Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

great chapter! can't wait for another!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! Next chapter coming soon!
Noooooooo! She can't die, not now! Please! And to think I'll have to wait for a month to know if she survives or not. VERY VERY BAD AUTHOR!!!!!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Well, she can die if nothing changes... and if the plot bunny succeeds in tempting me with a rocks fall and everyone dies ending. That said, I am a sucker for happy endings.Yup, that's me! Very bad. Thanks for reviewing!
I was left thinking that poor Severus could use a break about now...I know that you always update a quickly as possible, so I'll keep my begging short. As always, I wish you happy writing.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
That he could!Thank you! Next chapter is coming very soon.
Oh pleasepleasepleaseplease let Severus cure work. I dont want any more bad news. I had tears in my eyes when the Granger's said they were taking a leave of absence. So much uncertainy. I think I will make you a crown. I will say "Queen of suffering" If I add sequences and sparkles will you wear it?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
We'll see if it works in the next chapter...Thank you! I'm glad the chapter touched you that much, and I'd be honoured to wear that crown!
That was so cool! I loved the arthimancy part of the chapter and Hermione's self talk, Vector's rules to be followed, why we dont recycle parchment. All excellent world building! Bravo
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! Glad the arithmancy bits worked for you, I hoped it would! Thanks for reviewing!
Crossing my fingers the curse doesn't mutate again!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
With any luck the plague will behave itself, not that the poor character's seem to have much good luck...Thanks for reviewing!
Oh Oh! Is it really just stress for Severus or is the virus mutating to attack wizards and preventing them from procreating? Will it be the demise of the wizarding population?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
...It's really just stress, yes.Although it is a very interesting and evil idea... Still, it's probably already bad enough that the plague kills witches without making wizards impotent as well! Thanks for reviewing!
Poor Severus, but who is caring for Lucius? :)
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Poor things indeed. Hopefully the manor elves are taking care of Lucius, or he's consoling himself with his beloved birds. Thanks for reviewing!
Too much stress for Severus. Poor things. I still just want to hug them.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Very much so! Glad it does make you want to hug them, thanks for reviewing.
very painful...the hope and the uncertainty. wonderful update. thanks and smoochies
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I hope that's a good sort of pain, then. Thanks for reviewing!
A ghost like plauge that is ever changing. Good grief they have a huge job in front of them to cure this beast. I hope the portrait will help. Im trying to think of ways to avoid a ML assuming they can end the plague. Cannot come up with a thing. Good thing you are writing this and not me!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
That they do! I imagine they'll cross the ML bridge when they come to it...Sorry for my rather late reply!
i would be very interested to meet lucius' ancestor the famous arithmancier. do we get to? great update. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Glad to hear you're interested in that! It is covered in ch32, which was posted a couple of months ago - sorry that my reply to this was late!
Dolores was possibly a Brennan, too funny! It would seem to me that HG & SS might realize [or even LM] that if the Dark Lord had the knowledge to kill off Muggleborn girls, that he would not have hesitated to utilize this 'disease' while he was still alive. Since DU is such an advocate of Voldemort's doctrines and obviously not afflicted by the disease, I would look there, eh?The observations HG made upon seeing the samples in the microscope were interesting. "It was shaped more like some sort of virus, but ghostly, as if it was some sort of illusion." Sounds like it is a magically created or altered malady. Your Lucius cracks me up! He seems to just naturally avoid anything that might help build character. But then, he has quite enough character as it is!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Glad that bit was funny! While true that Umbridge did have a hand in killing off those Muggle-born girls, this 'disease' kills all witches regardless of blood purity, so Umbridge is off the hook in that respect. It certainly only affects magical people, so, yes, it definitely has roots in some sort of magic source...Thank you! I'm glad you like this Lucius. He's fun to write too.Sorry for the late reply!
I hope to see an interesting scene between Lucuis's ancestor-portrait, the Arithmancer, and Muggle-born Hermione. Your story is imaginatve and still holding my (usually Malfoy-hating) interest. Best of Luck in your studies. My daughter is in her final semester, slaving over her senior project and preparing for her (music major) recital as well. So as a mom I say, "school first! We'll wait."
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you, I hope it continues to hold your interest! Thanks, I appreciate your support and patience! Sorry for the rather late reply.
Like Hermione I'm praying the Gods that everything will turn out good for the Wizarding world. And she can experience pregnancy even if it's just once.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Hopefully it will be... Maybe at some point in the future. Provided she survives. Ahem, not that I'd kill her, of course. Thanks for reviewing! Sorry for the late reply.
What a nasty bug Severus is trying to deal with. I loved how the chapter started and I also enjoyed Lucius's suggestions. His acceptance of muggle borns will be quite interesting to watch.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Very nasty! Thank you! I'm glad to hear it. If anything else, it should help to make Lucius feel useful.
Thank you for the new chapter! I hope real life settles down for you a little at uni.I enjoyed seeing Lucius visit his beloved aviary again. Hair loss was a forbidden topic under his roof — ROFL!! Still, Lucius still needs to get rid of his Pensive porn before Hermione finds it first. Slughorn's pig Patronus — very fitting! I wonder if Severus can get Umbridge to "donate" blood samples; I can't imagine Fudge marrying a man, and Umbridge must know how she is able to keep immune. Thanks again for updating, and I'll be waiting for whenever you can post next.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks! It has settled down a little, although there's still research to be done during the summer.Poor Lucius. He really does need to get rid of it, but he thinks he needs it too much...Glad the pig fits him! Unless magic can do wonders when it comes to sex changes... but doesn't fool the plague? Good question!Thank you! Sorry for the late reply, I'll try to get back into my habit of replying before posting the next chapter.
I like the Arithmancy experts all being witches. :)
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm glad to hear it.Sorry for the late reply!
So much going on. Those poor people.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Indeed! I'm so cruel to them. Er, I mean, the plague is.
This is a smart and interesting story. I, for one, am willing to be patient with the wait in between chapters. Just so long as it isn't abandoned altogether. I am always excited to see a new one come up. Good luck with your schooling!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm very glad to hear it. It certainly won't be abandoned if I can help it!Sorry for the late reply!
Oh this new development will certainly crimp all the pure-blood elitists! All wizards will have to marry a Muggle-born! Interesting. Hopefully Severus will find a cure. I'm beginning to doubt it. Unicorn blood perhaps? freely given?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It certainly will! Eventually there should be at least some half-blood witches around, but that would mean waiting a long time!Hopefully he will! That's an interesting idea, although unicorn blood could only buy time as it only stops people from dying, and doesn't heal them, as far as I can tell in the Potterverse.Thank you, and sorry for the late reply!
This story is so riveting and compelling. Hermione's banter with Lucius makes a nice counterpoint to the nail-biting suspense.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm very glad to hear it. I hoped the banter would work like that.Sorry for the late reply!
Ah, well at least Hermione's relatively safe if she does the Arithmancy in private, but she's still vulnerable to the plague.Interesting revelation that the magic is trying to correct the problem, but being overridden. Looking forward to seeing how it is all resolved!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Relatively safe until Severus gets his hands on her, anyway.Thank you! I hoped it would be an interesting detail, and that the resolution will be worth it.
It is quite a complex web you are weaving here. I will be very interested in how you resolve this plot.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I hope the ending will be interesting.Sorry for the delay in replying to your comment!
Glad to see this one's back. How many more bouts of the plague before the story ends?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Glad to have some more to post! Sorry for the delay in my reply. One more, or so Severus hopes.
