Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.
Reviews for Polyandry and Other Problems
Oh, so sad. very interesting and different kind of story!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm glad you're finding it interesting, and different is what I was aiming for!
How sad!!! I know it's going to get worse, but please tell me that it will get better soon!!! Very intense chapter, great work!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It will get worse, but it will get better by the end of the story. Honest!Thank you very much!
How sad. I'm very interested in this plague though. Is it a natural occurring phenomena, or is it man made in some way? Have you ever read The White Plague? I'm wondering if that story is influencing this one?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you, I'm glad it's interesting. Good question!I've heard that there are some similarities, which is why I'm leaving reading that book until I've finished this one - I don't want to risk influencing this!
What a phenomenal twist to this story. I have no clue what can be done for the plague, which I love because that means you've written a great plot. Thanks for the update.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you very much! I'm delighted to hear that you think so. Thanks for reviewing!
Greeeeat as if the other stuff goin' on wasn't enough! I liked that Hermione didn't really connect the clues together all that well. I kinda thought she was sick with the plague again when she started feeling off. ^^; But I'm good at predicting stuff anyways. Thanks for the chapter, lookin' forward to more! =)
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Unfortunately for Hermione, she couldn't remember what it felt like to fall ill with the plague.I was afraid the details of the plague's symptoms would be buried too far back for readers to remember. I'm impressed!
You are giving me angst, ayerf. I love it!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you, I'm glad to hear it!The plot bunny has more angst in store, I fear.
oh no. after all she's been thru. i can't wait for the next chapter. this is really getting even more intense. thanks so much
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Poor Hermione...Next chapter coming very soon. Thanks for reviewing.
You're evil. How could you do that to her, to him, to them??? After what she's been through, her infertility, the imprisonment Severus, and now she has to be ill again and on the verge on death. Really that is not kind of you. I fully expect a sappy ending. *stomp foot and sulk*
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Indeed I am! Although I reckon the plot bunny responsible for this story is eviller.I don't know about a sappy ending, but... I do have a soft spot for happy endings. Thanks for reviewing.
Eeep! O_O
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Indeed... that's just the sort of reaction I hoped this chapter would get!
Perhaps seeing Hermione in mortal danger will change Lucius's behaviour for the better. :)
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Perhaps it will! It certainly should give him something to think about. Thanks for reviewing.
Whew, that's heavy duty stuff. Both Hermione falling ill and Lucius' desire for her. Severus and Hermione's feelings for him would have to change drastically for him to be accepted into their bed. Is that really all he's interested in? Time will tell, hmmm? Enjoyed the unexpected turns in the chapter, well done.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
They would! Time will tell indeed. Thank you! I'm glad to hear that. Thanks for reviewing.
You have managed to set up a rather nasty scenario here, dear author. In real life, almost all of the pregnant witches would survive the pregnancy, only to succumb to the plague within a year of delivery. And the temporary 'cure' would not work for them a second time because pregnancy would have allowed it to mutate further.I am hoping that the second onset of the plague will restore Hermione's memories and allow her to focus on developing a permanent solution to the plague. Can you tell that I am getting overly invested here?It looks like Lucius is about to finally find something bigger than himself and his idle boredom to focus on. Which is good.Looking forward to more soon. Happy writing.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
I blame the plot bunny for that nasty scenario. Nothing (much) to do with me. Honest.Hermione might regain her memories except for one snag: she's just had more of the now-temporary cure that caused her memory loss...I'm delighted that you're invested!More coming very soon!Thank you for reviewing!
OMG!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you, that's the sort of reaction I was hoping for!
Oh my. This is one scary story.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! Scary seems to be this plot bunny's speciality.
OMG WOW!! I've been following your story for a while and I love how you weave it together!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm delighted to hear it. I hope the rest of will be woven together just as well.
Oh wow the plague is backand mutated. And if the witches have to wait until the third symptom are they going to loose their babies? Frightning. I really hope Hermione doens't lose her memory again. And that Severus finds a cure - a real cure.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Very frightening.Unfortunately she's just been given the cure that caused the loss in the first place...Hopefully he will!
Oh my, oh my. This complicates things considerably. Will another dose of the cure wipe away Hermione's memories of their love and marriage? As horrible as some of the recent incidents have been, I'm sure she would not want to lose the many good ones that have also accumulated.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Indeed it does! The cure will wipe some of her memory. But it does depend on how long she's been ill for...Thanks for reviewing!
Good God, what a horrifying development! Even though every fertile witch in wizarding Britain is now pregnant, a second round with a more virulent plague is likely to cause a flood of miscarriages. Thank goodness Severus had some of the "cure" left to dose Hermione and hopefully protect the Weasley wives, but how many more might die while Severus busts tail to produce more? So the nightmare continues...
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Very much so.Nightmare is a very, very good way to put it.Thank you for reviewing!
Well, you certainly haven't killed Hermione, but you are giving her a great many life-threatening experiences...;-)Makes the story great, always on the edge of one's seat. Just when you thought it might be smooth sailing for a bit, the plague returns quicker and deadlier. Looks like Severus is going to have to set aside the memory-restorer potion and find a cure for the plague instead. And I find your logic for omnioscopes sound =)Looking forward to the next chapter.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
I do try to make her life, er, interesting. Poor thing. That he is!Thank you! Next chapter coming very soon.
oh! lucius does have a use! ~sends her gremlin in to happily destroy the penseive porn...and blames it on a well-placed white peacock~hermione will be just fine!right?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
That gremlin might have difficulty accessing that nasty cache to destroy it... unless he can somehow fool the wards?Eventually she will be. Maybe. Thanks for reviewing!
Wow, I certainly hadn't expected that! But still a great chapter. More soon, please??
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I do aim to surprise.More coming very soon - it took me longer than I'd intended.
Wow, will all the women die? Frightening thought.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Unless Severus can adapt the cure, yes, they will. Thanks for reviewing!
Aha, knew Snape's emotions were going to overload sometime. Too bad that it almost came at the cost of Hermione's life. I'm glad that one of the elves was good enough to get Snape to come back so he could save Hermione, despite the fact that Fawkes might not have been able to help and then there'd be no more story...:_(Looking forward to the next chapter.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Just as well there was a good elf and Fawkes to save the day...It would have been a rather abrupt end to the story if Hermione had died...Next chapter coming very soon!
Evil Evil houself, manipulating the wards and then poisoning Hermione. I hope that something happens, Snape has a change of heart or something, don't want Hermione to die.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Very evil!Mwaha... Would I kill Hermione?Thank you for reviewing!
Looks like Snape found his breaking point. Interesting ultimatium, wonder whether he'll actually listen to Hermione at all if she shows up. Glad that Hermione hit/hexed Lucius, he deserved it.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Indeed he did! His temper is his worst enemy. Hopefully he would listen if he calmed down enough...Lucius definitely deserved it!Thanks for reviewing.
