I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

Omg. That sucks. I was hoping there would be some way for Severus to avoid the whole exile thing. Damnit. Harrys going to spout off at the mouth and its going to be so hurtful. Arrrgh. Anyways on a lighter not I think Petunia & Sirius is a great idea! Please update soon. Much Love ~Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
It would have been much better for him had he not had to go into exile, but like he said, it's better that than to actually kill the old geezer.Harry can be a hothead, and he actually has a reason for being upset. Hopefully, he'll listen to reason.
Yay, yay yay! Sirius Lives!! You have no idea how happy I am about that. Seriously I was so upset with the end of OotP because of that he was like one of my fave characters! And now he's alive! So Awesome! You rock my sox! I'm off to read the next Chappie! Thanks for making my day! Much Love ~Brena

Hopefully, you'll be even happier with what happens with Sirius next. I too felt badly when Sirius died. So, I FIXED it!. Bwahahaha!
I'm really surprised that Lucius wuld want Draco to follow in his glorious footsteps after all. I mean, he's not changed then? He still 'wanted glory for his son,' and all that? I'm really disapointed. Maybe her trip back in time didn't work out all that well.Severus taking Ron into the club, that was a interesting thing. Ron at least showed some gumption and ability. I'm not surprised at all baout Sirius and Petunia.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Oh, you're the first to pick up on that. Very clever. I will neither confirm nor deny your supposition. But maybe I just did. We won't find out exactly what happens with Lucius until Hermione returns. Then all will be clear... as mud. Just kidding.Ron's a decent fighter, and his relationship and evilness to Hermione aside, he's a great help to Harry emotionally. When Harry asked about including him, Severus figured that because the three of them would be in this until the end, it wouldn't hurt to have Ron well prepared.
Sirius and Petunia. Why not?
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Yeah, everyone deserves to be happy.
Thank you for another chapter. I can't wait to read what will happen next, because Harry must be even more disappointed about Snape, now that he thought that Severus was a friend.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
You can just imagine how he's feeling right now. He considers Severus a friend and mentor. He can't believe that Snape's done this to another friend and somewhat of a mentor. Poor kid.
I absolutely love this story! I squee every time I see its been updated This chapter was fantastic! I wondered how you would handle the events of HBP. Now I wonder how Harry, Hermione and Ron will react to our favorite Potions Master. Of course, I hope that the initial plan worked and Dumbledore was spared.I liked Sirius and Petunia. I just want Sirius to be less of a prat. When his character died originally in OOTP I was so sad - until I learned how much of a jerk he was in his youth and continued to be in his adulthood. At any rate, wonderful story! Can't wait for our KIA and PM to be reunited. That will be fantastic...and I hope not heart breaking.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Dumbledore was spared. I can at least tell you that! You'll see Hermione's and Harry's reactions in the next chapter. Sirius is kind of complex. I think his stay in Azkaban has made him grow, but he's still quick to dislike Severus and believe anything bad about him. As you can imagine, he'll have a less than positive reaction to this new event.
Holy crap!! couldn't he just have obliviated Ron after beathing the daylights out of him?? LOL Liking Sirius and Petunia. It's quirky, but that's why I like it. I can't believe how awful it is that Harry doesn't know what happened on the tower. I honestly thing that's worse than the canon way!! Please update soon, no fingernails left!!!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Quirky is sometimes fun. Severus beating Ron to a pulp would have been incredibly satisfying. But, he is a professor and must keep some modicum of decorum. I'm sure he was tempted and probably had the whole scenario mapped out in his mind. It probably extended to Ron turning out like Lockhart and babbling to himself at St. Mungos for the rest of his life. (Maybe I should go back and change that... it would make the future a lot easier on everyone, wouldn't it?) Harry's fondness of Severus does make this little attempted murder a big stumbling block, doesn't it? He is running after Severus, so there's a chance that things might work out for the better this time around. That's all I'm going to say on that. Thanks rhiannon.
Lovely chapter! I don't know what I liked best.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
There was quite a bit going on. I'm glad you enjoyed it all.
In response to whether Hermione is smart or silly about Severus- I'd have to say, she's being most unwise. She's five years his senior, is holding a professorial-type job at his school, and is an authority figure. While being his friend would be fine, telling him everything about the future and getting romantic notions is foolishness. While romance cannot be controlled, it can be contained. And though it is essential that she share SOME details of the future with him, sharing ALL of it is really not advisable.
Re: the rest of our story- I'm really enjoying it. Cool plot, Lucius is a stupid dick, and I adore Severus. But be careful of run-on sentences. Often you use a comma to connect independent clauses (phrases that could be sentences alone, but that you have chose to turn into one longer sentence.) For example: I like big houses; I grew up in a big house. You will note that there is a semicolon instead of a comma there- that is because independent clauses can be attached with either a semicolon or a conjunction (FANBOYS- for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so). It just reads better if the grammar details are correct. But otherwise, I'm really impressed!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thank you! I appreciate your advice. I've been noticing it a little bit myself when I edit (in later chapters in this and in other stories I have going.) I've actually been trying to eliminate some of those excessive commas and use those 'fanboy' replacements. It's nice to see I'm on the right track. As for Hermione, she really wants to see Severus in the future as a less tortured soul, so she's told him all she could about his future. She has left a lot out, like Sirius' role in the whole story and when exactly Lily and James are killed. But she HAS really revealed an awful lot. As you can expect, the future will be changed a bit because of her revelations. Although some would be afraid to change the future like that, she's not. I suppose Dumbledore's encouragement helps her to be more bold about what she reveals to him. She'll really struggle with her feelings in the chapters to come. She's not sure she wants to change the future THAT much!
Sirius and Petunia? OK, wow now there's a pairing I never considered. I just don't see someone going from Vernon Dursley to Sirius Black, Of course a few months ago I would never have considered Hermione Granger and Severus Snape as a couple either. Show me how this pairing works, what they might have in common other than one is the sister to the others best friend.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
I don't even think that her being Lily's sister factored into Sirius' attraction to her. I think these two could use some happiness. Sirius, despite his obnoxious treatment of Severus, has suffered a lot from his stint in Azkaban. It's made him grow a bit. He even admits to Harry that he can lighten up on Severus and that in wartime they need to work together. Thankfully, he's not the same obnoxious git he was as a student.I think if Petunia hadn't grown since her divorce from Vernon, Sirius wouldn't be interested. She's hardly the snobby wench she used to be. She's worked hard in the years since she embraced her 'witch-hood' to be accepting of the Wizarding world. Since being freed from Vernon, she's also spent a bit of time on her own. She's working for the Ministry and is a competent, sure-of-herself witch. She sees Sirius' flirtatious side, but doesn't let him 'play' her and I think Sirius respects that in her. They've spent a lot more time together than we see in this chapter. They've talked and know a bit about each other. They've formed a good friendship, thus Sirius wouldn't have asked her to help him in Diagon Alley. Now, I don't think this pairing would fly in any other case, but with the time changes in this story it can work. In general, you can never tell who's going to fall for whom. The oddest couples find something special within each other. I think the changes that Petunia has made and Sirius actually surviving and realizing that he needs to work with those around him makes them both more adult and therefore more suited. But of course, you don't have to agree with me. I'm perfectly fine if you hate these two together. They are a bit of a stretch.
Response from joyfulheart (Reviewer)
No, I don't hate them together. I like the idea of them (especially Sirius) finding happiness. I just needed a little more reason for them to be together. I personally enjoy unusual pairings, it makes you aware of commonalities that you may have never noticed before.
yay for sirius and petunia! i think its unexpected and cute. and nay for the cliffie. please dont let harry do anything stupid.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Harry's nickname is 'stupid' at times. Hopefully, this isn't one of those times. Sorry about the cliffie. You'll find out what he does right at the beginning of the next chapter.
excellent storyI love each word
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thank you so much!
Noooooooooo, Not The Pink Toad! Anyways, This was a great Chapter (as usual). The dialouge really made everything fly by and moved the story along nicely. I thought it was hilarious how Severus instigated the "Lovers Quarrel"! I love how you've given him this wonderful personality that people actually get to see! I just can't wait till they're reuintied finally, I mean I really feel for him seriously. I've rocked the long distance relationship before but this is just torture. Having the object of you affections right in front of you but it's not really who you need. Omg, anyways I'm rambling. Bring forth the Toad! (Off with her Head!) Much Love ~ Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
It must be doubly hard, having Hermione right there, but not really right there. *croak!* here comes Umbridge... *croak* *Ahem, ahem...*
great chapter! i think this is even better the second time arround. did i say that before? well, it bears repeating. i love this story and your lovely, talented self. thanks so much (me blowing kisses)
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Lol, yes, you have said it before, but I don't tire of hearing it! Thanks, hon. More to come.
Oh, my, the verbal sparring was hilarious!! Particularly enjoyed the bit about Trelawney. *snerk* Am also glad that Lucius is apparently, as of right now, good. We will see! Wonderful, Deb, and I look forward to more!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Trelawney is so fun to pick on! I just can't help myself. And, yes, Lucius is, as of right now, good. Well, as good as a Death Eater Malfoy can be. Congratulations on your Yule challenge win, btw. Whoot! Go kizzy, go kizzy!
Response from kizzy7 (Reviewer)
~blushes~ Thanks, deb! I was really surprised and honored by the win-- there were so many excellent fics submitted!
It's a bit tricky remembering who you told what story to! :)
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
That's true. It's a good think Severus is so smart and has so much spying experience, or he'd have been dead years ago.
I think my computer is heavier with all that information in it! Fiendishly clever. I love the duelling, the back-story he's come up with for Hermione, and also the parting scene with Severus and Harry. Just in curiosity, will OOTP be in two installments or three? It's only such a long book, I can't think how you'd manange it. Lovely!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
OOTP will still be in two. There's a lot that will not be covered, as we already know it happened. But we'll have lots of fun with "ahem, ahem"... Umbridge. Thanks rhiannon, I'm glad you liked so much of this.
I left you hugs and kisses and I think a amrriage proposal over on Ash so I won't leave it here except to tell all that I bow before your greatness!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thanks! I'm very flattered... again. I appreciate the double kudos.
I can't take the wait anymore lol it's making me crazy lol. great job.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Sorry. The only thing I can say is... we're getting closer. The good thing is they're having a more grown-up relationship. (Yes, I know it's just not the same.)
Oh, I like the cover story for Hermione. It's plausable and perfect. Only won't ol' Voldie think that Severus was the father - they were a couple? I was so glad to see that Lucius remembered and was worried for Hermione. I suppose her trip back did work after all. Whoot!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Ol' Voldie didn't know they were a couple. If he did, then yes, he might think that Hermione was Severus' daughter! (Ow, my head!) Severus was careful not to let Voldie in on the secret of their relationship for both his and Hermione's sake.Lucius definitely remembers Hermione. He'll be happy to see her when she returns. Only time will tell whether she will feel the same happiness. Mwahahaha!
