What would happen if Severus found out what his life would be like as a Death Eater before he got the Dark Mark? What would happen if Hermione was the one to tell him. AU SSHG A time turner fic.

I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

I just now found this story. Very interesting premis. Well written. It may take me a while to catch up, but this first chapter shows promise of much good entertainment to come. Thanks for writing.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thank you! Yeah, this is a long one. I'm glad you like the beginning. There's obviously much more to come, and I hope you continue to enjoy it.
Oh yes, now it's getting really really good! Not that it wasn't brilliant before (you knew I loved it already, right?) But greasy old Lucius - who has always had a far too high opinion of himself if you ask me - is about the get HIS... and not what he thinks he's going to get!Bring. It. On.!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
LOL. Definitely not what he thinks he's going to get. This dude doesn't know the meaning of humility, and that will be his downfall. Just the thought that she wouldn't be swooning over him would never cross his mind. I appreciate the love, hon.
Hey Deb! Dude Seriously I give mad props to Hermione. I don't think I would have made it to the bathroom before losing my lunch. I think Lucius' shoes would have been wearing it. Ewwwww the pig. I was so happy to see Severus being so supportive and understanding after he realized how disguested she was. I love this story so much! I can't wait to see what happens next. Much Love ~ Karen
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Hi, hon! I'm not sure if I would have been able to not throw up right in Lucius' mouth! But she knew she had to keep it cool to have the plan work. More to come, obviously!Deb
I did NOT see that coming. Brilliantly done. I'm glad that Severus was angry with her. Can't wait for the party!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Wow, I had you there, huh? The party will be no party, I assure you!
Oh, wow. You never fail to provoke an emotional response. Short, but powerful chapter.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thanks, Merrin! I appreciate that.
I can't help but think that this (convincing Lucius) was just a little too easy for Hermione... but I'm a naturally paranoid individual. On the other hand, after all she's been through, so should she be! I hope she and the others aren't being set up for something here. I'm on the edge of my seat to see what happens at the party...
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
None of them will go into this without caution. After all... nothing ever goes as planned.
Poor Lucius is setting himself up for a major fall! :)
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Definitely a major one, that's for sure!
Oh, she didn't reach Lucius at all! He's horrible. I think Severus too the news of what happened all too well, but I see his point - she did manage to get him invited to the Manor.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
The only thing she succeeded in doing with Lucius was to make him have a new view of Muggle-borns. That actually was her objective. No one predicted that his love for power would remain.Severus knows that sometimes you have to do something awful to get a job done. He's been a spy for a long time now, after all.
Severus is so forgiving. But Lucius what a creep. I look forward to the party!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Well, Severus has been a spy too. He knows what has to be done sometimes to achieve an objective.
Oh, Lucius! I kept thinking about his admiration of Hermione, but assumed it was nothing more. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
He admired her all right! Too bad he can't love his wife like that.
(bites fingers) is this party a trap?? I fear that the Order is being set up by clever Lucius! and what does CIssa think of all this.... thanks for the new chapter!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
It could be. Or, Lucius could be so full of himself that he would never think that a woman's attraction to him would be false. Either way, this will not be a walk in the park. Cissa enjoys the power as well, but as Lucius said, she's quite jealous of the attention her husband gets.
Oooo...I can't believe him! What a sleezeoid!(my own word) Well anyway, can't wait for the party
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
He is definitely a sleazeoid! A calculative sleazeoid.
how disconcerting it must be for hermione to come back to this brave new world! thank goodness she has severus by her side. superb update, my deb. thanks soo much and it's true...it's lovelier the second time arround! (me blowing kisses)
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thanks, kimjo! *kisses and hugs* I'm sure she'll head to bed tonight and her mind will be a whirlwind of thoughts. She's not even through half the day yet! But at least most things are good changes. I'll bet she's not too sure about Petunia and Sirius, but in time, I think she'll come to accept even an oddity like that. Again, the operative word here is time.
A new chapter.I know stating the obvious. It was wonderful.I can understand the spinning of a mind.Mine does that without time travel.Who is the undersecretary?Percy?Nah, he's a Weasley..Where is Draco? Will it be Hermione's appearance that will turn Luc on his ear?Waiting for more wonderful chapters.Patty
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thanks! Lucius will definitely be surprised by Hermione's appearance, even though he knows she's to come back eventually. Draco will be back eventually. At this point, the Undersecretary is an unknown man who is thick with Lucius. I'm not sure if I'll give him an identity or not. I think of him as probably a non-DE, but a Voldie sympathizer who was never recognized or caught.
Oh Wow. Another amazing chapter! I was wondering when she was going to find out about Sirius and the whole Petunia situation. I think I'd be a little shocked too. She took it well though. It's also kinda weird knowing that you basically killed yourself. I'm so happy he's got "his" Hermione back and she's jumping right into action...with him and fighting the evil Lucius. Much Love ~ Karen
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Oh, wouldn't that be one of the biggest shockers? She's floored, but like you said, she's taking it well. Albus helped her to know that things would be different, so I guess she's somewhat prepared for anything.
hang on, just picking up bits of brain... ;)
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Sorry... Would you like a dustbin? Things will smooth out eventually. She can't be befuddled forever... right?
Oh my. All the changes in time would totally make my head spin. I feel for Hermione. I have to admit, during the whole read through, I had trouble keeping all the facts straight in my head. Imagine living it. This is very Back to the Future for me, but ultimately better, with cooler characters. Everything is better with Severus...sigh.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Everything really is better with Severus, isn't it. Hermione really is quite floored with all the differences, and she's only seen a little bit so far. Still, I think I'd rather be her than have had to be Severus, waiting all that time for her to come back.
great chapter! i can't wait to read more!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thanks!
I like Severus's Hermione better. Is Ron the undersecretary? No, he isn't smart enough, I hope.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
You're right there. He's not the undersecretary. We find out a little about what Ron is up to in the next chapter. He's not working at the Ministry at all.
I was hoping that she'd have some retentionof the other self, osmosis or something like that. There were things about her that I was hoping she'd keep. Oh, well.So they are going to raid the Manor. Humm
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
I know. It's too bad she doesn't even have any memories of her other self. She'll get a chance to see things through the other Hermione's eyes eventually. And they are planning a raid on the manor. We'll see how that goes.
This is a fun story. The only problem I have is Hermione losing her timeline. It would be very disconcerting, no matter how much better the new timeline was. In the movie "Frequency" with Dennis Quaid and James Caviezel, the main character remembered both sets of circumstances simultaneously. He changed time and would wake the next day with both memories or in his case, all the memories. Time travel stories are so much fun. So many possibilities.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
That's pretty cool. We'll have a bit of recovering of Hermoine's thoughts. I, too, feel badly that she was lost in the time shift.
Fun chapter and I loved the domino effect that Hermione's time travel caused.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Funny how a little trip back in time can have such far reaching repercussions.
so who are Lucius' undersecretary and allies? is Ron with that crowd now? what of Kreacher, Dobby, Winky, Mad-Eye Moody in this revised universe? looks like Hermione is quickly acclimatizing to the new reality! I'm glad S&H are getting some quality cuddling time. thanks for the new chapter!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
It really is nice to have Hermione back. Ron is not involved in the Ministry. You'll find out what he does in the next chapter. Mad-eye would be working with the resisitance. The House-elves are all alive and well and evidently working at Hogwarts and Kreacher is at Grimmauld with Ginny and Harry.
Omg, OMG! This was amazing. I mean AMAZING. Like Aerosmith singing "It's Amazing" in the backround and everything. Seriously I LOVED IT! I loved how you didn't try to fix absolutley everything... People still died. But good stuff happened too! And No "Death by Snake!" I Love it. Now I shall paitently await Hermione's arrival in her new future!!! Much Love Always ~ Karen Lyn
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Definitely no death by snake! He's been through enough with barely surviving being discovered as a spy. I'm glad you liked everything. I wanted a little more action between Harry and Voldie. It seemed a bit odd to me that they just circled each other and 'chatted' in canon without throwing a single hex at each other until the 'final blow.' Things will hopefully move along quickly with the next chapter and you'll have your reunion soon.
Nah, this turn of events was satisfactory enough. Some had to go and yet there was at least one or two that were spared that I can live with. LOLSo, now what?
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Now what? Chuckle. Filler, as I said. We'll see what happens between now and Hermione's return. But we won't see or hear about Lucius until Hermione's return in chapter 35. That's a surprise of sorts. Other than that, you'll have to see.
