ooh, kicking The Book is not good. so what exactly was Lucius hiding from Hermione, and is Severus talking to Lucius in dreams as well? I continue to hope that Ron is off with another witch and will not write back to Hermione. Thanks for the new chapter!

There will be a little more revealed in the next chapter. Damn book.

This story is so creepy and absorbing at the same time! My stomach feels all weird after reading this chapter! Hermione has stepped over the threshold into the Dark Arts and the Tome won't let her jump back...very scary!Even though her last dream was somewhat reassuring, I think she's in over her head!I was wondering why Snape would choose to re-enter the world of the living using Dark Magic? Surely he would have learned from his past mistakes? Anyway, can't tell you how much I am enjoying this story! You are a very good writer and your plot is so compelling! Please update soon!!!

Very creepy. :) For now. Hehe I don't think Snape would be disappointed at the magic they've used to bring him back. I think he'd just be happy to be back and then... Well, you'll see. :) Thnx!

I love this story. The conflict that Hermione is going through, wanting to help Severus and trying to save her relationship with Ron, is making her think she is going insane. And Severus is just trying to help her see that what she is doing will make her life more worth while. Ron can stay with that lady if that is what he has been doing.

Thank you very much. The next chapter is up now. I hope you enjoy it.

I caught that little 'something niggling at the back of her mind' bit... I had thought earlier in this story that maybe there was a past with Sev and Hermione that maybe she somehow didn't remember... hmmm... then again, I could be completely off LOL I'll leave it to you dear author :)Great work!!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
LOL :) I have tried to explain a little more in the next chapter, but things won't fully come out for a couple. Hope you like it.

Oh, that was frightening, and scary. And sort of sweet, also.

Scary tome, nice ending dream sequence with Severus and the"My Hermione" was an enduring touch - I really love this so far.

Thank you! I appreciate that. :)

Yay for more Snape! I'm curious about what Hermione hasn't been told... Lucius has been very sneaky.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
She's not been told a good bit. Hehe

Enjoying this story. Maybe I've misread, but it seems fairly obvious that Severus and Hermione may have already had some kind of past that Hermione is not remembering - it was stated pretty blatantly in the story with the 'could something have happened that she blocked out' line. I just wonder what past that might be, considering sh ewould have still been a student at the time (and is a virgin) or if maybe somehow Sev. knew that she would be able to help him and they had already formed some kind of plan?? Either way, it seems Sev. and Hermione had some interaction prior to this encounter with the book.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
The truth behind that line was sometimes when people are abused sexually when children, they block it out, only to have it affect them or resurface later. This is why she thinks about talking to her mum--to see if there is anything that she's just not remembering, something that subconsciously would keep her from having sex. I'll have more about Hermione and Severus soon. :)
Response from Mazzy (Reviewer)
Ahh.. way off as usual LOL. Well, I still love this story and I can't wait to read more about Sev. and Hermione - Sev seemed to be getting a little "friendly" with her in her dream :)

I totally think I've guessed who you are! I continue to love the story. Poor Lucius, he really wants Narcissa back. And sort of poor Ron too who is doing his very best to be patient and understanding. I'm getting a vibe about this Jeri person though. Hopefully that won't go all crazy and unpleasant because it would probably really be the best for everybody.
Now for some fun coincidences that I thought I'd share. I'm listening to iTunes as I'm reading and I had a couple of soundtrack-y moments.
Britney Spears - Toxic: The first time Lucius looks at her breasts. It was right on the chorus too. It just fit SO well with the story. :p
Vaya Con Dios - Don't Cry For Louis: The second time it happened when he asked her to stay the night. (Girls, don't cry for Louis, he wouldn't waste a tear on you...)
Linkin Park - What I've Done: Right at the end when she contemplates the Darkness of it all and what it might cost her.
*shrug* I thought it was funny, so I decided to share. :) Maybe I'm the only one who sees the connection.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
Hahaha, am I busted? I wonder! I have so many things planned, but I can't really say much. There will be more Jeri.Let me just say that I love the soundtrack you have here. Bwahahaha...~now I have Toxic on the brain~
Please, please, please update soon! This is so addictive!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
I'll update later today! Thanks for reading.
So does he really like her or is she just another fling? And Severus will he ever come back to life? Harry needs to get a life and leave her's to her. And Ron will probably hook up with the chick since Hermione isn't putting out.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
Severus will indeed come back. Harry's just concerned like a nice little bloke. There's more from Ron in the next chapter! I can't really say about Lucius. ~smile~
So the book has Hermione resisting Rons advances (thank goodness!). It sounds like this book has a lot more planned for her. I love that we saw a hint of the old/real Lucius in this chapter, I want so badly to shake Hermione and warn her to be careful. You are doing a wonderful job weaving this tale and I can't wait to read more.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
Yep, that's one wicked book. It totally has so much more of a role in this story. As far as Lucius, there will be more of the real him to come. :)
NOOO!! You can't just leave it there!! I would never have expected Lucius and Hermione to get along so well! I'm dying for more!! The dreams that led her to the book, the painting, all these clues and the wonderful buildup! More . . . we must have . . . more . . . I don't remember who said it but, "Things are going to get a lot worse before things get a lot worse!" (I could picture Hermione saying it, backed into a corner with Lucius, wands drawn dramaticaly.)
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
I hope you like what I have in the next chapter. Bwahahaha. Things will go South for a bit. Hehehe. But they will find a way back to good again. Thanks for reading!
"Come to my parlor," said the spider to the fly! That is how I see your Lucius! Can't you just see his wheels spinning, being nice to lure her in--right where he wants her!Just like him to use her by any means necessary to get what he wants!Love this! Can't wait for more more more!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
Very much. I'm so happy that you are seeing through that. I think the more I go, the more it will be apparent. I still hope to shock some though. Thanks.
Ooh, creepy! I wonder what dark and mysterious deeds Hermione and Lucius will have to perform to bring Severus back from the dead. It appears that Hermione and Lucius are fascinated by each other, but I am curious as to whether Severus might somehow come between their new relationship. I am looking forward to learning what the book(s) have to tell Hermione about death and the changing of such.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
There's so much more that's going to happen. :) Severus does have things to say about what's going on once he's back.
Merlin, you made my skin crawl (in a good way) in this chapter. Update soon please!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
Oooh, that's a good thing then! Hope you like what's coming!
Well, I do believe Hermione is in way over her head. I believe your Lucius is really out of character, but I like him, so I'm not going to worry about it.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
I have seven long chapters written of this, and the Lucius we all know and love does appear. You know how he's smooth and gets what he wants (talking the Ministry folk into things they shouldn't do, etc.), and after book seven, I'm certain he's a loving man towards his family. He seemed a bit tame to me. So I'm taking advantage of that for now. I wish I could tell you more to defend my choice of characterization, but I just don't want to give anything away.
Oh, now there are two books about bringing back the dead. But what will Hermione have to do (sex of course) but with whom? up date soon... please?
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
I am pleased you like it. For the potion, she will have to, yes. That will become known soon. Thank you for reading.
Pls give us all the details of L/H, too, even if it's to end as S/H! I'm rather partial to L/H and I know I'm not the only one! I like the slow development and the hints getting stronger - very curious to see the rest. Some lemons with L/H would be nice. I suppose that´s where the much-needed virgin's blood comes in?
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
Thank you very much for that. It was a little disappointing that someone would think less of the story because of the Lucius aspect. He's a major player here. I'm happy you like it. ~smile~
Response from HannahSmith (Reviewer)
BTW, I don't think Lucius is very OOC - being a Slytherin, he could rise to any occasion. As a true opportunist, he wouldn't hesitate to consort with a Mudblood for the greater good, i.e. in order to retrieve his best (only?) friend; and even enjoy it while it lasted.
I like the way this is slowly sucking her in. A step here, a book there, a kind word from Lucius and presto! Dark Arts Hermione.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
You got it! Before she realizes she's there, it'll be too late, huh?
This story is so mysterious...
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
That's what I'm trying for in these first few chapters. Thank you
This is so interesting and I look forward to reading more.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
Thank you so very much. I appreciate that a great deal. I hope you like what I have now.
I think my hope for this to turn out to be SS/HG is in vain. But I'm enjoying the story anyway.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
Actually, this will be an SS/HG, but there's a Lucius part first. Do you think I should mention that in my notes? I didn't know people would hate it because it's not happening right away. I'm trying to build up the back story.
Response from KingPig (Reviewer)
I don't think anyone hates it? I love it! I'm just still a little wary of a nice Lucius, lol. If you want to, you can put it in your notes, just so die-hard SS/HG people don't get discouraged. But I love the story, and am very intrigued by it. I certainly don't hate it.
Oo oo oo! This was a good chapter! I do wonder if Lucius is all he seems, though...
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
That's what I hope many people are asking themselves. Thank you so much.
You're leaving us hanging! I hope the next chapter is soon!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Breaching the Otherworld)
It's going to come up tonight or tomorrow at the latest. My beta is reading it now! :)
