Variety Challenge first runner up. Hermione Granger is given a Time-Turner and instructions to use it. Only, using a Time-Turner can be a little tricky if not used correctly: a mistake made in counting or a slip of fingers can make the user jump irregularly and thus she could accidentally alter her time line. And when such an accident happens, Severus Snape uses Hermione’s Time-Turner in order to fix a horrific wrong. However, it’s his younger self that becomes the one who must ensure that history is not altered.

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

Exactly, which would explain why he was so determined to have her read about werewolves in PoA, well, one of them! He was pointing it out to her! um, i always thought he wanted to point it to the class as a whole to hopefully get lupin sacked. though then he'd point it out to many classes as well...but if it was just for her what is the point? to have her further not support the marauders back then? because her brush with lupin was short-though i suppose there could be more to come. to cover his back to make sure she knows now so when she goes back that time back then doesnt alter? or do you mean in her present time because he is worried about her since that would be her last time in the past and thus he doesnt know how the events in his present will play out either with lupin or with an escaped black running about.

LOL but oo- i wonder what severus' thoughts will be on her knowing that Lupin is a werewolf and that it was a secret she kept. I was referring to both Hermione's assignmetns (which will come up) as well as the book. Besides, only Hermione did her homework, if I recall. At least Ron and Harry hadn't. Lupin told the class in PoA that they didn't need to, (or that's how I remembered... I may need to check canon again) Certainly Malfoy didn't figure it out yet!
Teen Severus doesn't tell her much about the marauders except to tell her they are cowards, bullies, and fight/pick on him unprovoked. HIs dislike/hatred is very evident to her and she can see why.Professor Snape did and does drop hints (assignments) that he knows she will do and figure it out. That's what I meant. sorry.
I have upcoming chapters with scenes with Hermione and Professor Snape coming up, when she returns to her time. (It was originally to be chap 16 but it's 17 when she goes back) Other than her distrust of Sirius (being innocent is one thing - being a horrible git is another), and how she will see Porfessor Lupin. I'm not changing too much the Harry parts in the PoA, except two - I have to deal with the Shack and the hospital. The same with the other books, and I'll have to bounce through them somewhat since I need to, to get where this story is going and with what I have in mind. Some things, small varances, soome deviations will happen that didn't in the books. These little things will make a difference, but in small ways. One or two that might be considered significent. But my intent isn't to rehash the books so much as show the little things that will change because of the time she spent with Severus. Most that will be outside the knowledge of Harry for the most part, and not really deviate too far from the books, sort of. It's so hard to explain. But Hermione will have a side to her life Harry will not see for a while. Does that make sense without giving away too much? I have planned three significent changes in the DH year because of what has happened. I hope you bear with me on this.

quoting each other, eh? :)okay, i believe i get where the references are suppose to be added with a bit of confusion. but it's okay because i get the main point that some elements will be changed in canon from hermione's side but not enough to veer off the course of canon history. especially since the books are from harry's pov and thus he doesnt know all that there is to hermione's (or really anyone else's) pov.but ooh, excited to get a glimpse of the life span of this fic.once again i really do like and appreciate the slow moving time full of little things that add up.
Poor Hermione. Not only did she have to "touch it", but had to do the heartbreaking task of harvesting the foals organs, then fight off two bullies. She sure had a hard day.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
It's one of those days that in the future she'll have a good laugh over - if not always rememebr with stunned amazement. But, yes, an eventful day. Thank you for reading and the review.
ahhhh, finally some thought to compare the marauders of this time to what she knows of them in her time.Jelly-Brain Jinx - damn does that sound extremely dangerous.but her confronting lupin here about his being a werewolf makes it seem unlikely that she'd use the same words in the future. and how does that bode for when they all curse snape when he comes in. well, i guess this could change the future as we know it.but oo- i wonder what severus' thoughts will be on her knowing that lupin is a werewolf and that it was a secret she kept.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Yes, our clever girl figured it out! Severus did call them the maraurders once.Yep, Jelly-Brin = unable to think, I suppose. lolI don't plan on rehashing the books, but yes, there will be small changes. I intend on some differences, which is what I'll be covering, but things around Harry won't be drastic, well, not too drastic. You'll see. Exactly, which would explain why he was so determined to have her read about werewolves in PoA, well, one of them! He was pointing it out to her! Thank you very much for the review,

.
well there goes the lupin slip. wonder if there ever will be a black or potter slip but it seems she might have that better under control since they are less likely to be brought up in conversation. but we'll see.ohhh cute, i like the time spent between them. i like hoe snape is finding out things about himself when hermione thinks he isnt. i also like how he doesnt want to let her go and is trying to stretch time as much as possible.error: now i am to assume that Renee Lupperger is a boy as the use of masculine pronouns is in effect. however therefore his name should be Rene as the added e is to make the name feminine.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Ever try not talking about things you know? lol It’s hard to do, especially when she’s trying to avoid certain things that might affect his future. But Hermione, although bright, is not cagey. There are a lot of things she’s told him that will have an effect on his future.
I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the time spent together, but alas, it’s about to change. Nope, he’d like having her stay, but can’t and isn’t ready to end things yet. She does have to go back, though.
Oh, thanks for the point! I’ll get to that.
Thank you for the review,

Thank you. and thank you for the pretty stars
I just have to say how much I am enjoying this fic, it just drew me in completely and I had to read it all in one sitting.. of course now I have to wait for new parts *sighs*
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you very much. I'm flattered. I hope to have more out soon. Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
The "peeing incident" was very funny! I am looking forward to seeing how Hermione and Severus' relationship will mature. Great chapter!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you very much. Thank you also for the review and the pretty stars.
Well, that was a heart-stopping nail-biter! So much jam-packed action in one chapter! The humor of Hermione's toilet woes, the poignant sadness of the unicorn encounter, and the action of the fight with the Marauders. More sadness for Severus to see his friend's impending departure again. Oh, the agony, mystery author! When we we see them reunited in their present time, and more specifically when Hermione is of age?Another great chapter. Keep them coming!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
I'm glad that you have enjoyed the romp of this chapter. I did get all that in there, didn't I? hmmm lolYes, she will be home again soon. Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
Oh. man, that was close. I'm so glad they managed to squeak out of it, but when will their luck run out? They've got to stop playing with fire!
I felt so sad during the whole fallen foal situation. How sad! And for the parents to watch the organ donation from their child... I hope they come up with something really awesome to do with the remains.
Thanks again for this wonderful story! Much Love ~ Brena
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Yes, that was a close call. The unicorn scene was sad, but it's good they were there. That's all I can say right now.Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
Omg. What a great update! I love seeing how their relationship keeps developing. Its so sweet how he doesn't want to let her go back! I also loved the back rubs! too bad she's so young! I'm off to read chapter 15! That's probably the only benefit of falling behind, not having to wait for what's next! Much Love ~ Brena
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you. Well, he's grown fond of her and she is a true friend (to a guy who doesn't have many female friendships) Thank you for the review, Brena, and the pretty stars.
This chapter is filled with drama, sadness, and humor. I don't know which made me laugh more; Hermione's having to pee, or Severus trying not to notice Hermione's feminine gifts when his white shirt revealed them. Poor Severus, he really likes spending time with her, and now it's time for her to return to her own time. I wonder if Professor Snape will recall this adventure to the forest and the battle they fought with Potter and Black.
Speaking of Potter and Black, I think it may be hard for Hermione to have to listen to all the good things people (especially Lupin and Dumbledore) tell Harry about his father and his godfather without saying anything... especially if they are criticizing Severus. I believe she will seriously doubt the goodness of Lily, too.
The way you wrote of the death of the Unicorn foal was so well done. I could feel Hermione's sadness, and the mare and stallion sensed it, too, by the way they responded by letting them harvest the organs so that Severus could brew healing potions. If Severus hadn't already realized Hermione's essential goodness before, he would certainly have understood after this incredibly rare gift the mare and stallion had made to them.
The dueling between Severus and "Mulciber" against the three Gryffindors was well written and had a very fast (and believable) pace. Severus handled himself well, and if he hadn't been worried about Hermione he might have given as good as he got. It had to irk him that he had to Obliviate them on the outside chance that someone would have been alerted to the presence of an intruder in the castle. Wouldn't it have been lovely if he could have hexed them into next week?
I hope they will be able to spend a little time together before Hermione goes "home." Severus knows that this will probably be the last time he sees her until years have passed.
I truly do love your story and look forward to each and every update!Beth
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you very much. Both those were fun to write, but I think the pee one made my beta giggle. Oh, he’ll never forget it, I’m sure.
Yes, well, she will see them differently, although, she may not be so vocal; they are his parents, after all.
Oh yes, very rare and it was both of their goodness, his desire for the harvest and why he wanted them that mattered as well.
Thanks. The fighting scene—I just kept typing. My muse was really running fast on that one as well. I had it written in minutes! I’m glad it worked so well.
The Oblivate was necessary, but Potter, Lupin, and Black won’t remember anyway. If they have an idea—they will blame Severus.
Yes, there will be a little more time together.
Thank you so much, Beth. Thank you for the review and the pretty stars. I’m hoping to get another in quickly before the deadline!
Yeah, well, I've never thought Lily was the saint everyone seems to think she is in canon. And no, James and Sirius aren't very nice. Poor Severus, losing his friend to time.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Keep in mind whom we 'see' her though. Remus, so desperate to be liked, and Lily likes him, even though he''s a monster and should be shunned. Lily sees the good in him even when others don't...Sirius, James best mate, a bit of a lad/playboy type maybe, thinks he's hot on two legs ( and in bed ) and woudl see her as fun and witty, firey and if his best mate wasn't in love with the girl - a fair target for his own, possibly?Dumbledore - Like he's going to tell Harry anthing that will distract him from DD's untimate goal. Face Voldemort and kill him or die trying. Not exactly unbiased. And Severus had her on a pedestal. (canon) Wonder who his 'doe' Patronus stands for now? lolThank you for the review and the pretty stars.
I can't help but think this is going to alter Hermione's future interactions with the adult Lupin and Black, which may make Harry and Ron wonder when she goes back to her own time... Also, it would be interesting to see if despite being Obliviated, this incident and Hermione/Mulciber dressing him down about his behavior turns out to be the unconscious catalyst for Lupin to start to change his ways. The unicorn encounter was heartbreaking and very well written. Will the results of their harvesting come into play in a future chapter? Don't say if it will spoil a surprise, but I'll be reading and waiting to find out!Sounds like Hermione will be going home again soon...
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Ya think? Of course!Oh, I only go so deep... Thank you. I almost pulled out the unicorn bit, but I really loved how it came out. So it was bounced, 3x!Yes. That's all I can say.Yes. She's going home.Thank you so much for the review and the pretty stars, indigo.
Wow! It was very close that she'd been discovered. And Severus seems very disapointed that she has to leave him. I am really curious to know how she will interact with Professor Snape once she'll be back in her time.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Yep, this one has a few close calls. Yes, he has grown fond of her, even as just a friend. You'll see quite soon enough. Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
Another tense and heart-pounding chapter. I was on the edge of my seat.I was a bit surprised that Hermione would let slip some of the things she said to Lupin. I know it was the heat of the moment, but she should have known better. It will be very interesting to see how the adult Severus treats her this time when she gets back.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you, that's sweet of you to say.
Hermione is a 14 year old kid and was a bit angry. She's been making slips all along, really.
Oh, you'll find out soon. Thank you for the review.
I wonder how this will affect her in the future. Nice chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Oh, you'll find out soon enough. Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
She has Sirius and James pegged! :)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Pretty much -- yes!
Well, that was practically a disaster. But I really enjoyed the encouter with the unicorns. Well, it was sad, but touching in a good way.
She has every right to dislike all of those Marauders. They're not the heroes Harry thinks they are.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Yep, they were rather lucky. I'm glad that you enjoyed the encounter with the unicorns. Yes, Hermione's opinion has been altered somewhat now. Thank you very much for the review and the pretty stars.
Oh dear. Hermione is letting to many facts about the future slip out. At least now we know where she learned all those jinxes and other spells. I just hope his keeping her ther a bit longer doesn't have any consequenses.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
lol One can only speculate! Well, I know, because I've written it out, but I will hopfully be sharing it soon. Thank you very much for the review and the pretty stars.
I enjoy this story so much...I know you are trying to imply that Hermione learned everything she knew from Snape--but she has demonstrated ability to learn spells from books, such as ocular reparo.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
LOL Hermione does learn a lot from books, but in this story, she's also learns a lot from Severus, both his adult and teen. There is a reson for what he's teaching her, and besides, otherwise seh'd get bored being cooped up all the time. Thank you for the review.
Do now he is thinking how best to invent a potion he has created - no, will create - and Hermione has already used on him to heal ... I love Time Travel stories :-)Oh, she let slip too much. I wonder how it is going to change her future, or even her past. Will there probably be no Professor Lupin whe she returns?Again, I like how easy they are with each other. Well done.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you very much. Yep, that liniment made the time paradox loop! Yes, she let a bit slipped, but Professor Snape was suspecious of Professor Lupin anyay. lolThank you for the compliments, review, and stars to boot!
Showing her relief when he entered the classroom really was sweet. Too bad nobody else seemed to have shown their concern for Snape.I'm glad I have another chapter to read this evening :-)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Thank you. Well, once he was found, safe, and in hospital, guys just went back to doing guys stuff. I'm sure his friends cared. But yes, it's dif when a girl gets all emotional over you! Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
I'm so glad he's helping her with DADA. They do work well together. It's so sweet the way they look out for the other. I also like that you show how gifted Severus is at Potions. His back pain balm ~how I'd love to have some myself at times, lol~ and acne potion tweeks are spot on with what he's doing with his life and eventually bring him to Voldemort's attention. Good thinking to build on it in your story. Loved this chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Yes, he's teachng her in order to get what he wants. I'd love some of that liniment myself! and yes, it's his abilities that impres Voldie! Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
Thank goodness Hermione has to stay hidden or there would be no more Mauraders. Too think that some of Severus' potion idea actually came from Hermione herself. Another good chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
LOl Yes, our girl can really pack a punch when she's riled up! Actually, Professor Snape, who told Hermione in class, who told Severus Snape in the dungeons. Or something she read... Yep, she'd contaminating the field of Potions for good! Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
I wonder if young Severus will think that Hermione is worried about her safety because Lupin is her teacher? I ope he doesn't do something reckless because of that assumption.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of Consequences of Meddling with Time)
Hmm, but what can he do about it as a teen? And Professor Snape is already watchful of Lupin in PoA. However, you'll have to wait until Hermione goes back to her time to find out the consequences. Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
