Reviews for At the Beach
I was holding my breath through most of this chapter, wondering how it's possible to be so tense while reading such a beautifully written love scene. But the little flashes of intuition you depicted in Carlos/Severus kept hinting at that last evil cliffie, and sure enough, there it was. Terrific job, even if I am screaming with frustration at the moment. :)
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Hmm, in this case I should warn you - the end of the next chapter won't do much to resolve said frustration ;-) Thanks a lot for your review. I wanted the love scene tender and nice, and it seems I managed it.

*Gasps* What a way to leave it. I knew that given enough time he would figure it out. Now the only question is, what will he do with that information? I really do love this story!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Thanks, dear!*hugs you*What you think he'll do? Back away, confront her, turn into the bastard he once was because she'd lied to him, or maybe just... hope? You'll see. Soon.

There it is, the ah,ha moment. I am so glad they made love first. Now they are more connected and wont run away as easily. Great chapter, you are very gifted.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
You just magicked a big, happy smile on my face - thanks for that!I wondered if it would work, they making love first without recognising each other. Then I though, If they haven't recognises each outher by now, why should they during love-making? I mean, it's not as if they'd know each other intimately ;-)Running away... Hmmm. Let me know what you think after you've read the next chapter!

Brilliant suspense. When is she going to find out? I love this plot, please update soon.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Soon. And that concerns the updating as well as the finding-out-question.Thanks so much for reviewing!

oh no what's he going to do!! In my opinion he should stay with her haha! Look forward to the update!x
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Well, it's not his decision, is it? She must decide wether she wants to stay with him or will go back home. I know what I would like her to do, but I also know what she will have to do.Thanks so much for reviewing!

Wow, what an ahha moment! I'm glad to see he finally recognizes her and I'm looking forward to when she recogizes him. Molly bloody Weasley. I was just thinking about her and Ron last night. He definitely gets it from her. Remember when Rita wrote about her, Harry and Victor in GoF? Molly acted like a bitch when she thought Hermione was hurting Harry, imagine what she'd do if it was her baby boy. Is it the pureblood thing about custody of the kids? Great chapter, still my favorite anything goes challenge story. Voted for you in the latest Potter Place Poll. So, naturally, looking forward to the next update.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Actually, Molly's reaction back then was the baseline for her character here. I considered it not unlikely that she is a dominant mother-in-law. I mean, the way she treated Fleur wasn't nice, either.I will explain the custody-problem in the next few chapters, but it is easy, really: the one with the magical background gets the kids. So nor really pureblood/muggle, but magical/non-magical history. Thanks so much for letting me know you liked this story enough to vote for it! And for reviewing, of course.

uh-oh. What will happen when the two worlds collide? Will she be the woman he fell in love with or will she be the person he knew and didn't like much so many years ago? Which is the better choice for happiness? Which is the better choice to avoid getting hurt?Great story. Very good pacing.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
There is no way for him to avoid getting hurt, sorry to say so. Concerning your questions - I believe it is not a good thing to build love on lies, so it's a good thing he found out. What they will make of it (if anything at all) is another subject. Thanks for reviewing!

*snigger* I do hope you are talking of Ron here, dear. Ron is definitely not the man for her. Carlos is. Thanks for reviewing!

Oh my GOD! Lol. Wow! Finally! I wonder how Carlos will take this information? Will he return to the bed cold and impassive, or will he be able to shrug it off?My, my, my. You have written a humdinger here. I cannot wait for more! Wonderful!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
It was about time he recognised her, don't you think? And he can't shake it off - she will recognise him, and then they can start dealing with it. Unless, of course, she decides to pack her kids and leave the island. Hang on - that's exactly what she will do!*grins evilly*Thanks for reviewing, dear!

Ouch! That was a very hard and large penny and it dropped right on my toe! ;-) Do I need to repeat for the umpteenth time that you write wonderful, lovely, perfect love scenes? Thank you for a brilliant chapter.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Hehehe, das kannst Du gar nicht oft genug sagen *lol*Don't you tell me you didn't expect it? It was about time he recognised her, after all the hints she gave (unknowingly). Sorry you've hurt your toe, and expect a mail with attachement in the next few days. Thanks so much for reviewing!

I am so happy to read your assurances to notsosaintly. I so want this to turn out well! And why would Ron get custody? He's been a jerk and an ass, no matter what she says of him (and Molly should be shot!).What an incredible, beautiful chapter. So much feeling and sweetness and pain. What will he do now that he has recognized her? Will he tell her? Will he reveal himself to her? What does the sunflower mean, and does the bracelet stop his magic or help cover up the Dark Mark (or does the tattoo help do that or is it gone)?I have so many questions, all of them because this story is wonderful and wonderfully told. My server was agonizingly slow this morning, and I had to wait much too long for this to download--but it was worth every moment of the wait. Beautiful job.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Please go back to my answer to nss and don't hang me afterwards ;-)Thanks a lot for your lovely review. I wanted the sex scene turn into a love scene, and now I believe I managed it... Concerning your questions, I will answer most (maybe even all) in the next chapter. He will talk, and she will listen. It is in queue, so hopefully, you won't have to wait too long.
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Reviewer)
I promise, no hanging (though I may strangle my annoyingly slow server!). I trust you to be gentle and sensitive, however things are resolved. *sob*And I am so looking forward to the next chapter--I want to hear whatever he has to say, and I want her to hear it, too.

This was quite the roller-coaster ride. I can't believe it took him this long to realize it! What will he do...

aaarrrgghhh! you've done a great job with this chapter. but - you are a cruel, cruel woman to leave us hanging at such a crucial moment. after all the emotional revelations, and the beautiful way you rendered their lovemaking, and when everything is feeling so right - kaboom! i hope you don't make us wait to long for the next chapter, with the fallout from this realization.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Oh, no, I'm not. Not in this story, anyway. The next chapter is in queue, and I guess a certain admin won't wait too long to crosscheck it ;-)Thanks for the lovely words, dear. Hope you'll like how this will continue!

What a beautiful intimate sex scene. I love how they came together slowly and built trust, Tessa seemed to come into her own with Carlos' cautious care. They seem perfect for each other as Tessa and Carlos, but what will happen now that Severus has realized who he's falling for. Oooh great chapter and I can't wait to see what happens next. :)
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
It's in queue, so you won't have to wait too long. I liked the thought of a cautious, patient Snape, they are perfect for each other, and as a warning, the next chapter will end with another bang... Thanks so much for reviewing!

Took him long enough! Now, when will Hermione recognize him?Very nice chapter. The bedroom scene was wonderful--you conveyed the emotional intimacy between them, which turned a sex scene into a love scene.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Well, that's easy - in the next chapter. For a change, he'll talk and she'll listen. Thanks for calling it a love scene - this is how I wanted it to turn out. And thanks for reviewing, of course!

Well about time he figured that out. Wondering how he's going to be... still caring or a bastard?? I feel bad that Hermione is in a bad relationship and can't (or won't) leave her husband. Can't wait to find out what happens.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Hmmm, what do you guess, given the way he treated her so far? BTW, I've read too many stories where he treats her like shit and she forgives him with a simple shrug of her shoulder. She's got one idiot in her life (is married to him, actually), she doesn't need someone who's cruel on top (and besides, my wonderful beta Dreamy_Dragon would kill me if I allowed him to behave like a bastard ;-)) Thanks for reviewing!

Oh, is it a painful realization. Will he be able to deal with it? Does he tell her? Does she figure it out? My heart is just breaking for them. Why does Ron get the kids, is it some pureblood rule? Why does she go by tessa? So many questions. How do you speed up the queue? The suspense is killing me!!!!!!!!!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
I have a slight feeling that you won't have to wait too long ;-) Most (if not all) questions will be answered in the next chapter. But it will end with a bang as well, just as a warning :-) Thanks so much for reviewing!

Brilliant! Excellent! Amazing! This is the moment I waited for for so long. Finally, she had revealed herself in a way that made him recall her and surely the bad things that drove him away in the first place. Now, I just wonder when she would join him in acknowledgment.
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
You are right, recognising her brings back a lot of bad memories. But then, he's changed, and the past doesn't scare him anymore. Next chapter will bring some answers. Thanks for reviewing!

First my heart melts at the simple beauty of the 'making love' part ... then my heart breaks over his denial and I want to weep that it's all over. It isn't over, is it? The next chapter is in queue, but I'm afraid to look ...
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
This is for you, love! I have written cruel stories (one, at least), but this is not one of them. It is a summer story, full of wind and sand and wine and love and you don't need to fear the next chapter. I truly hope you are not offended that I tell you that; I know a few of the other reviewers will read my replies and I don't want any fear out there. Not for this story ;-)Thanks so much for reviewing!
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Alright, I lied. A bit. The next chapter won't end nice. Just as a warning, but there is still no need for fear.
Response from notsosaintly (Reviewer)
Thanks for the warning. I'm sure those reading the reviews will be happy they aren't in danger of a disappointing ending. ;)
Response from chivalric (Author of At the Beach)
Weeeell, I didn't say there will be an ending everyone will be happy about, did I? After all, this is canon compliant... as much as possible, anyway, with him alive. Now I will not say another word. Promise!
Response from notsosaintly (Reviewer)
*snicker* I tried! Me, I like to write endings that shock my readers. Because I'm evil and sadistic a Slytherin at heart.
