A beautiful story. Hidden talent coming forward again!(Where do you find the time?) And why aren't you yet discovered?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I only work half time, I have a large, beautiful chouch, I am unmarried and I put my son to bed early so I can get to my computer *lol*Hugs for calling me a hidden talent, smoggy. And a few extra bounces for thinking I should get discovered!

that was a great chapter. Are you going to let them sleep together before they figure out the other's identity?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Usuall, I answer blunt questions, but I think I won't here. And what makes you think they sleep with each other at all?You will have to wait another two chapters before you find the answer to your question, dear ;-) And many thanks for reviewing!

Hmmm... actually I've always wanted to read a Severus/Hermione story where they don't have sex but end up friends. I'm thinking outloud, not really nosying about, well, maybe just a little. This really is a wonderful story.

I really like your characterizations of Carlos, Tessa and her children. It also seems real about Tessa's husband. Their relationship is sad with out totally villanizing him. There are subtle hints of magic, but overall the story could be about any love triangle. I like that about your story. It's very compelling and I look forward to updates.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I wanted to show what would have happened if Hermione really had married Ron. Being friends is not enough for a marriage, and although he would not mistreat her, I believe ten years in such a relationship simply for the sake of her children would make her sad, dampen her spirits, make her unrecogniseable even for someone who once taught her. And of course both assume the other one is a Muggle, thus the absence of magic. Will update on a regular, loosely weekly basis.

I wonder what's this mutual feeling of knowing one another . I enjoy this story very much so keep it coming please.

I will, don't worry. I always finish a story before I post the first chapter, so this one only needs the final polishing. Next chapter should go into queue around coming weekend. Thanks a lot for reading and reviewing!

Absolutely fantastic job! I am really looking forward to the next chapter!!! If I could rate this story higher than a 5, I definately would, because I think you deserve a 10. -

Thank you. In canon and most stories I've read, he is awful to children, and I wanted to change that a bit. Rose and Hugo are very young; and then, he has changed, hasn't he!Thanks for revieiwng!

It was very interesting to know a little about her life. Seems as if she lives the life of a "beautiful prize at her successful husband's side". Time to drop a bomb or two, I'd say...
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Hmmm. I could tell you that she will go back to hubby. I could tell you nothing will change. But I won't, of course, as it would spoil the story. And it would be a lie, anyway.Sort of.I will update fast and regularly, dear, promise. Hope you can wait that long!

Do I have a choice?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Erm... No.:-)

Good job. I think that our Tessa needs some cheering up and Carlos certainly seems like the right man for the job. -

I can tell you it develops slowly. The story has about twelve chapters, and I wanted a nice and easy pace. Thanks for reviewing!

It makes complete sense that Snape would make wine! It takes quite a bit of finesse and patience.I've my guess about the mystery woman... but why the blond hair? Poor thing, she really does seem miserable.Great story! Looking forward to the chase.

Thank you for your lovely review - I didn't look at his job from this angle, just wanted him to do something that keeps him outside. May I please add your explanation to my story?Concerning the blond hair, may I point you to the answer I gave to elsolel's review, bringing up the same quesiton? It's right underneath yours for this chapter. And many thanks for reviewing, dear!

I like this Severus, and I like this story. Thanks for sharing this!

I'm really appreciating the unique moment in time and perspective that this story represents. Hermione is rationally miserable and isn't just running from Ron with abandon because he's done something rash. I'm curious about what has motivated her to stick by his side for so very long. She's clearly acknowledged that things are not as they ought to bed. Thanks for sharing this!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Unique... now that is a word I treasure when it comes to my stories! So thanks for using it and thanks for reviewing. I tried to paint a picture of a Hermione who really has married Ron Weasley. They are - IMO - not made for each other, and this fact would show off after ten years. Hence her sadness, hence the fact that even someone who taught her doesn't recognise her. Her motivation are her children. Will say a sentence or two about it in a later chapter.

A sad tale from Hermione. For a guy who comes from a big family, Ron sure acts unfatherly and unhusband-like. Perhaps Molly should stop harping on Hermy and tell her son to be a better man. But she wouldn't do that, would she? Can't wait until these two figure out who each other is. And my guess is the bracelet has something to do with his cover.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Molly would, IMO, support her son whatever he does. And Hermione is not the daughter in law she wanted, at least not in this story. Thus the nagging. You are too preceptive, dear. I will tell you about the bracelet and the tattoo in a few chapters. Thanks for reviewing!

I can't wait until he realizes who she is.... Will he accidentally see into her mind? :)
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
*snigger* No, he can't do that without a wand anymore (will explain why), and even with a wand, he wouldn't do it. Not in this story. He will accidentally overhear a conversation. If he figures out at all who she is before she goes back to Ronnykins, that is.Thanks for reviewing, dear!

Another great chapter, but how long do we have to wait before they realize who they are??????
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Did I make a promise that they will??? Nooo, I didn't. She might go back home to hubby, not knowing who he is. And not sharing as much as a kiss with him, either. But maybe she won't.Hehehe. Thanks for reviewing!

Very poignant. I am intrigued to find out if Hermione will actually cheat on Ron, and who will be the first to realize who the other is in this relationship. Keep writing please!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Actually, I don't need to keep writing, I just need to do the final polishing. Thus, I will update fast and regularly. If she cheats on Ron, I will give the proper warnings for adultery ;-)Thanks for reviewing!

Very chivalrous of him not to push it, wasn't it? ;)
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
He has changed. A lot. Ten, fifteen years ago, he wouldn't have been that gentle, nor that patient. I do like your choice of words, dear. Chivalrous indeed.

Ron's family supports the way he lives his life with the little contact he has with his family? Hermione needs to be herself again.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Molly would always support her children, no matter where they go. And I agree with you - Tessa needs to become herself again. I promise she will. Thanks for reviewing!

Mmm - terrific start, but I'm a bit worried by your answers to other reviews. Not that I'm American...

You mean concerning the unusual happy ending? Hmmm. Understandable. So let me tell you that it ends with a kiss ;-) Hope that helps. And many thanks for reviewing!

Very neat. I like that he is not totally after sex.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I thinks he likes sex, but needs more to be happy. After a lifetime of unhappyness, why should he go for less? And with her he might have found someone who really needs him, too. Thanks for reviewing!

Extremely interesting. Why is she blond?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
My real haircolour is brown, but I have been black and red, too. Occasionally, I crave a change. I imagine it makes me more interesting, younger, better looking, and so forth and so on.Quesiton answered?:-) I'll explain why in a later chapter. Thanks for reviewing!

ARGH! She's so closed!

Why should she trust him? She wants to, mind me, but she doesn't dare yet. In the next chapter, she'll open up a bit. Thanks for reviewing!

An interesting time of life for them both. Hermione with blond hair, it is hard to imagine. A disguise or was she trying to change herself to please Ron? I can imagine Snape running around starkers, however.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I will explain her haircolour as well as her behaviour in one of the next chapters. At least the blond is just something she wanted to try out ;-)And Snape naked is truly a thought worth thinking of ;-)Thanks for reviewing!

Brilliant update, I love how Severus treats her children, and I love that he told her upfront that he wanted her in his bed:-) While I read one answear to a review that you will let us know why Hermione stays in a marriage she doesn't want, I hope that will be an issue of the past? I also noticed that you are writing this for Notsosaintly who has demanded a happy end (as if any good story will have anything but a happy ending?), I hope you realise that Hermione staying married to Ron instead of running of into the sunset with Severus, will never, ever, be counted as a happy ending?:-)). Just the thought of them (Hermione and Ron) together gives me the creeps. I think I will pretend that Rose and Hugo were conceived by articicial insemination rather than thinking of Hermione having sex with Ron (probably going to have nigthmares tonight due to even thinking about it:-))Update again soon, I look forward to read more!

I guess he had enough of games after a lifetime of spying. Being direct and honest fits his character, IMO.Oh, and you shouldn't read my answers to other reviews. Think I told you that before ;-)I hope I don't give too much away here, but the running away into sunset is not an option. I will explain why. in a chapter or two. The required hapy ending will be an unusual one, I'm affraid. It might not suit especially American readers, but still; I wanted to write something different from the common running-away-living-happyly-ever-after-version.You'll have to wait, dear. And hugs for reading and reviewing!
