Reviews for At the Beach
Wow, you covered a lot! I loved how they admitted their feelings right away. This new 'don't call me Severus' is so caring and devoted. But now's the big uh-oh! What are they going to do? I'm actually glad that they'll be out in the open. Five more years is a long time to wait to be together for real. Of course, I'm jumping the gun here and assuming that they'll be together now. I liked your interpretation of Molly. She's a pushy, jerk. You just want to slap her!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
They love each other, they do care for each other, and currently, Hermione thinks of abortion. Hope that will make waiting for the next chapter easier *grins evilly*I'll update soon. Thanks for reviewing!
Ah, they must have known that their arrangement would not last forever. Entropy always wins no matter how we struggle...Ron will get a shock--seeing as he and Hermione don't sleep together anymore. Yikes! Will we see that confrontation?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Sorry, but I cannot answer your question, as it would give too much away. But I promise to update soon. Thanks for reviewing!
So much for the best of plans, I believe everything happens for a reason. It would sure be nice if Ron were to hit HER up first for a divorce before her news becomes known. We will see what happens next. Good for Hermione, selling their old home and moving to another home, more to her liking. Great chapter, looking forward to the next.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thanks so much, dear! The house-selling bit and the scene in Carlos's house is in there only because my beta grumbled that the chapter felt rushed in the first version. Update soon, promise!
She is pregnant. An unexpected, but logical consequence of their lovemaking. Thanks for updating!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Um, contraception spells? She used them, you know, and currently wonders how she could become pregnant. Thanks for reviewing!
Huzzah!!!! Oh but the commotion this will cause. Carlos won't mind too much I would think and Ron, well, she might have to seduce him just for show. Ick, I don't think that would read well. . .
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Urgh, you have a wicked fantasy! And then there would be another child she couldn't keep if she decides to get divorced at all. An abortion would be more logical... Thanks for reviewing!
Great to see an update to this story. It breaks my heart that they have to wait so long to be together, but now with her pregnant... Can't wait to find out what happens.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
The next chapter is written and only needs to get betaed. I will update soon, promise. Thanks for reviewing!
Chivalric, you are the best. Great chapter. Pregnant! I didn't see that coming.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
*blushes*Thanks, dear! I promise to update soon.
I was so happy to see an update on this story and ecstatic when I read it! Oh, I'm so happy for both of them and I was surprised that it took this long for the pregnancy. Happy ending please *divorce from Ron, the children like Carlos better and all live happily ever after*
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Erm... ok, then.*g*And then, she didn't plan to get pregnant. In fact, she used a contracepition spell. Thanks for reviewing!
First of all, I didn't expect such a long chapter, and I'm so thrilled you did it.
Second, I didn't expect so much time would pass during in one chapter. Almost three years is a lot. But as they had years to go before the two children were at Hogwarts, it's a good thing too.
And Finally, PREGNANT !!!!!! *grinning madly* I'm in heaven.
Honestly, I don't know how they cope with their situation. Just seeing each other a couple of weeks each year and not going mad is beyond my reasonning. I truly ached for them. Of course, everything disappear when they're together, but what of the rest of the time?
I suppose now they'll have to change their plans, as this baby can't be passed for Ron's, especially since he hasn't touched his wife for several years. Plus, the baby might have a large nose and black hair... *grin*
This was a wonderful update and Iwish this would never end. So, I'd like to ask how much more chapters do you plan, so I can prepare myself for the worst. *wink*
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
The original version of this chapter was shorter - the house-selling bit, the scene in Carlos's house, her chat with her mom was all missing and only in there because of my beta, Dreamy_Dragon. She said the chapter feels rushed, and she was (and still is) right. I do cover a lot of time, which is, compared to the other chapters, unusual. But then, I didn'T want to repeat myself with endless sex-scenes and decided to move on a bit.The baby will look like Carlos. A bit. If she doesn't abort it, that is. Thanks a lot for reviewing. Another three chapters to go (that includes the epilogue).
Knew this idyll couldn't last without a spanner in theworks. She'll have to confess to Ron; even if she waswilling to shag him, there's too much risk of a black-haired, black-eyed baby being born. I'm sure Georgewill be supportive, but things obviously couldn't continueto drift for much longer. Life isn't like that.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I agree, idyll gets boring when you write about it for too long. Currently, she wonders how she could become pregnant and if she should abort the child. Ron is definitely her last concern. As usual, thanks for reviewing!
I am glad that Severus and Hermione were able to meet several times a year and get to know each other better. I like how Hermione became pregnant after three years instead of just right away. I wonder what Hermione is going to do about her situation. Ron will find out eventually, so it would be better if she told him before it became obvious to everyone (Molly included!). I love your descriptions of Rose and Hugo and their interactions with Hermione and Carlos. With only a few sentences you convey their personalities completely. I am quite eager to read the next chapter. Please post again soon!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Well, she's using a contraception spell and doesn't know how she could become pregnant at all. So because this is her, she'll find out before thinking about the consequences, and telling Carlos is on top of her list. Thanks for reviewing!
I knew it would happen!!! Ahhhh yay!! This fic is sooo good even though snape is ooc but you've done it so well and in the right way!! Argh!! Can't wait for the next chappie!! Squee!! -Lio-
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
*g* Thanks for squeeing and reviewing. I will post the next chapter soon, it will get betad in the next few days.
Oh, dear; looks as if Hermione and Carlos are having their hand forced quite a bit earlier than planned. I hope George stays an ally to her; she's going to need it. I loved the warmth and happiness you conveyed while writing Hermione and Carlos together, and the children's reactions are very interesting.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thank you for your reassuring words - I wasn't at all sure about the pregnancy and all. Next chapter should go into queue soon.
Pregnant? From Ron? Oh Gods...
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I just checked - I definitely didn't mention the father's name ;-)I'll update soon. And thanks for reviewing!
Response from Muggline (Reviewer)
Yes, but if she hasn't seen Severus for two months (and we clever gals usually notice earlier than two months along)...
All throughout the chapter I have been expecting the proverbial axe to fall. It lurked through the happiness. No, it shone like a beacon. It fell harder than I thought. With Ron sleeping in guest rooms, this will not be good at all.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
At the moment, things are pretty bad, as Hermione has no idea how she got pregnant and what to do about it. I'll update soon. And thanks for reviewing!
Ha... Pregnant!!! Fantastic.... can't wait for the update!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
He's so good with the kids, I thought a pregnancy would come in handy ;-)I'll update soon. And thanks for reviewing!
The best 'laid' plans! LOL Really nice, I love that their together! I don't even feel bad for Ron. I must be a monster. I'm guessing Ron is still conherent enough to work that the she shouldn't be pregnant, n'est pas?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
No, you're definitely not a monster - it is only human to wish someone you like the best of luck, and it is obvious that Hermione is not happy with Ron anymore and he not with her. Ron would work it out. If she tells him.I'll update soon. And thanks for reviewing!
Wow! I can't believe I passed up this gem of a story, but now that I've found it, I'm hooked. Oh boy, so Hermione's pregnant? So much for her plan to hang in until Rose and Hugo are both safely attending Howarts ... never mind Ron's reaction, when Molly finds out she'll certainly be out for blood and revenge on her son's behalf regardless of the fact that he's apparently been cheating on Hermione for years. In that woman's eyes, her son could surely do no wrong while she seems convinced Hermione can do no right. I think Hermione's mum is right, she really should confide in George. Somehow I doubt if he'll be too surprised though ... he seems to understand her pretty well. And now I really can't wait to see what happens next!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Molly is indeed not a nice person in this story ;-) Nor is Ron, come to think of it - uncaring, cheating, unsenible. George though, is another thing. I'm currently trying to figure out if she tells him and what she will tell him and all. I'll update soon. And thanks for reviewing!Oh. And Carlos will be gobsmacked!
Great chapter...and WOW! Who ever saw that coming? I really hope this turns out well - and that Carlos doesn't freak. They both deserve a life together and so much happiness. Please tell me she didn't have a pity shag, or something equally insane, with Ron! He can get hit by a rogue bludger for all i care.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Weeell, she's definitely not insane, and Carlos never freaked out easily. So I guess your questions are answered ;-)Sorry, no bludger for Ron. But I'll update soon. And thanks for reviewing!
with this chapter i fell in love with carlos even more. this is definitely one of my favorites of the moment. i am eager to see how you get them out of this little conundrum. :) *hugs*
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Did I say I will? Can't remember that ;-)Thanks for reviewing, dear, and I promise to updated soon.
Response from kittylefish (Reviewer)
no, you didn't - i was making a HUGE assumption. because surely you wouldn't be mean and give them a sad ending, would you, dear author? *bats eyelashes*
Whoa! I didn't see THAT coming! Tell me that there's a happy ending. Please?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
*g*There will be a happy ending. Thanks for reviewing!
Youar are a marvel - I love this story! Do you have any idea how miserable sand is when you are haivng sex?! I believe you said 'sand everywhere' - are you nutz?! You have to be! It really hurt - I don't recomend trying it to prove me wrong!!!!!The rest is simply delicious! The kids are bloody brilliant and she's pregnant? oops.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I don't have to prove you wrong - I know how sand feels, even everywhere, but I know as well that water washes a lot off if necessary.*snigger* You were the only one commenting on that!Oops is precisely the word - she doesn't know how it could happen, as she used contraception spells.I'll update soon. And thanks for reviewing!
Response from beaweasley2 (Reviewer)
I doodled something... wanna see? It's for you...
Oops. Someone forgot their contraceptive charm! :)
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
No, she didn't. We are talking of Hermione here, dear. She would never forget sth as important as that, especially not when she's having an affair. At the moment, she tries to figure out what happened.I'll update soon. And thanks for reviewing!
Yikes! This is quite the twist! Wonderful chapter as ever. looking forward to more!!!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
More soon, I promise. And thanks for reviewing!
