I'm a forty-something American woman who is addicted to the SSHG pairing, relatively new to this fandom. I'm also considering starting some original fiction soon...

Oh, no, this is nowhere near the last chapter -- we have about 20 to go. Ths story is completely written, but the speed with which it can be posted here is limited by how full the queue is, and lately, the queue has been extremely busy. If you're desperate to read the rest immediately, check my profile for other places where it's archived. I am tweaking it as I take it through the validation process here, but it's not changing much.In any event, I appreciate the review, and I'm glad you're enjoying the story enough to beg for more chapters!

Ah ha! Now they are both of them "guilty" of using magic with each other. Watching Severus and Hermione scope each other out is so much fun. But watching Minerva trying to figure out what's going on between the two of them is down right hilarious.Thanks for this chapter!Beth

Wait 'til Dumbledore gets a clue -- that's even more fun than Minerva (who, I agree, is really fun to watch as she tries to scope out what's going on between two people who won't even admit to themselves that anything might be going on!).Thanks for reviewing! :D

Hmmm....I Like!I love Snape's reluctance - it's so authentic. And the chapters are good, but maybe you should start to build tension apart from the dreams?

silly, silly man. Why must he take cold showers?! He's in the privacy of his own room. He won't even allow himself a fantasy. UGH! Of course it's very like I'd expect severus snape to be.

I know! I can't help thinking he'd be a little bit repressed (especially with Hermione so recently his student), and it might take him a while to loosen up and let himself go, even in his private quarters.Thanks for the review!
Awww... they had their first dance together. Around the topic at hand, that is. They're being civil and dare I say, friendly. Why can't one or the other have the nerve to just approach the subject? I wonder what it will take for that to happen? Another nice chapter. It seems we have made some serious headway, but towards something good or bad, I can't say.

I've never seen two people work harder (and fail so completely) to not be attracted to each other as Severus and Hermione. LOL! The more they try to be cool about it, the more they think about it.

Methinks they doth protest too much. Sooner or later one of them is going to slip up and say or do something to give themselves away, and Minerva will be all over that like a duck on a June bug.And I can't wait!

This story is turning out to be so yummy! And his head is right - she's not forbidden fruit anymore, so he should go for it! Funny how even his subconcious doesn't forget she's a muggleborn!

If it worked, he would probably find his soul, his humanity; and Hermione would probably find herself cherished and loved beyond what she could ever have imagined.I love this line. It's such a beautiful hope.

Thank you! I always thought he really needed someone to love him unconditionally, and that he would be utterly devoted to the woman who loved him like that. Love often does bring out the best in people ...

They're getting in deeper and deeper, aren't they? And who says she doesn't have enough Slytherin in her, she seems to be plotting just fine. Very interested to see what will finally cause them to confront this thing. Will Minerva call them out, or will they accidentally become a tangled mess on the staff room couch, and afterwards have no way to deny things any longer? You've got me hooked!
