Normally I stay away from the darker stories and once I read the summary and warnings for this one I was undecided if I wanted to read. I read a few other short stories but this one kept coming to mind so I decided to give it a shot. Once I started reading, I was drawn in. I could feel all the emotions of the characters as I read. Fantastic job. This is an amazing story.

Brilliant update, I loved your "final battle", a much better version than the original one:-) I am also trilled that Hermione is back, no longer a victem, but on her way to find the strength in, and allowing her self to be;  smart, know-it-all, worthy of love! Yup, I really loved that part!!!

How very romantic.  This Severus may be a bit occ, but I love the way this story is unfolding, and who knows? Maybe Severus would have done things exactly as you have it played out.

If JKR had wrote book 7 like this it would have been so much better. This chapter was awsome. I know I keep saying this but the way you write all the people just come to life for me. Ginny and Snape and even Tom. You always make me feel like I'm right there with them and feel what they feel and experiance. Not many writers can do that as well as you do. I'm glad Hermione really sees that she needs to like herself so that she can begin to live her life for her not what other people want her to be, then she can find real happyness. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Nice chapter the sexual tension between Hermione and Severus is tangible as well as Ginny's fears (and justifiably so).  Lets hope Ginny doesn't have to sleep with Voldermort...and if she does lets hope she uses the act to gain control of him.

Hermione has become her own woman, and confident enough in who she is to give her whole person to Severus.  Bravo!I couldn't tell from one paragraph to the next what would become of Ginny, and for one moment I thought that she would betray her friends, and the next I thought Tom was going to overcome her mind completely.  Then Harry offered himself to the Dark Lord, and in so doing, Voldemort destroyed the the Horcrux within the young man and ultimately himself.  Brilliant.  Now Ginny and Harry can move on with their plans and their lives.Thank Merlin!  Severus' injuries were not fatal.  Madam Pomfrey was able to put him on the road to healing, and Hermione persuaded him to stay in the Infirmary until tomorrow.  Now we wait for the next update to witness Severus' wooing of the love of his life, Hermione.  Woot!!!I love it!Beth

Great chapter, I actually prefer finding out about a batlle after it has happened.

Phew – so glad Ginny got off the hook... Now do we get some fluffy epilogue???

So good to see Hermione finally taking the steps she needs to heal.  I think that was truly the biggest breakthrough she's made.  The battle was so intense.  I sat at the edge of my seat while reading.  Excellent job.  And I love how Severus went to Hermione first.  He truly has learned not to keep anything from her, and that will definitely make their relationship all the stronger.

oh, he explained that beautifully!  wonderful update but i have bad feelings about what ginny might have done with tom.  thanks so much and i look forward to the next chapter.

What a great chapter. i love the way Severus spoke to Hermione even if it is OOC and if he does what he says he will do he will be acting a fool for everyone to see. I do hope to seet that.

Wow I have really missed a lot being sick in bed for the last week and a half, and my husband would not bring me my computer ( I do not have a lap top ) I just stated talking to him yesterday for that. I dont know where to start about the last three chapters. You just know how to wright people so vividly that you make them come to life. Ginny's fear and revulsion at what she had to do along with Severus's instructions to her where riviting. Tom's wanting to posess Ginny was frightening. Hermione and Severus where tender and loving. I especiallly loved Severus telling Hermione he valued her and loved her enough to be someone she could love and want not only her body but all of her. well done as always, looking forword to the next chater.

Lovely chapter, I liked how Severus wants to wait and woo Hermione first. It's beautiful and moving. I can't wait to see what happens next. Yes, it could sound a little bit OOC for Severus if it was said in front of others but in the privacy of his home with the woman he loves, no, he's still a man with feelings. They've come a long way.

I'm glad Ginny is strong, she'll need to be in order to deal with Harry and the whole Voldermort situation.

This is such a good story and I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
