Reviews for A Kind Of Magic
I love the description of her home. It sounds very new age and ecclectic. Lovely. You are mean to cut us off right at the lemony bit! For shame. LOL
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Trust me, there's more lemons than a lemon convention in the next chapter!
She kinda likes playing with wands, doesn't she? * hums innocently* ;)
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Oh yes. And she's very good, as you'll see by the next chapter ;-)
*giggle* I loved their bantering and I'm sure I'm going to love every single chapter that follows...
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
You're very kind. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Must have felt like a smack on the head for the dear Professor. Good thing Sarah is straight-forward, he'd never figured it out himself. *rolls eyes*My favourite line in this chapter: Yes, even crusty old professors like me are known to get their ancient legs over a broom from time to time. Crusty? LOLWell, he can ride my broom anyday./M
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
You and me both, sister ;-)
Geeeh, he's slow! He really needs it spelled out, does he? Will he now take her to the broomshed and they fly a round together? If it was me, I'd want this rather than Madam Puddifoot's. But alas, I'm no Wicca, and Severus won't set an eye on me, ever.
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
He's complex, damaged and fragile. Needs spelling out in capitals! And yes, we all wish the dear professor would sweep us up too. I hope you stick with it, thanks for reviewing

Wow! Lovely, star girl! I'm so glad he told her about their 'non' binding. She definitely deserved to know.
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Thank you! He likes to make things hard for himself, thats for sure...
I find that as I begin reading fanfic, I develop theories about where the author might take us; I've done so with you, but you surprise me at every turn. Well done, you.
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
That's a big compliment, thank you. All I can say is that there are more surprises in store!
Awwww! How can he refuse that?
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
I'm sure he'll find a way, hehe
Oh, I'm so glad that Albus is helping out where Severus fears to tread. Great chapter!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Thank you, so pleased you enjoyed it. Keep your eyes on Albus; he may only be a painting now but that doesn't hinder his ability to get involved. Thanks for reviewing.
Madam Puddifoot's! Is Albus trying to kill Severus or something? Lol. What torture. I guess the real question is will he take her or not?I liked Albus' little talk. I find him much more agreeable now that he's dead and not meddling in the world's problems and just in those he 'loves.'
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Thanks for stopping by! Keep your eyes on Albus, is all I'll say...
Little rude, prickly, unpleasant, obnoxious ... who? Severus Snape. Naaa!! LOLYou know, Snape and Dumbledore remind me of an old married couple. Bicker, bicker, bicker ... hehe/M
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
They have that family-like way of annoying each other ;-)
Madam Puddifoot's? Oh dear...
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Hehe, damn that Albus!
I wish there were a painting of Dumbledore in my house, he gives the most lovely advice. LOL I'm so anxious for her studies to begin. Though I suppose Severus will go all noble, and refuse to have a relationship w/ her while she's studying!!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Ever the meddling Gryffindor! There's plenty more fun to come. Thanks for reading!
Albus is such a stirrer!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Totally! He knows which buttons to press to really get on his nerves.
You are such a tease!!! Seeing Hogwarts thru fresh eyes will never get old... We need more! Lovely, honestly. I think this story is fascinating. =]
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
You're very kind and I hope you continue to enjoy it.
It's so fun to see the castle through Sarah's eyes. We're all so used to it and take everything for granted as being 'normal.' It's like having an innocent child along for the ride.
Loved their outfits and rapport. Severus is being cordial, but not too aloof. And his thoughts reveal his real feelings.
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Most kind. Severus is on his best behaviour. The snark is still there! Thanks for reviewing.
An adult student. How progressive of Hogwarts! :)
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Very progressive! Question is, what happens next?
How does one wolf-whistle internally?Nice to see Severus a tad more relaxed. He deserves it./M
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Hubba hubba... woof woof... howl... pant... aye caramba!
Response from morgaine_dulac (Reviewer)
And all this internally?
nice chapter! It is certainly refreshing to have a Severus who's not brooding and sinister all the time. I wonder if he'd take her to the Astronomy tower, though.
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
We get to see a different side of him, that's for sure, but you cannot completely erase the snarky man, as you'll see later. And as for the Astronomy Tower, well that is involved later on in the story too, hence him having to show it to her (can't say too much, lol). Thanks for stopping by :)
Excellent, let the fun begin. Of course Severus should not teach her, but honestly, it would be great if he had to suffer her failing in one of his subjects--and still love her.A.D. didn't turn out quite this cheery in DH, but I still like the idea that he's happy for Severus and generally helpful.
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Pleased you're enjoying it. My AD is more reminiscent of the earlier books. I think everyone mellowed after the war, SS and AD no exception. And I have a great deal of fun knowing AD can really wind SS up, hehe. Thanks for reviewing, hope you continue to enjoy it.
Okay, he doesn't seem all that grumpy any more... Let's see where this is going!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
He has his moments, dear Severus. But there's still snark in there...
I truly enjoyed this. It was nice to see Albus being supportive instead of manipulative. His information was so important too! The fact that their love and attraction made the cage of fire, instead of the other way around is wonderful! And he even gave Severus an out to continue a relationship with Sarah while she learns about her newfound magic. Yay!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
So pleased you enjoyed it, it was such fun to write!
Twinkly-eyed fucker is really enjoying this, isn’t he?Still think this is the best line EVER!!/M
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Thank you sweetie. You know how much I love the relationship between these two.
Sounds like Saturdays could be fun...
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Lucky Sarah eh?
I love the conversation between Albus and Severus. Excellent writing for the both of them. I hope to one day have occasion to use the insult 'twinkly-eyed fucker'. I think it's brilliant!!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Thank you, this chapter was great fun to write and I love the relationship between the two. Glad you enjoyed it!
