Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.
Reviews for Polyandry and Other Problems
Oh, Severus' reaction toward Lucius are getting stronger. He is really jealous. But all I can see is this truning into a SS/HG/LM three-somes story. I don't see Severus allowing a LM/HG night two times a week happening? Or Hermione bouncing between wizards. Hmmm I'm so glad that both got to see her walk all over Fudge, ALthough Lucius' reactions to the memories was amusing!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
History really isn't on Severus's side - that can't be helping matters.SS/HG/LM is eventually the goal, but that rather depends on the plot bunny not scuppering it with a few too many obstacles.Indeed Severus would not allow that - and Hermione wouldn't want to do it either.Glad you liked Lucius's reaction! Thanks for reviewing.
This was by for the most enjoyable FUdge walking I have ever read! Even better - Fudge is stuck having sex with Umbridge! You married Fudge to Umbridge! Oh, gotta love that! No wonder he's a sour puss.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! It was fun to write, too. Poor Fudge! I'm delighted that you liked that bit. Thanks for reviewing!
Response from beaweasley2 (Reviewer)
Oh, gods! It just hit me! Unbridge a mom! Noooooooooooo!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It is a very scary thought. I just hope the plot bunny responsible will be merciful and it'll turn out that she and Fudge are past it! Poor kid, otherwise!
Lucius - demanning. LOL right. It still works only it doesn't spit out viable seeds. I'm crossing my fingers for Sverus though.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Quite! Lucius's pride shouldn't be too damaged.I'm sure Hermione was too. Thanks for reviewing!
Yeah! Trust Severus to find a way to stick it to them! But that doesn't help Ginny. Or any of the other broodmares?Hmmm.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Indeed not. Unfortunately the powers that be would definitely notice something if everyone turned out to be sterile. That and most wizards and witches will want to start families, if only to follow tradition. Thanks for reviewing!
Oh, how sad. Infertile - or worse, miscarriages. Poor girl. Will the problems never end?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Poor Hermione indeed. If they are lucky, they will by the end of the story. I'm really not terribly nice to these poor characters, am I?Thanks for reviewing!
Enjoyed the sufring trough the records - adn you portraid the feeling of 'trapped' very well. I'd be livid too. So Hermione is pregers! Whoot! One down - no wait - girl or boy?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I did my best to get the feeling right. My lips are sealed! Thanks for reviewing.
It was only a matter of time! Is that 2 girls per witch - or 2 girls per husband? Gads, if Ginny follows the Weasley tradition - she and Harry will have 14 kids!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Two girls per witch. It could be worse! Like 14 kids... I'm fairly sure Ginny will want to break that tradition! Thanks for reviewing.
Matchmaker Hermione! Not. Well, we'll see how this all goes! At least Ginny is keeping an open mind.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Heh! Hermione's really not matchmaker material. Definitely good that Ginny's doing that. Thanks for reviewing!
Bad idea to trust Lucius in the first place. Hope Severus will see the ruse, forgive his wife and hex Lucius' nads off. Tricksy needs to spend time in the dungeons. Heh,heh, heh.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Very bad idea! Hopefully he will, although I suspect Lucius might object with the last two! Thanks for reviewing!
I'm glad that Severus was able to help Hermione sort out her thoughts, and that she was livid that he had. The eavesdropping on her and Draco was uncouth, but Severus' reaction was. I was probably as touched as Lucius by their thoughtful gift.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Heh! If Lucius stopped to consider that, he might change his voyeuristic habits... Severus definitely values his (and Hermione's) privacy.Glad you liked the gift! Thanks for reviewing.
Her wanting a shower is so typical of rape victims - although what happened wasn't rape. To scrub herself raw... Lucius' avary is terrific. But why shuch a strong reaction to Fawkes?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Not rape, no, but she definitely didn't want it.Thank you! It was quite fun to come up with. The next chapter should answer why she had such a strong reaction to Fawkes. Let me know if you still have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thanks for reviewing!
OMG !! So much happened in this chapter. But I just can't believe Severus diesn't trust her more than that. I know he has a heavy past but still. I would feel betrayed at ther place and maybe turned to Lucius.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
There was a lot to pack in to this chapter! He should trust her more, yes, but seeing her apparently kissing Lucius was too much for his self control.Perhaps if Lucius hadn't caused the betrayal, she might have turned to him. Thanks for reviewing!
LOL Viktor challenging for a duel! I'm rahter glad that he backed down. So if both Hermione's and Severus' signatures trun silver, is gold for a virgin?
Response from beaweasley2 (Reviewer)
And that elf - Tricksy? What the - Hermione should be really careful of that creature! Her hatred of Hermione. Thst doesn't bode well at all! No wonder Crooks wanted to attack the lf. She should have let him!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Just as well for Viktor that he did!Yes, gold is for a virgin.Tricksy is definitely up to no good. The problem with letting Crooks pounce is that she hasn't done anything. Yet.Thanks for reviewing!
wooo! go mione go! ~accidentally sets her dog after tricksy....accidentally~
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Hee! Glad you liked Hermione unleashed....I pity the dog. Tricksy is vicious! Thanks for reviewing!
hmm, I wonder if Tricksy somehow caused Hermione's problems -- or even Cissa, perhaps cursing the next Mrs Malfoy. I am very glad Hermione realized it was Lucius causing problems, and hope Severus will listen. they could even use Lucius' Pensieve to view the memory -- and oops, discover Lucius' "library" of memories! what a git the blond is.... bad Lucius! thank you for the new chapter!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Interesting ideas! Both are innocent in this case, as Hermione inherited the problems from her mother.Hopefully Severus will...Heh! That would work if Lucius hadn't warded his library of memories so that only he can access them. Very bad Lucius! Thanks for reviewing!
Oh good lord! Is there no bounds to how low the Ministry will go? I fully thought that Severus and Hermione had... well Oh.So, just get upsatirs and get it over with!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
I'm sure that there's some lines this Ministry won't cross, if only because it has Kingsley in charge.Indeed they should!
Quite an interesting wedding. The use of the Blood-quill was disgusting, but I can see the symbolism in it. Yuck, though.I was amused by the guys reaction to the kisses, Lucius' reaction mostly, although Severus' was to be expected. Boy, Severus is going to have kittens over the consumations part!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! Glad to hear it.I'm sure Hermione would agree with you about the blood quill. Come to that, I would too - I'm squeamish! He's certainly not going to be happy about Lucius's...
Hermione's ending up on the roof was great! I loved Severus' reaction and his concern for her, even though he berated her fro her foolishness. Man I didn't begrudge him being the brunt of a mum's ideal wedding even if it was only a justice of the peace. Lucius' impressions on the room and ceremony was fabulous. I was amased that he felt a twinge of jealousy so soon though. He's not shown any caring toward Hermione at all except in what marrying her will do for him and his standing. I hope Hermione has common sence and keeps her marriage to Lucius jsut as small and civil.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It was irresistable! No actual caring, but he has registered that she's pretty. It's a start.I'm sure that's what Hermione would prefer.Thank you for reviewing!
Oh my goodness... he HAS to listen to her... or use Legillimency... in fact, thats probably a better idea... then hex old Lucius in the nads! That would be Fun!!!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Hopefully he'll listen or be persuaded to use Legilimency!Lucius would certainly deserve it.Thanks for reviewing!
So Severus helped Will and Helen come to terms with what happened because of the war. I would have loved to read the 'dinner conversations' but the snippets you gave really made the events come out well. LOLSeverus' tender moment was sweet, but Harry's interuption was great! I especially loved Lucius' reaction to the telephone! That was brilliant! I love the banter between Severus and Lucius.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm glad the snippets worked.Couldn't resist Harry interruptus! Or Lucius encountering a telephone for the first time... glad you liked those bits!
I think they need to be rid of Lucius soon.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Unless he turns over a new leaf and means it...Thanks for reviewing!
I could really applaud Draco for his speach to his dad. Too bad it fell on such cold ears. Lucius is a right prick in this story. HIs actions alone would make me reconsider the arrangement. Even one night with him seems distateful. It is very interesting, Hermione's reaction to the house. I have a hundred questions about that, but I'll read on and hope you answer them. Loveing this story btw!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Draco does really seem to have turned over a new leaf. There's certainly room for improvement with Lucius, but to be fair he's changed a little too.At the moment there are two theories to explain Hermione's reaction: either Hermione's spell under the Cruciatus left her sensitive to places with Dark atmospheres, or that sensitivity is a lingering side effect of the plague.Thank you, I'm delighted to hear it!
This so unfair to Lucius (can't believe I'm saying this..) why should he stay in a sexless marriage!! It's just not right ! Surely, Hermione knows how unfair it is she does nonthing for Lucius. It's almost like he not there. The two of them Severus and Hermione are a bunch of users. I think Lucius should threaten to leave and let the consequences visit those selfish iggiots! I love your story as a result I really feel badly for Lucius.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
I seem to have made Lucius a little too sympathetic if my story has made you feel so badly for him!He knew what he was getting into. There's not really any fair way to do it, as for Hermione to allow Lucius into her bed would not be fair to either her or Severus. Lucius would be using her if she did - he doesn't love her, just lusts after her at present. As for leaving, that would damage his reputation, which is the reason he wanted to marry Hermione in the first place. That and I don't think he'd really want to leave Malfoy Manor to them! Thanks for reviewing, I'm glad that you like the story so much. I hope you enjoy the rest of it.
Oh as if Ron had a chance against Lucius! Insolent whelp. Did he call for the duel or did Lucius? Either way, the prat hadn't a chance in a 'lush garden hell.'Hermione's reaction was brilliant, and so like her. Lucius' demeanor needs a serious adjustment if he thinks he's going to woo her at all. His faux pas only shows how little he regards her. and his trapping her in his estate was cold.
Oh, boy, and now you've added Draco into this mess! LOL Okay, this is going to be good - or get really ugly.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Poor Ron didn't stand a chance... and Lucius challenged Ron, who then used his influence with the Ministry as Harry's sidekick to get the 'best' spot for the duel.Lucius definitely does need to adjust...Thank you!
Oh, Ron is such a prat. She's just woken up and he comes skidding in with ring in hand? well almost in hand, the fumbling with the ring was hilarious!Interesting how you added the two-wizard to every witch senario. and that witches cannot marry Muggles, only wizards. That will sit right with all the witches that wake up. But why did Hermione lose so much of her memory? Surely she wasn't in this coma for six months, since she'd fromed a friendship with Severus. Why did her memory loss go so far back? It's a shame really.I hope that she recalls some of the missing months. Is Crooks going to be all right in this? Was it Severu that was 'terrorizing the house-elf?'
I really hope Lucius isn't all that serious about dueling for Hermione. With her reputation, she's going to be primeAwitch for the desperate wizards! Surely, she will know that!
sorry. good story!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I just couldn't resist having Ron fumble. As mentioned in Chapter 1, Hermione's memory loss is a side effect of the cure. She fell ill about six months after Voldy's death (so became friendly with Severus in those months), and was ill for about the same length of time. During most of that, she was kept in a magically induced coma to buy time for the cure to be developed. The length of memory loss was determined by how long she was ill for, resulting in almost a year's memories being lost. Hope that makes sense!Yes, it was Severus, although the 'terrorising' would probably have been limited to 'fetch your Master and no you can't take my cloak'.Hopefully two ex-Death Eaters' reputation will be enough to scare off most wizards...Thank you for reviewing!
