Reviews for A Kind Of Magic
This went truly smoothly! It's a pity it did, for if it had not, they would have had reasons to meet again. As it is, Severus will avoid her again, determined to cause himself as much pain as he can--totally ignoring what he does to others. Pay his debt--my ar...! Sprout shall have words with him to frighten her charges like that! The motherly types usually do have a fierce side when angered.

Stubborn Capricorns, what can you do? ;-)
He's making me frustrated. Interesting banking practices, especially the quill.

After HP's break-in, they had to adopt better security ;-)
I loved your pun Dai Rectebit!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Thank you! Hope it made you smile.
Dai Rectebit. very funny! :)

Pleased you liked it :-)
i love this, it's well written and intriguing. You handle Snape's character very well and it's a nice change from normal H/S stories.
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Thank you so much, I hope you stick with it and continue to enjoy it.
FUN! I loved all the details with opening her gringotts account. That kind of world building is a big turn on for this fangirl! So when Sarah accidentially sent him the "I miss you" he responded in his own head not hers right?
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
I'm so pleased you're still enjoying this. Yep, the dear man had put his mental barriers up. Fool! ;-)
This is getting so interesting. I want them to talk to one another though!!!! =]

Patience, my dear :)
On gradually re-reading this story again I have become more fully aware of why I have (and still do) claim it to be one of my all time favourites (probably my all-time fav in truth!) It is your portrayal of Severus. Far from being too honourable and reserved, I can actually see him being exactly like this and understand all his reasons for it as well. This Chapter explains so well the 'thinking' behind the man and I think you've done a fantastic job of getting that across. Without doubt he was JKR's most principled character and the one most deserving of recognition, honour, praise and, above all else, love. None of which by her hand he of course got! I think I shall award you the Special '
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
' Award for Best Severus - EVER! Look forward to the next and continuing Chapters; I just never tire of this fic! :-)As for anyone wanting to have anything to do with that slimy Lucius Malfoy when all anyone would ever need is the Potions master himself(no mutual friend's names mentioned here of course *whistles innocently* LOL!) :-)
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Once again you have paid me an incredible compliment and touched me deeply in the process. Thank you so much,

.
Note to Professor Snape: Grow up!! Gesh, really, Severus, lighten up!Btw, who would not like "being in a sexual situation with Lucius Malfoy"? Seriously! LOL
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Poor man. He's hardcore het-and does not like to share. Even if he would make Malfoy's snake look like a worm in comparison to his mighty basilisk ;-)
Sarah needs to give him a good, swift kick in the pants. I hope he can wake up and see that happiness is a possibility. I know he's never really had that, so it's hard for him to think possible. I just hope he can get there.
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Let's see what the Ravenclaw comes up with ;-)
I think Sarah needs to take the upper hand here! :)
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
But how? ;-)
OK, the hell with "Sarah's own good". She's out numbered. The readers want Sev to have Sarah.....Good chapter!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Thanks for sticking with it!
I am intreguied by your idea that Narcissa and Severus could have had a life together. I do like your honorable Severus. He is a tad too honorable though b/c he is pushing Sarah away. Maybe she should dose him with a love potion. Wouldnt that be a hoot?
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
I think the Vow scene between NM an SS speaks volumes-there seems to be so much undeneath. If she had not been likely betrothed to Lucius since birth due to blood status, I like to think they could have been good together.
May I slap him? Just a liiiiiittle bit??
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
On his botty :)
Response from morgaine_dulac (Reviewer)
But of course!
That was depressing. She needs to talk with Albus. Get her to Albus soon. (I can't believe I just suggested involving Albus in this! I find him to be incredibly meddlesome.)
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Curious you should say that... But yes, the man is an insufferable meddler!
Talk, children, talk! :)
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
She has a job on her hands, doesn't she?
Talk, you dunderheads! T-A-L-K!! /M
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
If only it were that easy. Darling Severus is as stubborn as a goat and keeps his emotions under lock and key. Let's hope Sarah can see through his facade.
The letter was a rather 'low blow'. Sometimes I just want to knock character's heads together and say, "talk this out, right now!" Though conflicts that are easily resolved make for rather boring reading, don't you agree! *wink*
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
I quite agree. And it is not in dear Severus' nature to be all open with his deepest emotions - I'm sure his Occlumency is so good for that very reason. It can only get worse before it gets better. Thanks for reading :)
Well done! Thanks for writing!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Once again, thanks so much! I'm thrilled you read the whole thing and enjoyed it, and took the time to drop me a note.
Seriously, this :"Twinkly-eyed fucker is really enjoying this, isn’t he? thought Severus savagely."Is the funniest fucking thing I have read in like, EVER.I am absolutely LOVING this story!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Thank you so much! Your review has made me grin all day long!
Dang it! That just wasn't fair! Make it better.
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
It won't be easy for them. Thanks for stopping by.
damage done indeed! What an excellent twist! Of course Severus would not even think of explaining anything, and Sarah hasn't got a chance to understand it in this speed. I'm curious to see how and with the aid of whom you'll solve this. In the meantime let's hope Severus can find some cheap trinkets to destroy rather than his wonderful books!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Glad you liked the twist. It will be hard for them both.
That was awful! Severus will now have to explain his previous lack of power and influence. That will be tough on his pride!
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
It's more than his pride that is hurt. Thanks for reviewing.
Oh dear. Nothing good ever comes from poking your nose where it doesn't belong! :)
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Indeed! It's awful for them both.
Oh my God! Just when things were going so well... Grrr. Well written, and nice twist to the story! =]
Response from star_girl (Author of A Kind Of Magic)
Thank you... Severus couldn't hide his dark past forever.
