Reviews for At the Beach
oh....how wonderful... I knew he wouldn't be able to hold back..... *sniff*
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Of course not! After all, he loves her. Although he hasn't told her yet *g*Thanks for reviewing and a happy new year!
A week to negotiate a single bottle of wine! Why, Hermione is marvelous when planning mischief. I wish them happiness so very much. I wish he could believe in her and find what he needs in her arms. I wish she would design a way to keep them together without consequences. Adultery or not. Let's just make them happy together. Well, you are making them happy, but my heart aches with wishing them so.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
This old Spanish muggle is hard to crack. She needs at least a week!Happyness for both of them - yes, I wish that for them, too. Unfortunately, this story is designed to be canon-compliant. Therefore, expect trouble soon. Thanks for reviewing and a happy new year!
Response from nata (Reviewer)
Canon compliant? How much more canon can it be with Rose and Hugo as Ron's and Hermione's children? The way I see this, the story is very true to canon. In fact, it seems to me that the story kind of ends here and requires only simple closure. I, personally, am satisfied with the solutions. They have admitted their attraction to each other and found a way how to be together. In my mind, it ends with the next chapter. Please, give it a consideration. There are too many stories out there that refused to end and dwindled to mediocrity.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
What, no endless happyness for them? Just a kiss and maybe a bit more and not a proper ending?? I'm afraid there are three more chapters and an epilogue. I cannot write those endless stories with 70 or more chapters, I must admit. I usually try to end the story when everything is new and fresh, but I want this story to end without too many open questions. I would be glad if you would tell me if it really dwindles into mediocrity...
Yay! I really thought she was going to be all business like, so glad she's not. But I do believe they have some unfinished business of a different nature hehe. Look forward to more as ever.

Definitely unfinished business, dear ;-) More in the new year. Thanks a lot for reading and reviewing!
How come I know that the next chapter is going to be interesting...? I loved this one, though: the way he kind of admitted to himself that he is in love. I guess he needed this time alone to realise it. And I can't wait to read what Hermione's been plotting.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I have no idea what you are talking about, dear !Thanks for reviewing and a happy new year!
Yes!!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
*snigger*Thanks for reviewing and a happy new year!
All his anticipation, self doubt, longing, and distraction for naught. He gets a week with her. Leave it to Hermione to creat the perfect ruse.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Despite of being married to a dunderhead, she's still the brightest witch of her age. Of course she found a way. Problem is, this story is canon compliant. So you can expect trouble soon. Thanks for reviewing and a happy new year!
Wow. I suppose I expected Hermione to pursue something on the sly, but it was still a shock to read it. I can't supress the nagging fear that this will bite her in the ass.....I love the characters that you've included from Carlos's life and the description of his bus ride.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Oh, yes, she'll get bitten badly. Not that she can do anything about it, but you can expect trouble soon. Just as a warning. Thanks for your words concerning the bus ride. I liked it when I wrote it ;-) In addition, thanks for reviewing and a happy new year!
Aw, that last bit brought a tear to my eye. Severus' determination not to be in love, admit to her that he was in love, let her worm her way into his life/bed, were all quite endearing. You know the man is trying to avoid heartache like the plague!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Hehehe, that she wormed her way into his bed is news to me, given the fact that he chased her like the falcon a rabbit ;-) But you are right, of course. She is in his life now, if he wants it or not (he does). Heartache will appear soon, though. Just as a warning. Thanks for reviewing and a happy new year!
ahhhhhh!!!!! snif!
that was beautiful!!,especially the end
=)
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
More to come soon, promise. Thanks for reviewing and I wish you a happy new year!
You have done an absolutely exquisite job of detailing his uncertainties, his hopes, his insecurities, his fears, and the wonderful great mess she has made by coming into his life and opening old wounds and finding his great heart. I love the fact that you have taken two characters we know very well and given them a quite plausible and actually very touching transformation into Carlos and Tessa. Their story is just lovely.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thank you so much! When I began writing this, I feard the change would be implausible. My beta warned me of strong reactions because I changed their appearance so much. So I am glad you like this story and even bother to review. Promise, I will update soon. And... have a happy new year!
Another lovely update, dear. I just adore this story!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thank you, my dear. I'm glad you liked it. Hope you had a nice christmas, and I wish you a very lovely new year!
*squee*Lovely chapter! I like Hermione's plan, and to have Severus pining over her is just heartwrenching. He is so afraid of what he feels, I think. And then to see her, he was probably thinking she is all business, that he didn't matter to her, but then he sees her shedding the outer shell, until it is just his Tessa underneath.I love this story! Thank you so much for sharing!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Hi!Thanks for liking this chapter - very Carlos centric and not much happens, so I am grateful for feedback. The next chapter will have a bit more action, sort of ;-)Hugs and I wish you a very good new year!
Yea! A week? That's great!!! Lotsa fun stuff can happen in a week ;)
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Hmmm, like making love at the beach?Have to think about it...Thanks for reviewing and a I wish you a happy new year!
Perfect. Now we just need to do something about Ron.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Ah. Ron. Well, he will continue playing Quidditch, he will look after the children every now and then, and he will have nothing to do with the trouble that will happen soon. Thanks for reviewing and I wish you a happy new year!
Oh, what torture to make him wait so long between letter and meeting!! But still, things must be carefully planned. So ... when are you posting the next chapter??
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
She had to persuade Ron to look after the children, she had to keep Molly off her back, and she did some worrying if she really, really should go. But you are right. One week is a long time if you wait for the one you love. The next chapter needed a rework - Dreamy told me it felt rushed, and who am I to argue with my beta? Precisely. I do what she says, especially because she was right. Currently, she enjoys her christmas break. I guess I can post the next chapter in about two weeks time. The rest should follow quicker, though. Promise. Thanks so much for reviewing, dear. I wish you a very nice, wonderful, lovely new year.
Response from notsosaintly (Reviewer)
Well, that is certainly much quicker than I post my chapters. :D It is better not to rush things. It leaves the reader wanting. So we'll wait patiently.
Alright, Hermione! You go, girl!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thanks for reviewing and I wish you a happy new year! More next year, promise!
Very neat. I liked how you wrote Mrs. Granger.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thanks! I only wrote about her once, and there she was more... old-fashioned. But I thought Hermione needed a hug and some good advice ;-)
that's our brilliant girl!! lovely update. thank goodness she's on her way back. thanks so much
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
*grins happily*Glad you enjoyed it!
Can I bow at your feet now or do you preferr grovelling for another update?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Oh, I'm quite fine with both, dear *g*Update before Christmas, promise. And be aware that this story might take some unexpected turns. Just as a warning... Thanks so much for your review!
Oh, what a brilliant witch she is! I am looking forward to (a) reading that letter she is about to write, (b) sitting in on the conversation I think she is going to have to have with Ron (her father did, after all, tell her to talk to him), and (c) seeing what exactly happens next on the wine-acquisition front. This is really exceptionally well done and very moving. Excellent work, my dear!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I can guarantee you a) and c), dear. I am not sure about b) though :-)Thank you so much for your review!
Ooh, I wonder how Severus will take this. On the one hand, it would allow Hermione to see him at least once a year. On the other, he has said that he doesn't sell the wine and although he would simply be ginving her a couple bottles, technically, she is trying to negotiate a contract for his wine. Hmmm.... I think the idea of seeing her again will win out. LOL
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
He doesn't sell his wine not because he doesn't want to, dear - he has no chance to sell it, as there aren't that many people on the island. You'll see how he reacts in the next chapter - if indeed the letter is for him -)Thank you so much for your review!
Oh, I like this--hiding in plain sight, sideways, sort of. Go Hermoine! Just hope Severus doesn't do something sad before she gets back to him. Also: Good thing he didn't try to follow her, he would have ended up on the wrong continent. That would at the very least have been embarassing. *face is beginning to hurt from foolish grinning, owwich!*
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
*snigger* Didn't even think about the problem of the wrong continent!Hope you'll keep grinning once the next chapter is up!
Oh THIS is the Hermione I know and love! THIS is my brave, clever girl. she's back and she's planning! I am thrilled.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Did you really think I'd keep her the grey, hushed little mouse I painted at the beginning? No way! Brave, clever, strong - this is the Hermione I like best, and yes, now she's back. finally. Concerning her plan - you'll see how Carlos takes it ;-)Thank you so much for your review!
Good for Hermione. I'm glad she took the time to discover what she wants out of life. I can't wait to see what happens next. I can identify with how Hermione feels.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
It was about time she made some decisions. I couldn't keep her sad and forlorn any longer. Thank you so much for your review!
Go Hermione! Looks like she's back on track, and how nice that she's making it happen herself and not waiting for another Mr. Right to rescue her. There's just more and more to like about your story. The characterizations really build up and draw the reader in. George is such a great addition, and the scenes with Hermione's parents had so much warmth. So, can you tell I really like this story?
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I have a big, happy smile on my face because of your review - thanks so much for letting me know you like this story! I needed her sad and lonely at the beginning; now she is herself again, a strong woman who makes her own decisions. She doesn't need anyone to rescue her. Just someone who loves her ;-)
