I have completed my Master's of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and want to focus on serving the LGBTQIA community and the Alt/Kink/Poly communities in my work. I used to be a poker tournament director and floorperson at the world famous Binion's Gambling Hall in downtown Las Vegas. Before that, I was high school Spanish and Theatre teacher. I am happily married and (thankfully) have NO kids. I have an original short story published here: http://www.elm-books.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=R01%2DChristmasBadGirls under my penname, Jess Alynn. Thanks for taking a chance and reading my stories! :)
Oh, and check out the "trailer" for Phantom of Hogwarts that xtahsee made for me on youtube! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k63yCE9sslY
Reviews for Phantom of Hogwarts
I've been following this story for going on 4 years, and it's still a treat when I get the email that you've updated!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* I'm glad you're still enjoying it, darlin. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
That fine is outrageous! I'm sure it was set with the intention that he would not be able to pay. I loved how everyone spoke on Severus' behalf. And Harry making the offer of a loan. That was really big of him, even though he doesn't entirely approve of Hermione's choice. I hate that Severus has to feel indebted to Harry, but I think Harry was genuine about the terms of his offer, and that noone need know. It really is the best option. And I suspect that with working with Fern, and maybe the Weasleys as well, it won't take long for him to pay Harry back. I look very forward to the last few chapters of this story. It will seem very weird after all of this time to not be waiting for another one to post.

Got it in one! Give the pretty lady a prize! Conroy is a self-appointed morality police, and he wanted to send Snape to Azkaban, so he did what he could to orchestrate that when he was thwarted of doing it outright.I wanted to show Harry growing the hell up finally. LOL And, I see it as the first step in accepting Snape and being a friend. Hope you enjoy the end as well... here we go! ;)Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Damn the ministry. I wonder why Albus didn't offer any sort of advice to Severus seeing that he knows about Severus' situation since he is his former employer hence he knows his former salary.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
He may not have had any advice to give, particularly as he doesn't know that Snape has spent so much on the renovations, the furnishings, and the ring. As for Conroy--he's a right royal prat, and he'll get told. I promise. ;) Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Poor Severus. But at least Harry has seen to grow up now. I look forward the the last few chapters.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Indeed. And now Severus has another friend, besides AD, McG, and Ginny. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
I love this story!!! I am only happy that I only discovered this story recently becauce I didn't have to wait too long for updates. I am soo looking forward to the final chapters.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL Now you can read the whole thing, as the final chapter is up. ;) Glad you're enjoying it. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
What exactly did Severus do with his money in the 15 years prior to this fine?! He must have spent quite a bit on the renovations and Hermione's ring!Anyway, how humiliating it must be for a man of his age and education to owe his freedom and financial solvency to such a young man. And for that man to be Harry Potter? Wow, harsh. I wouldn't have been surprised to see him refuse the offer. Now, he has to living under yet another obligation to a Potter. I'm really sorry to see that.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Based on how much he would get in terms of lodging and food and provisions, I don't think his actual salary is as large as it would be if he were working someplace that didn't provide him housing and such. According to the Lexicon, an assistant manager at Flourish and Blotts made 42 Galleons a month, and a Galleon is about 5 pounds, which is almost 10 dollars, depending on the fluctuations in currency exchange (yes, I actually did this "research" while writing this--I'm that nerdy). By the time you convert everything and have to pay for both Muggle and magical renovations, furnish a whole house, and buy a special, enchanted ring, it adds up. Enough so that taking away almost an entire year's worth of pay would put him in a bind. As for Harry being the one to help, I'm sorry you find it harsh. It was intended to show Harry growing up and becoming a man, accepting Snape and being a friend. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Good on Harry for doing the decent thing. :)
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
About time that boy grew up, isn't it? ;) Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
awww! don't think of it as owing something to a "Potter", Sev, think of it as more of a owing something to an "Evans"!! lol. i little out of character in some parts, but you can't expect Sev to stay the same when he's in love, right? i know my boyfriend has certainly lightened up a bit since we've been together. once again, i love this story!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL You try explaining that to Severus... *snort* As far as OOC--I daresay the idea is that what would have been OOC for the character at the beginning of this tale/journey isn't at this point, hopefully due to all the development and growth up to now. LOL So, yeah, you hit it on the bulls-eye! Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Another wonderful chapter, I loved it!!!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Yay! I'm glad you enjoyed it, darlin. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Conroy is a berk, and I hope that one day he will have shame for the way the railroaded the decision by the Wizengamot. However, the wonderful testimonies that Severus and Hermione's family and friends offered in his defense were stunning. I was especially tickled with Millicent, Neville and Ron. Their glowing compliments about Professor Snape put a smile on my face.Dumbledore did a good job of minimizing the damage that Conroy could do, but the fine was astronomical. I felt so sorry for Severus when he had to control that awful sense of panic in front of everyone in the courtroom when he heard his sentence. His fear of letting Hermione down was palpable.I guess the one person that showed the most growth on this day was Harry. It was Providence that he happened to be checking out the under-stairs loo when he heard Snape and Hermione walking in that direction. I was really proud of the way he handled his offer of help to Severus. Unless the Potions Master chooses to tell his soon-to-be bride about it, no one will ever know. Way to go, Harry!Thank you for this amazing update, and I'm looking forward to what you have in mind for our couple in the next one. Beth
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*blush* Wow, what an awesome review! :D I love it when readers tell me they can feel what the characters feel--that makes me so happy! LOL Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Awww, Harry... bless... finally coming around!More please!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* Yes, it was quite satisfying to finally show Harry growing up. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
I am so incredibly happy you've updated again! I don't know how i feel about Harry loaning the money to Snape, I figured Dumbledore would reaveal some giant fortune of his or something. Regardless though, I can't wait to read the rest. :)
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL Well, AD did his part in defending Snape and staving off Veritaserum. Now Harry gets to grow up and be a friend. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Another great chapter...Go Harry for not letting him fall. And all of his students standing up for him YAY!!!! Cant wait for the next chapter.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* I wanted to show how much they've all grown--on their own and together. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
ouch on the finances. that is a painful thought but I am so glad Harry made nice and Severus accepted. LOVED Neville's statement back up Severus. You go Neville!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* I'm so glad you loved Neville too. He became my guilty pleasure--being able to show him maturing into such a great guy. *pets Neville* As for the fine--what else can you expect from a prick like Conroy who couldn't toss Snape into Azkaban like he wanted to? *snerk* Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
EEEE!!!! *relentless squeals!* Yea, thank you! *gives another 100 stars*
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Oh, WOW! *blush* I'm glad you enjoyed it, darlin! Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
so maybe harry will grow up after all. super update. thanks and mega mucho smoochies
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Indeed. Here's to the Boy-Who-Lived becoming the Man-Who-Grew-Up. ;) Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
oh are we not a bunch of lucky people a second update in as many days. As always my dear GW you are awesome! so can we now turn Conroy into a goat? I'm sure Albus's brother is needing a new friend soon. LOL
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
ROFLMAO!!!!!!! That would such a satisfying thing to do... ;P Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
That fine was a bit stiff considering the fact that they've already banned him from one line of employment, but I guess there had to be some future deterent on the books. Glad to see that Harry finally got over himself and found a decent way to help. Even better that he is doing it privately, because it shows he means well and is not doing it for publicity or appobation. Now I'm hoping that Hermione doesn't have a hard time with her new employment, although I can see one rule being instantly instated when it comes to the theatrical competitions - no student/teacher romantic character pairings! LOL!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Yeah, Conroy is one of those officious pricks who appoint themselves as morality police and use their authority to punish those they dislike. And I'm glad Harry's finally growing up. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
I'm so glad to see you again! I thought the shower scene was quite steamy. The mother and nurse in me were cringing about how slippery the shower is, just waiting for one of them to fall and crack their head open. But the avid smut reader locked those two lightweights in the garage AND used the deadbolt. They will be gone for awhile, so feel free to really go crazy next time ;)I can't imagine trying to start a new life with someone, only to have nearly everyone against you. I think they might have been better off never spilling the beans about their at school affair, and just pretend they started hanging out after graduation. This Conroy guy is a nasty piece of work. But I think that Dumbledore has it under control... right? I hope part two is on it's way soon. I can't stand the suspense!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
BWAHAHAHA!!! I'm glad the smut reader in you won that skirmish. ;P Glad you're enjoying it! Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
wow! what a swine that conroy is! and i love albus' defence of severus...he owes him! wonderful update. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Indeed! AD definitely owes Snape--big time. *nods* And Conroy is one of those self-appointed morality police prats that no one likes. *snort* Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
I have yet to leave a review, but I want to let you know that I have not read your story until now. So I will be reading it for the next several weeks. So far it is fantastic. I agree with you that Snape and the Phantom(Eric) are alot a like. I have alway loved Phantom and at one time I was like Hermione and could sing the whole thing without looking at the song book. I am very biast and no one can really do the Phantom better than Micheal Crawford. Just like Alan Rickman is Snape. I look forward to reading this and I will try to leave reveiws sporactily.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
Welcome! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far, and I hope you continue to do so. It's actually complete now, so you won't have to wait for any more updates. LOL Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was very excited to see an update. That said, you are terrible!!!!!!!!!! Leaving us on a note like that; I'm so worried.I know, of course, that you'd never let anything terrible happen to them, but I just get so sucked into the story!I'm so excited at the way things are shaping up and I can't wait to read more of it!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL!! I'm pretty bad with the cliffies now--I've had so much practice at it, you see. ;P Glad you're still enjoying it. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
You know, I actually read the first half of this chapter aloud to myself, just for giggles. You use alliteration and rhyme more than I'd originally noticed, and it only really comes out when you're reading and listening. Cool! Also... this Conroy fellow either has some serious aces up his sleeves, or he's going to be beat down, Hogwarts style. Maybe both? Either way, I look forward to seeing it.
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL!!! Wow, that's awesome. Every once in a great while I read things out loud to myself (and always with an attempt at a British accent, of course) and it's fun! I'm glad you enjoyed it, including that unexpected extra! Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
Wow! Thanks for this amazing chapter... with an ebil cliffie. Now what can this Conroy have to say about Severus and Hermione... will he try to keep them apart? Not possible! Please update soon. I'm dying to know what will happen next. This is one of the most fun stories in SS/HG ship. I LOVE IT!!!Beth
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
LOL Yeah, I'm kinda addicted to the cliffies, after all this time. ;P Glad you're still enjoying it. Thanks so much for reviewing! :)
WHOOHOOHOOOOO!!!! An UPDATE!!! Oh I LOVE IT!!! What a GRAND surprise...Poor Severus and Hermione, having to go thru this trial...I hope this Conroy person doesn't get to haughty and try and hurt our couple....Glad so many people showed up for them to support them...Grand, grand chapter...WELL DONE!!! LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE!!!! YAYAYAYAYAY!!
Response from Good_Witch (Author of Phantom of Hogwarts)
*beams* It made me happy too, that they had people on their side. LOL And I'm the one writing this thing! ;P Thanks as always for reviewing! :)
