Eh, NOW I know where I've been getting the memory nudges in this story, it's one of the classic story types: Psyche and Eros, Isis and Osiris, or Beauty and the Beast, maybe.Very good! She's "burned" her shadowy husband with her lamp of revealment, and now she has to search for a way to win him back.Lots of good stuff, Southern. Good chapter!

wow, I just started reading this like two days ago and I absolutley adore how the story is progressing so far.  Malfoy's deception was so well played, I really didn't see it coming and I'm loving your portrayl of Snape here.  Please update soon! :)

Fantastic chapter. However, no matter what Severus says I have a tendancy to believe him. I am so confused. Is he just a brilliant manipulator who does not want to let her go because she is his possession? Or, did Hermione really choose to hide memories of her previous affection for her Professor and Severus loved her prior to the bonding? If that is so, why play this game with the Malfoys? What purpose could they possibly have--they have proved they hate his wife. If Severus truly loved Hermione, surly he would not want to subject her to the abuse from his so called "friends?"

I'm just glad you suffered no more than property damage although that is quite bad enough.  I am more surprised and pleased that you managed to update at all.  As for the ongoing, I'm all confused and disconbobulated.  Suddenly everything that was almost right seems to be not so right anymore.  Brrrr!  Well, the only thing wrong with life is that one has to live it chronologically, so if you must, you must...Welcome back.
