Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.
“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”― Maria Montessori
“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.” ― Carl Sagan

You are most welcome. Thank you for reading and for the review.
Aw too bad for Blume getting punished because of Hermione's stubborness.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Blume will be all right. He'll have detention, but no harm will befall him. besides, Severus will be quiet busy and so he won't have a lot of time to supervise these detentions. Thank you for reading and for the review.
I've always enjoyed this particular chapter because I like Talfryn so much. Great job.

Yes, Talfryn was a fun character to write. Thank you for the review,

, and for the stars.
Your story is proceeding very well. Ron gloating, Neville doing what he's best at... Also Augusta ruling her grandson's future is nicely in canon LOL. The Order has installed itself very well in the Ministry, now let's see how they pull Severus out. Finally he's cooperative!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Teehehe Thank you. Yes, Ron's being a prat. Neville is really fallen for Luna, and Augusta has taken Luna under her wing - as much as Luna allows ther to, that is. Yep, the Order has stepped in and filled some shoes, and Sverus is being coperative. Finally.

Well, NEWTS are officially done, so now all Severus and Hermione have to worry about is his potions validations and their wedding. I think things will be much better without all that added stress. I also loved their reaction to Hermione inventing a new potion. I don't doubt it will work. Severus, Hermione and Ginny are well on their way to being the top potioneers, but I'm biased.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You're right, only validations and a wedding or two. I'm glad you liked the reaction to the Troll Wart Potion. Accidents and happy mishapps indeed. Thank you for reading and for the review.
IS THERE ANY UPDATES FOR THIS STORY?

That chapter made me far more hopeful for them.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you.
This was an interesting chapter. Yes, you did get them in bed. They are making slow but sure progress in their relationship. Thanks for updating!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much. Things are going in the right direction, a bit slowly, but moving along.
I only discovered your story now, and found it wonderful. I know it is about Hermione and Snape (again), but it would have been fun to read what happened to Ginny and Luna in this chapter. Specially the latter, which would be hilarious, I'm sure. Maybe for one-shot stories? Please?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You know, you're right. I'll think about that.
A very good chapter. I am glad to see the relationship progressing slowly. Why is Hermione getting attacked and not Harry? I think I have an idea about that....to get revenge for Severus' part? Hmmmmmm I wonder?Great job!!!!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much, kimbee. Very good guess...
But, lemons would have ruined the effect. They need stepping stones - and you gave us some lovely relationship development. Nicely done showing how she's breaking down his walls and how he understands what she is doing.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. Yes that is exactly what his chapter was, stepping stones and a start of a foundation.
yup, it's a start. (sigh of relief!) I think her parents and grandparents might have been more understanding of Severus; surely, her folks had a few patients who were poor and had similar backgrounds to Severus'. Herms really doesn't understand that he had a tough childhood and that he isn't just drudging up the worst memories -- it's all he had. I don't understand why she doesn't have an alarm charm to tell her when it's time to meet him. and after at least two attempts on her life, I wish she'd be more careful. she's not very bright for someone so intelligent, as Severus realizes. btw, is anyone going to get Dragen? thanks for the new chapter!!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you, June. Yes, a start. YOu are so right on these points. But even Harry, who didn't have a great childhood had a few good memories. Hermione is only trying to conect with the guy and talking and reading are how she finds out things. Seveverus knows how to 'show' how he feels, but he's so used to hididng everything that it's hard for him to open up - has to do with trust.
I'm truly glad they're finally doing something right. It was sad how they were always antagonizing each other.Eagerly waiting for more of your story! Thanks!

. I'm trying to get them together with a nice healthy realtionship. But things are improving.
I know that I'll probably come off as a terrible person, but you did a wonderful job of characterizing Hermione's thoughtlessness and how it's finally starting to hit her. Canon!Hermione was very thoughtless in my opinion. She never really considered the consequences of her actions. I think that Umbridge was a horrible person before Hermione's actions, but how much can we attribute her starting up the Muggleborn Registry as a specific revenge for Muggleborns because of Hermione's ruse with the Centaurs. The Centaurs didn't appreciate being used either. She wasn't very sympathetic to Marietta Edgecombe either when it came to that curse she put on the DA parchment that left the girl scarred. Marietta had the same problem as Draco, on a lesser scale - her mother's welfare was threatened. So, in a way, it's nice to see your Hermione shaken about the man she'd killed in self-defense. She's growing up a bit.As for Severus? Yay! Go, him! He did a wonderful job in containing his annoyance, his desire, his longing. The girl really pushed his limits in this update. Forgetting again about the date, making dinner a bit difficult by prying, almost getting herslf killed because she still can't get a clue about her being a target. I think he's starting to show potential. Was glad to see the update. I wish you once again - Happy writing!~

Arynwy, I very much like your interpretation of canonHermione. I think you see her in a way few do.Yes, I am trying to get this girl to grow up and mature, in the same way making Severus realize what being in a relationship is all about. I have two very confused people to reconsile, one know-it-all-thoughtless and a selfish-low-selfesteemed-abuser. Gads! But there is progress, I am making progress. If only these two would cooperate more!Thank you very much for reading and the fun review.
I was holding my breath at the end. I'm actually glad this was a tame chapter. She needs to learn to trust him. I love your stories and whichever one I'm reading is my favorite.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Wow, thank you. So you think this was a tame chapter? LOL Yes, she does need to learn to trust him, but he has to give her time to build it too. Too much has happened between them, but they are moving forward.
It' was so nice to see Severus being so protective over her.

Thank you so much for another great update. I am so happy you saved Hermione in this chapter in stead of having the drama over several chapters, very well done. I also loved how Hermione and Severus are even closer after this incident, I love it when their love are in the open:-))
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
It didn't need to be drawn out. It's the realization that Severus is a formidable fighter, that he would kill anyone who'd hurt her, and that he's a truly formidable fighter, that Hermione needed to see, and his tenderness once he’d freed her, the way he carries her and treats her is telling too. I’d move a mountain to save you – it’s another ‘I love you,’ from a guy who still has difficulty saying it aloud. (except in the bedroom – that doesn’t always count to some girls) Plus you now know the Bond is strong between them, both can actively feel it and can reach out to the other. And most of the last Voldemort supporters, Dragen’s men are apprehended or dead. But this is the psychological study of how this relationship grows, matures and evolves, so everything that this rescue needed to do was done, realized and confirmed between them. It brought them closer than ever before and cemented the relationship. He's even tolerating her friends well. Thnak you for reading and for the review.
Very nice chapter! I love that the dynamic between Severus and Hermione is greatly improving. Love the teasing between them. Can't wait for more!

Glad to see Hermione calling him out on his behaviour and spelling it out to him that it's unacceptable and detrimental if he really wants to have a full and proper relationship. Well done!Looking forward to reading the next chapter!

Interesting ending...I'm thinking the spell is giving them a nudge toward each other, since they both don't want to admit they kinda like each other. Nice chapter. Can't wait for more!~Jen
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
The spell was consumated. Hermione is having dreams of Severus, but they are real dreams not like the ones she shared with Severus under the pull of the spell. And yes, she isn't yet admitting that she kinda likes him. lol Thakn you very much, and thanks for the review and pretty stars.
Ooh, lovely twists! Glad to see things progressing so well between Severus and Hermione!

Love how Blake jokes with Hermione about Severus's possessiveness towards her.

Thank you. Not all seriousness with that one. Besides, he's gotten to know her thanks to the class assignments. Thank you for reading and for the review.

Poor Hermione. All that unwanted attention when all she wants to do is catch up on her work. :)
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
LOL Yep, sudden fame or celebrity status can really be tough to take. But like Harry, she'll deal with it. lol Thank you for the review, sunny. Hugs~
