Oh, no, she decided against Defense, although she was particularly gifted with the Patronus, right? I wonder if she'll change her mind when certain obstacles are removed. McGonagall seems not to know any details. So, what did Severus tell her? Thankfully Albus' portrait has taken actions, where these two seem unable to talk! I'm surprised, though, that McGonagall has even a single nice word in favour of Divination. Does she engage the centaur now?

Sarah wasn't allowed to take dada formally because of her relationship with Severus. Minerva does not know about the true nature of their relationship as yet. And yes, since the war many opinions were changed, and as headmistress she has to value each subject taught.
Well, I hope Albus can help her sort things out...

As sad a chapter (and short, BTW) Severus did get what he hoped for ... he was very remorseful. Hopefully he will feel more worthy of Sarah....

I am sure when my lazy muse ever gets herself together I will finish it! Very dark memory... Always thought Severus has so many dark things to work through... poor thing. And as for Avery - mua ha ha
This has always been such a sad chapter to read; my heart goes out to Severus in this. It was as much a rape for him as the woman involved. Is it any wonder that he's the way he is? :-)

Ah, nothing like meeting up with the girls!
This remains one of my 'all time favourite fanfics' and seeing it posted here again gives me another chance to tell you how good I think it is. Your Severus is, well just so Severus really; stubbon, acetic & self-loathing as ever! And, in Sarah, you have one of the best OFCs created in my opinion. I'm really glad to be able to have an excuse to read this again! :-)
