Oh, God bless Ginny. What would they do without her? I love the way she managed to get detention, and the way spoke to Snape. Looking forward to (hopefully) seeing Hermione and Severus' reunion next chapter before rehearsal!

Way to go Ginny! I loved her way of getting him to keep her after class; that took SERIOUS guts to blow a bubble in Severus' face like that. Don't know that I could have done that. And I loved the way she smoothed things out for them both. She did what I was dying to do; give them both a talking to and explain exactly where they each went wrong. I can't wait for the next chapter, where Hermione and Severus (hopefully) reconcile face to face. Now, just need to keep Colin away 'til he gets it thru his thick head that he's not going to get with Hermione before Severus hexs him into next week! That would be really hard to explain to Dumbledore. Great job, and I hope RL gets off your back!

Oh, such a sad and angsty chapter! Mirrored the play very nicely. I expected this chapter to be somewhat like that.

Now, I am getting a bit worried about the actual performance...I know a ways away. It seems that Draco is paying a little bit too much attention to things and I'm wondering if during the actual performance that he'll try to maneuver things so that the chandelier does actually fall on Hermione.

As usual, I found that I had to pull out my soundtrack before I could thoroughly enjoy reading the chapter. I'm anxious for more! ~Ginny

Oh for the love of Pete! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... Severus needs a swift kick in the arse, though I will admit that Hermione could have handled that better. But still! Man, I hope you update very soon, I have to know how this goes. I hope she's able to get thru to him, and that he'll believe her. And I have a bad feeling about Draco; he's definately up to something. PLEASE PLEASE update asap, I can't take the suspense.

This whole chapter was brilliant, especially since it contained the rehearsal of my favourite scene from the stage show (and movie, actually). The parallel between the Phantom and Snape was heartbreaking, and if I wasn't already in tears, I lost it for good at this line, "Hermione was in the wing, staring in guilty horror at the emotional wreck that was Severus Snape, singing the Phantom?s betrayal with an all too frightening realism."
Absolutely amazing, as always. My favourite chapter yet.

ooooo, a most excellent chapter!!!! Again!! This was well done! I love the way you are developing the relationship...I like that Snape, at least, has the self-discipline to remain celibate until Hermione graduates...(Reminds me of my hubby--*giggle*) I love that Ginny has been able to help cover for Hermione a bit...with the criticizing of Harry and the explanation for Snape's behavior...

God lord that was absolutely beautiful. Not only was it sexy and oh, so hot, it was emotionally charged and intense. Watching Severus and Hermione's relationship slowly unfold has been nothing short of pure pleasure to read. This slow and achingly arousing discovery of each other pleasure was just gorgeous!! Beautifully done! I can't wait to see what you have is store for us next!!

I actually read this a few minutes ago... but needed a moment to collect my thoughts, well if I wanted to say something other than... Damn that was hot!
While that is always a good review this chapter deserves so much more. The way that you write the emotion of these two characters is so believable, I actually find myself trapped inside their world. Pulling for them hoping that everything turns out for them and wishing that they find happiness with each other. It makes this fic bloody brilliant.

I am really enjoying this. I have always loved Phantom. I think its great the way you are mirroring their daily lives with the plot of the musical. Although, I do hope Hermione and Snape have a happier ending than their counterparts.

I can't even wait till I'm half-way through to mark down my reactions! I loved this line:

There's so much packed into that--Snape remembers the casting, he recognizes the interplay between those two characters, you even have some of his frustrations with DD's spell-meddling. Excellent line! I really like how the way you're writing this will help illustrate PotO to anyone who is unfamiliar with it (including Hermione's breathless recap in Ch. 3), but not in a way that belittles anyone for not knowing (after all, Snape doesn't!). 

You know, I doubt there will be much “acting” going on at all in this production! Seems that hat managed to cast everyone but the Phantom with someone who fits the role normally! 

Oh, Snape, you're so missing the point! LOVE that. "Heedless, impetuous girl" sounds really familiar--is that a line from the musical? *gets out her own London cast recording* Ohh, and the additions of Snape's life-long experience as a magic wielder is evident in his assumptions ('they have Disapparated', etc)! Very well done. 

I'd forgotten to review this chapter (and the one previous, maybe--if so, be sure to know I loved it!), whoops!

I'll admit, this chapter made me a tad uncomfortable (but that could have been the intent, so if so, it worked) because I tend to feel that way any time I read Harry in a story where he's 'pushy' (there really is a better adjective somewhere, but it escapes me--I don't mean it in such a negative connotation). However, I think you did a great job of showing what a young woman might feel like if she were suddenly confronted with affection from her best friend--that she feels sparks from, harking back to the dud with Ron. The shock, pleasant surprise, growing excitement, and delighted acquiescence are all wonderfully represented here.
