Fred! And how nice that George *finally* gets to show off his magic.
Response from shosier (Author of George & Annie: An Unofficial Biography)
Thanks! It has been a long time coming! :)
