I am a grateful fan of Ms. Rowling and of her overwhelming Byronic Character, Severus Snape! Please check out the first chapters of each fic (except for "How Can I Tell You," which is on Chapter 2) to see pictures of the Heroines.

Wow. Thanks for the update. Does he know about the knife? And what she was planning?
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
I think so, after all he knows how bad of she was. And I think that was what propelled him to be so honest and urgent about how he felt about her. Thanks,Livvy

Oh dear, this was quite disturbing. Poor Ginny must be more than mortified...

She won't have much time to think about it, actually. Things will be moving fast now. She has to face Voldemort after the potion is slipped to him and get the info on the location on all the Horcruxes, but yes-quite disturbing. Thanks,Livvy

I Loved this Chapter!!!! Woo-Hoo! I'm so frickin happy right now! Anyways. This was so great. I love how they're actually talking and starting to work through it. I love how Hermione was questioning him and even said she doesn't even really "know" him. So true and so amazingly well done. Much Love ~ Karen

Very intense chapter. And so well written to.I think that you have managed to write both Severus and Hermione brilliantly. When I read it I don't think of it as OOC, but more like a side of them we just never saw, or understood fully.I'm glad Severus has finally admitted his feelings. But I worry that Hermione will begin to doubt his words when she has time to think it over.I love your story and I can't wait for the next chapter.

Thank you! I fully give credit of the well writing to Shellsnapeluver, my beta :) I'm glad you like you are liking the story. Yes, there will come a moment where Hermione will doubt him and think he had lied to her, and Severus will have to deal with that.Next chapter will come up soon! Thanks!Livvy

As much as I appreciate the fact that at least one of them had the sense to stop while on the cold, hard dungeon floor ... I can't help but wonder if this will be viewed, by Hermione, once she's had the time to reflect, as Severus coming-to-his-senses or a subtle manipulation on his part. Will she see it as him actually having feelings for her or just trying to keep her from going to far with her cutting and possibly, accidentally killing herself? Due to those circumstances following him trying to push her away, he doesn't have time to properly 'court' her; which now has him rushing her. If I were her I'd be wondering what he was up to.Personally, I think a girl can tell when a guy is sincerely interested ... but she was desperate for his attention and he was just as intently desperate in the other direction. But, his intent is sincere. I'm glad you're writing it and have the web to weave or traverse safely, rather than me! Contemplating the possibilities could give one a headache!Did that make sense or have you driven me insane?
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Yes it makes sense. And there will be a scene where Severus will be insensitive to her - not on purpose, just because he's a man and can be a bit thick at times- but it will lead Hermione right to think she had been taken in for a fool and it all was a lie. Of course, he will have to go after her and explain because his intent is sincere and apologize, apologize, apologize! He does love her and will do anything to prove it to her. Thanks,Livvy

Woh, I would tell a lot of things about your incridebible fanfiction, infortunately English is not my native language.I'm going to Your story is so intense, I almost cry because of Hermione's despair, and sometimes (well no very often) I want slaughter professor Snape, it seems that people don't know sometimes words are more destructive than it's expected.I'm sorry I don't have all the words to say all I want to tell, but it's a great fanfiction.Good luck to write the following chapter, I'm eager to read it.

*hugs Severus* The man is finally coming around, showing Hermione the love that he feels. Hermione still has to see herself as beautiful and worthy of love. Good to see that Severus is going to be there for her throughout this process. Also interested in where you are taking Ginny/Voldemort plot. Intriguing!
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Thank you! Yes, it is good they are now communicating about how they really feel, but there is still much to resolve. I'm glad you like the contrasting relationship that is growing with Voldemort/Ginny.Thanks!Livvy

Action packed! I had to read it three times!!! I really like the direction it's taking. I also like the fact that there are a lot of layers to the two of them getting closer. Great story!

Now that was intense. I can understand how she feels. Yes, she wants him but, she wants everything and she is not willing now to settle for less. She realizes that she has let herself down as much as every man she has ever known and her parents.I applaud Severus' courage in handling her. He is being honest and laying himself bare. I hope in time she will appreciate the gift he has given her.

It will take time. Severus will have to do more to show Hermione his sincerity. Thanks,Livvy

Intense chapter, in definitely a good way. It was nice to see Severus bearing his soul to her. I'm sure that was incredibly difficult for someone like him. It was right for him to stop when he did with his affections, as Hermione's reaction after that showed that she still doesn't trust him. I know he took her comment about saying the word love and then forgetting about it as a reaction of a juvenile male mind, but even adult male minds do much the same. She is right to be nervous about their relationship and where it's going. That being said, he showed her his heart, and that will count for something in the future I think. She needs to continue to see this side of him, maybe not so demonstratively for now, but his love for her needs to be displayed. She's too fragile right now to take him at face value. That will be what helps to convince her that he is serious and not just trying to get a good shag.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Exactly. Severus' every move will be watched carefully by Hermione for any sign of dishonesty. It will be difficult when she realizes that he isn't perfect and that she needs to focus on what she has done to herself. Thanks,Livvy

This was an incredible chapter. She is still so fragile, I have to wonder about the wisdom of any relationship at this point. What will happen when they start to hit bumps? She won't be able to discuss this with anyone, will she? She is still a long way from okay.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
That is why it halted when it did. They also had to lay it all out on the line. Hermione, really needs to work on herself, accepting and loving herself. She is still a long way from okay, but she's going to have to do it solo. So, there aren't going to be anymore "interludes" for a while. At least thre was some baring of each other's souls, Severus letting her know how desirable he finds her, but wants her to be the one to call the shots. That is important for her to have some control as long as she doesn't abuse it. They will have to work it all out. Thanks,Livvy

Self-loathing is the root of so many problems... I know I struggled (still struggle, sometimes) with it, and it nearly cost me my marriage. Now that I have accepted myself for who and what I am, and what I look like, I am more at peace. And now no one can hurt me, unless I choose to let them.I hope Hermione can learn this lesson. And I hope Severus can help her, while he helps himself. Great chapter! This story is riveting. I am awaiting the next chapter!
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
You are spot on! Hermione must do this acceptance of herself alone. She cannot lean on Severus for her self-esteem. Whether or not a man loves her, she still has to knw she is still a person of worth. Thanks,Livvy

Another intense chapter. Things seem to be looking up for our couple. I know it'll be a slow process, but hopefully they work things out.

Hermione needed to hear that she had to like herself and forget what others said. I'm glad they were able to say what they wanted and how they felt about it. Hermione has a lot to think about first before deepening a relationship with Severus. Livvy, you are a very insightful and talented writer and I love your story.

Thank you. Things got a bit hot and heavy, but more will have to be worked out before that can happen again. It is especially important that Hermione learn to accept herself as she is.Thanks!Livvy

Interesting developments, and quite a turn around from Hermione's perspective. No wonder the poor girl is confused.

Well that was an emotional roller coaster. They both need to slow down a bit there's still too much *stuff* they have to deal with before they get physical, but I like the move forward. This was a big step for both of them.

I like that Severus did not take all the blame unto himself and that he confronted her with her part - more than 'part' part really as he didnt' hold that razor, but I really like that he accepted using words to hurt. I hope in turn Hermione will come to see just what he said - that although his words had hurt her, she physically hurt herself and no one else did that to her but her. I really liked the ending of this chapter too. What does Hermione really want? Is it just a fantasy or the rael man behind the teaching robes? I especially liked him calling her out on that and asking her if she wanted to exact revenge or if she actually wanted the man that is Severus Snape and all that comes with it.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Thanks. Because I think it is a valid question. This story mainly deals with perception, and we will get more of that with Voldemort and Ginny as well. As for these two, it has to be very clear about what they both want. Is is a dream, a fantasy built up in the mind with no room for changing? Or do they want the reality of the person with flaws as well as the ability at times to be even more than what they had hoped for? Thanks,Livvy

Thanks for another amazing chapter. He has certainly covered some emotional ground. His words and actions (on the dungeon floor) will certainly give her something to think on, too.But am I right in thinking that from here the general trend is positive?
