Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

I really hope she and Severus will find a cure for all these women and their babies. Also I don't really understand why the Ministry would hide such informations regarding Muggle born babies? Did they have anything to do with it? Like an experimentation or curse turned wrong?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Hopefully they will!It certainly seems like they might have something to hide, although it might just be that they managed to forget about them. I'm not sure which is worse! Thanks for reviewing!
I love the ending to this chapter. so, just how many times has hermione's mum inadvertently gone somewhere she didn't mean to go?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I hoped it would be a likeable ending.Good question! The implication is that it's happened before, but it's something only they know for sure.
You've managed to write one of the CDC's worst nightmares here. I can only sit back and watch and wait at this point.*looks at cue for update*
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thanks for reviewing! Doubtless it's also the worst nightmare of most wizards and witches...Sorry to keep you waiting - next chapter will be posted by Monday.
Thanks for updating. Wow, things are more complicated than ever, with Muggle-born infants dying from the plague, but the cause being called "crib death". I have no doubt you, intrepid author, Ayerf, will bring this terrible social, medical malady to a satisfying conclusion... at some point. LOLGreat chapter.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! There's always another complication around the corner...I hope the eventual end to this satisfies you... I just wish 'some point' could be sooner rather than later. Oh well - better late than never!
uh...hi mom! wanted to come to school, too huh? that's neat...um...you should go back now...like...right away...lolgreat chapter!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
She'll probably need a hand from Hermione to do so!Thank you!
Wonder what her mom thought of that made her tag along?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Nothing besides the need to hold on to her only daughter, as far as I know! Thanks for reviewing!
Wow! Her parents have scientific minds due to their being dentists, and I'm so glad she visited them to hear their suspicions about deaths of newborn Muggleborn girls. It was understandable that Mrs Granger would hold on to her only child after that news, and not realize they'd both be Apparated. Still, it's good that Hermione can do side-along after being ill and almost dying.I wonder if Fudge is preventing access to St Mungo's records because he is trying to hide his own responsibility for the plague, whether intentional or accidental. He seems too slippery to be trusted. Thank you for the new chapter!!!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It's definitely something she needed to know! Glad Mrs Granger clinging on made sense - just as well for both of them that Hermione didn't Splinch!Fudge is definitely too slippery for his own good... we shall see what, if anything, he's responsible for. Thanks for reviewing! Next chapter will be posted by Monday.
Maybe Mom can help with finding a solution? Wouldn't that be great? This was a great chapter, I'm looking forward to more!!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It would be! Unfortunately there's probably a limit to what she and Dad can do to help with a magical thing.Thank you! More (finally) coming soon.
That's taking clinging to your kids a little far! :)
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Hee! Just a little too far...Thank you!
What a horrible outlook for the wizarding world--and for each of the hundreds or so (I hope) women still living there.Despite that, the chapter was an enjoyable read with lots of details enriching the storyline. I love your extraordinary idea, spiked with the very in-character people (Lucius, well, is improving more than I'd think him capable of, but anyway).
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It's definitely a terrible situation!I'm delighted to hear that it was still enjoyable to read, and that you think people are in character. Thank you very much!
Wow! It's been a few days since I've been able to get back to this story and JEEZOPETE! Incredible excitement and drama early on a Monday morning. I think this is doing more to wake me up than a pot of coffee. Outstanding! Can't wait to find out what comes next. Thanks!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you very much! I'm delighted the excitement and drama has that effect on you!Next chapter coming soon, once my betas have finished with it!
Eek! Things are going from bad to worse!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
That's one way to put it!Thanks for reviewing!
Hmmm. The plague could be mutating *IN* the baby's blood . . . especially if the child's a boy, right?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It doesn't affect males at all - hope that clears that up!But it is possible that it can mutate in baby girl's blood... provided they survive. Thanks for reviewing!
This is so unfair. I really hope Severus will be able to find a permanent cure for the wizarding world's sake.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Very much so... Hopefully he will be able to!Thanks for reviewing!
Wow. I'm relieved that this mutation news has drawn Draco closer to Ginny and Harry and even Lucius. Perhaps Draco can help Severus make more of the cure, since he was a good Potions student. Perhaps THIS will make Lucius throw out his naughty Pensieve memories of Severus and Hermione! Thanks for the new chapter.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
That it can draw people closer is just about the only silver lining, I guess! That's certainly a possibility... if Draco can bear to be apart from Ginny.Heh! I have my doubts, this is Lucius! Maybe once he's developed more of a conscience. Thanks for reviewing!
Response from June W (Reviewer)
erm.... any idea when the next chapter might appear?
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Posted about ten minutes ago! Sorry for the delay, it was another difficult chapter to write.
Response from June W (Reviewer)
this seems like a difficult STORY to write! (off to read new chapter...)
It's good that Lucius was the one to bring the cure to Ginny, maybe it will start to pave the way for healing between him and Draco. Poor Severus! The guilt and heartbreak he must be feeling over Hermione relapse. First the poisoning and now this. So much on his shoulders. At least he will have help making more of the cure. Great update! :D
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Hopefully it will!Poor Severus indeed. He could certainly use some help! Thanks for reviewing!
my gremlins, they are born of wild magic, which is far more powerful than silly human harnessed stuff...its like comparing a rocking horse to a racehorse of the highest pedigree...an INSULT lol~throttles lucius and smacks the back of his head before frowning and gasping~ OMG! Luci! You has a bald spot! quick! see if you can see it! ~watches him spin around and around trying to find it and giggles~no worries dearling. you see... i know this guy in the hamptons...his name is Hank! lol!
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Ahh, I see. Poor Lucius... he might manage to redeem himself in the end! Thanks for reviewing!
What a horrific twist! Just enough time for everyone to believe the plague nightmare was finally over, only for the disease to morph into something more virulent and darker that will end up taking the lives of so many unborn babies. And probably some of the mothers as well. Hermione so needs to quickly get through this... she was positively gifted at Arithmancy, her favorite subject, hopefully she can provide Severus the assistance he needs to put a stop to all the suffering, once and for all.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It's quite possibly the worst twist I have in store for my poor readers - and for the poor characters.Hopefully she can help... Severus certainly needs it!Thanks for reviewing!
This story is great fun! I like the twists and turns. Thanks for sharing it.*Happily skips off to next chapter.*
Response from pookah (Reviewer)
Lest I sound heartless here, my Real Life has take such a turn this summer, with the loss of 2 very close freinds, that I spend all my tears on the truly dead and use fiction as an escape from a very bad summer.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I'm delighted to hear it, those twists and turns are fun to come up with. Not heartless at all. I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, and glad that you can find some escape in fiction.
Wow. This wasa grim chapter.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you, that was my intention - it was a struggle to write.
I don't know if I said this in an earlier review, but one thing I expected to happen in DH was that it would be revealed that Ffawkes was now Snape's pet/familiar. Since Snape (I was certain) would turn out (in book 7) to be the most loyal to DUmbledore of them all. Glad to see Fawkes is back in your tale. Now I wonder, will Pheonix tears cure Hermione's type of steritlity? So LM is actually sorry...for now. Will he get rid of his nasty little collection, though? I think Hermione's willingness to put it behind her is very commendable.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
That's one thing I wished had happened too! I couldn't resist fulfilling that wish in this story. Glad you like it!Good question... but unfortunately not, I fear.Heh! I have my doubts. It'd probably take a personality transplant for Lucius to scrap his Pensieve!porn collection. Hermione certainly has a big capacity for forgiveness, luckily for Lucius and Severus. Thanks for reviewing!
Interesting details. I like a story with well thought out magical details. Thanks for sharing this.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! Glad you like those details and find them interesting.
wow we have to wonder how Tricksey managed to do that. Dobby was able to do something his master would not like (telling Harry Potter not to go to school), so Tricksey may be able to as well. I don't imagine that if LM had told her directly, "Do not harm Hermione," that she would have done this, but LM never knew he needed to say it.Fun chapter, thanks.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It does seem from canon that elves can do such things, yes. There's Dobby... and there's Kreacher and the way Tom Riddle managed to frame an elf for murder.Pity Lucius didn't think to say that!Thank you!
I wondered if the sperm and egg donors idea would ever come up. You forestalled it cleverly.Sorry to see Severus acting such a jealous fool. trust really is everthing in a marriage. As I am fond of telling my daughter: Don't believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
Thank you! I hoped it would make sense that magic changes things, and sometimes in not-so-good ways. That's one saying Severus definitely needs to hear!
Oh, no. This is horrible. Those poor witches.
Response from ayerf (Author of Polyandry and Other Problems)
It is a terrible situation. Poor witches indeed...Thanks for reviewing!
