Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

Reviews for The Plight-Trothed Bride
Thank you Bea for this update and for this story. I have loved every word from the first chapter. I hope Hermione or Severus will listen to their heart and one of them gives in and signs that confirmation. I think its turned into a game of "you go first." I also wonder who will put two and two together and figure out it was the Moonsong spell that healed Severus?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. I really appreciate the support. Oh, the spell didn't heal him, the potions did, but it did wake him up. He was still recovering but awake and alert. Things will get interesting now they are 'in the caslte' and there will be 'talking'. and such. DOn't expect him to be too much of a 'good boy'. lol He knows all the corners. snerk. He is going to woo her back.Thank you for the review and the pretty stars.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHAAA ANOTHER CHAPTER!!!!! TY POOR SNAPE BUT HE"LL LIVE, AND OOOO HERMIONE HAVING NAUGHTY DREAMS HEHEHEHEHEHE I LOVE IT!!! THANKS!!!!!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
YEP, ANOTHER cHAPTER FOR YOU!!! YEP, I DIDN'T KILL HIM OFF (I wouldn't do that!) YES, SHE'S MISSING HIM. lol THANK YOU FOR THE REVIEW AND THE LOVELY STARS.
Hermione really doesn't like the celebrity, does she? Poor Severus.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Nope, it's a bit much to take, sudden fame. lolThank you very much for the review and the lovely stars.
Boy, the kids at school must be driving Hermione crazy. If I were her, I'd move in with Severus just to get away from them... Then enjoy the fringe benefits of his presence. I bet he'd be glad to finish what her subconscicous had started in her dreams!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, sudden fame can be pretty tough to take! Oh, he'd love to have her move in and help her er, finish. lol Thank you very much for the review and the lovely stars.
A small justice in having Maggie sworn to confidentiality, finally something's been done to curb her wagging tongue! I'm suprised no one's commented to her on all her claims of Harry and Hermione's infidelity. Does she watch all couples this closely? Is it Severus invoking Hermione's dreams now that he seems to be thinking along the line that the Bonding had something to do with his first recovery? Interesting that the dreams seem to be pulling Hermione to Severus this time around...Should be iteresting to see what happens when she visits Severus! Looking forward to the next chapter!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yeah,
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
, it is a small bit of justice. Some times the samll things hurt most. lol The dreams are hers. They are different than the 'drawing' part of the spell. They feel different.Oh that part is coming up! Thank you very much for the review.
Well circumstances have definitely changed several of Hermione's perception of certain situations. *grins* If I were in her shoes, I'd be glad to take up residence in the Headmaster's chambers just to get away from all of the staring. Even if that caused another type of staring and whispering! It's always interesting how we don't appreciate some things until they are almost forcibly taken from us. At this point, I get the feeling that even if the status of the Bond has been tampered with by the curses and the counter for it, Hermione may end up accepting her marriage and even fighting for it.As for Maggie, she really doesn't understand that she only has her job on the Minister's sufferance at this point. It's a shame that Rita would continue to prey upon a person like that, but that's Rita for ya.I'm glad to see Hermione requesting leave to visit Severus. I look forward to their interactions. I wish you happy writing as always.~

Oh, yes, certain perceptions have been changed and the celebrity aspect is only one of them. lol
Oh, once again I’m asked about the Bond. But I can’t tell you… yet.
Oh, yes! She is in for a rude awakening. And Rita—she’s a source. Rita does not = scruples.
Yep, She’s gonna go see him. lol
Thank you very much for the review and the pretty stars. Back to typing for me!
Loved the names of the healers. Very inventive. I liked how you incorporated the bite from Nagini into Severus' recovery.Hopefully everything will die down at the castle and Hermione can finally lead a some what normal life.Hope these two get together next chapter. (hint, hint)xxxx0000
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. Oh, you know, I couldn't help myself, the snake bite was rather tramatic. A normal life - oh, how she'd love a normal life. lolYes. They will. sort of... yes.Thank you very much for the review,
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
. Hugs~
Very nice. Did the curse have any effect on the bonding?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
I can't answer that yet! But I'm glad you liked the chapter.
Thank you for the update!I enjoyed the dynamic between Hermione and David in this chapter. Particularly when David gave Severus a dressing down for his chastising Hermione. What impact will Severus' "dying" and resuscitation have on their bonding?Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are very welcome, sweetie.Yes, she was able to be herself - researching something nad solving a problem - in her element. David was fun and I liked his chastizing Severus as well. the gall of that Healer!Oh, I can't answer that! yet. But you'll see...Thank you very much for the review and the pretty stars.
sounds like they have a good case built up, they just need their defendant to cooperate in his own defence!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, Snape just has to agree to cooperate...
Good chapter - the testimony that they gave was interesting and well thought out. I loved the comparison of the Malfoys at home and Severus in jail. I think that shows the total injustice of the whole situation. Cannot wait to see what happens next.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. Yes, the innocent is in Azkaban and the guitly is wandless, and under house arrest in a manor. The next chapter is in queue!
He could certainly have done all of that and more. Canon is pretty sketchy on Sev's actions in 7th year, so I'll go with whatever you proffer. After all, Sev is the real hero of the Potterverse, without him, no story at all. Cool chpter. Many thanks.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. I appreciate your support. and You're welcome. I hope to have the next one up any day now - it's in queue.
I liked this chapter and I absolutely agree with you that Severus very well could have done these things to protect his students. I will not give him credit as a decent husband yet, I hope that will change before the story ends, but he does absolutely deserve the credit for being a brave teacher/headmaster who did his best to secure the safety of his students. Update again soon.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. Yes, he was a brave and caring teacher/Headmsater (in my eyes) and I write him as such. However as a husband - so far he is really a snot, prick, , wanker, sod... did I leave any out? AND yes, I do plan for him to get better at it (being a good husband) if Hermione doesn't dump him first and try and hook it back up with Ron. (I could go there - but YUCK why would anyone ...) Sorry, got side tracked. But I do and did check off Romance (I think I did?) so, I suppose I had better think of how to get him straightened out. Huh?
Thank you for another great chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are very welcome.
I didn't think Hermione was so ambivalent still. I thought she yelled at Severus to motivate him and that their encounter showed promise. Anyway, I love the way these friends band together to accomplish a goal. I think Kingsley would be a good Minister of Magic.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you for the reveiw. One little scolding, followed by a bad visit by two aurors and nervous MLE and well... you'll see. She will just have to go back and convince him some more...won't she?
Response from Maddie (Reviewer)
Ah, when you are right, you are right.
congradulations!4th place!Thay have to let Severus off or at least realise him to be in Hermiones care.Hope you can update soon.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much! I'm working oon releasing him, but so far the stubborn guy is being difficult!! Update will be posted to queue this weekend.
(nods head) yup, sounds like stuff Severus would've done as Headmaster that year. Acromantula venom - ugh, I wouldn't have taken the job of collecting it! I suppose the kids will have to testify for the Malfoys, who did save Severus' life. thanks for the new chapter! Free Severus!!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. Well, if the spider is dead - I suppose collecting would'nt have been too hard. But yes, drinking some of it? even in a potion... yuck. You'll see, yes, the Malfoy's will want anyone and everyone to vouch for them...I'm working on freeing him - but so far he's not coperating very well! Stubborn guy!Thank you for the review - I hope to update this weekend!
Trust me Bea, I doubt anyone will have a problem with the canon liberties. Actually, I think the added information makes sense and adds to the story. Great job as usual!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you, Sinbad. I just didn't want anyone to nit-pick me on it, so that's why I added that bit. So far no one has minded. *whew* Well, back to typing....
I really like how you've shown Kingsley here. And Luna and Neville are just adorable! Thanks for a great update.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. I have so little canon on Kingsley to go on, so I'm winging him! I'm glad you like Luna and Neville - I think they are cute together. I'll be sending the next chapter to queue today - I hope!
I'm glad they are all willing to testify on Severus's behalf. But yes, I agree, the Malfoys at home and Sev in Azkaban is really not fair.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL yes, well life is rarely fair... But it's good to know he's got influencial friends - Sev, not Malfoy. Malfoy has $$ - that's not the same thing.Thank you very much for the reveiw.
Thankyouthankyouthankyou. That was such a long dry spell.I love it that once their eyes were opened, the kids admit they were wrong big time and rally to the defense with the same intensity they used to overthrow the "Tyrant of the Dungeons." Hope it's not too little too late.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are welcome! I'm so sorry! I'll try to do better! I promise!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
OOps, and yes, well, they didn't have as much information then did they? Right a wrong, my dad used to say!
Great chapter! Thank you very much, I really enjoyed it!gab
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. I'm glad you liked this.
Things look good for Severus.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Only cuz I want them too!Thank you for the reveiw.
another fabulous chapter to your oh-so-compelling story. i always get a little choked up by scenes involving enumerating all of snape's covert actions on behalf of the right side, and especially to protect and aid the students during that last year. (you, yourself have been responsible on more than one occasion for the lump in my throat! - i'm thinking of the potions masters amalthea here.) i guess i'm conflicted about the malfoys, because in this story they saved snape, which is a big plus for them, but other than that, i have no love for them, really. anyway, i'm looking forward to seeing what comes next!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you so very much. I actually cannot beleive Snape didn't do all this - and more... So I do paint his term as Headmaster as one in which he was still trying to protect the kids. I mean why give Neville's detentions for his DA activities to Hagrid in the book if he wasn't still on Dumbledore's side? I believe he's a good guy deep down.As for the Malfoy's - be conflicted - I am. I'm drawing from the few Severus-Lucius scenes where they are interacting, Nacrissa's coming to him for help, and Draco's friendly regard of Severus to think they'd been friends for years. Also, the end of the book the family all huddled together was very touching for me, and I'd like to think that they knew that they had been wrong. New era - time to face facts, kind of thing. A personal revelation of sorts, but not without their spots...Anyway, as always I love reading your reveiws. You are very encouraging and I appreciate it.
I'll be glad when all this non-sense is over and Severus and Hermione can get back to the issue at hand lol - are they or aren't they going to give it a go? :)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Now you can't expect me to answer that, are you? I'm getting there. (didn't I check off romance... hummm)
