Having Lucius there would be a nice plot twist, but it's not to be.  He and Narcissa are pretty horrible.  I think Hermione is feeling the same way you are about that kiss!  We'll just have to see what the future brings, right?

This will defintely be different.  If, by some odd chance, Severus becomes a Death Eater, it will not be because he is pining away after Hermione.  I believe he's learned his lesson from Hermione's description of her past.  Like Voldemort would find a Mudblood for him anyway!  That makes no sense!  The other options do, though.  But that's not the direction we'll be going in.  Thanks!!

I think I agree with you.  Either way, there will be hurt feelings.  She will need to think carefully about what she does. Dumbledore is annoying.  He makes it look like he's caring, but he just cares about his outcomes and not what happens to his puppets.  Hermione will eventually give him a piece of her mind about some of his actions.

I tried to keep them in character, especially for the beginning, when they're just getting to know one another.  Now, the future, that's a different story.

I believe you're right.  She is a fair minded person, therefore is also a fairminded teacher.  She would have loved to have the same respect from Severus in his older self.

Thank you!  She's really trying with Lucius, but he seems to really push her buttons with his constant flirting!  She will need to get to the point where that doesn't bother her, or she will turn him away, like you said.Covert is good, and Hermione doesn't want any 'problems' with the future timeline.  But she is attracted to him as he is to her.  That can only be ignored for so long.

All of those thoughts plague Hermione, especially the one's about Severus.  She is very fearful of starting anything with him at this point because of the uncertainty of the future.  I'm glad you're having fun with the story.
