Hermione, Ginny and Luna, sharing a girl moment, decide to cast a Pairing-Plight Troth Charm on themselves for fun. Each placed in the cauldron one yesterday-today-and-tomorrow flower with sugar and spice and everything nice, and a snip, a snail and puppy-dog tail as they each said the rhyme. For Ginny, the results are exactly what she expected, and for Luna, she was only mildly surprised. However, for Hermione, the results were disastrous! She thought she’d be paired to Ron and live happily ever after. So what happened and why is she seeing Professor Snape in her dreams? He’s dead – isn’t he?

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

Reviews for The Plight-Trothed Bride
Thank goodness Severus took Lucius's words to heart and he let up on the selfish sex. Great, now he has been arrested.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Severus would normally be like he was in the dreams (if he wasn't a pissed off git) just like Luna and Ginny keep assuring Hermione. Lucius just reminded him he's being a git and to knock it off. And yes, a slight complication.Thank you for the review.
This is a fabulous fic. I'm looking very forward to the next chapters. You have a wonderful talent for writing erotica.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you so very much. *blushes* I'm glad you are enjoying this.
Response from Dancingkatz (Reviewer)
There needs to be a word that means enjoying but raised by an exponential degree. That would describe how your descriptions of hte dreams and the actual sex make me feel as I read them. Also, I meant ot tell you that I love what you're doing with Lucius and Narcissa. I think these characterizations are wonderful. It is so nice to see them behaving as a long-married loving couple instead of two ice-beings who married for political or financial reasons only and who barely tolerate each other. And the friendly advice from Lucius to Severus... absolutely priceless!(I really should have started reading this much earlier in the evening but it was well worth staying up past my bedtime to finish reading)Ad I meant what I said about your talent.
Well he is definitely not like his dream but he does have the capacitiy to be. Oh crap, they have caught him - what happens next... good chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
No he isn't like he is in the dreams, he's acting exactly as my boyfriend said he'd act/and as I think canon Snape would react. Considering the love he carried for Lily all those years, Sev has the capacity to love very deeply.Yes, he's been caught... Jail and the trial.Thank you for the reveiw.
Damn Ron. Rawr. I like that Severus is coming around... even if it isn't because of purely good intentions, but then he wouldn't be Snape, would he? :) Keep it coming. You've got something good going here.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Ron kind of got caught grumbling in front of the wrong person - it's Rita who was spilling the beans and Ron was asked to confirm. He knew better than to lie to Darthmyer!Yes, Severus is just beginning to come to terms with this Bonding. and now... he's caught and in jail. Poor guy. Dead, not dead, sexy dreams, Bonded - jailed.I'll send you his reaction and Hermione's in the next chapter asap Thank you very much for the reveiw.
I never thought I would ever say this, but I guess in the Potter Multiverse anything really is possible: Thank goodness for Lucius Malfoy, the Voice of Experience and Reason. Finally, a chink, a chip in the wall! Severus is finally (eventually true but nevertheless finally) going to ... well, what? That's the question. Since when has olde Rito Mosquito been an auror? Do the wizarding police and press have a better working relationship than press and police in the muggle world?
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Isn't that half the fun? I hope I didn't go too far off the known Potterverse? But this prompt is so fun to play with.I simply wanted Severus to have a friend on his side, someone who he could talk to - and talk some sense and give it to him straight. Hermione has a clan - he needed someone.Yes, Sev was finally starting to realize he'd been a jerk and *bang* he lands in jail. Poor guy.In regards to Rita, the Aurors probably made some kind of deal, exclusive scoop and possibly (?) for her imformation. She's still a reporter and NOT and Auror. she's raising trouble, digging for juicy news and gossip.
Nice chapter. It does seem like Severus is starting to come around. Malfoy must be a good influence.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, Severus was starting to come around. I have Lucius as a good friend and close enough to say what he thinks, even the blunt truth. I have Lucius as he would be to those of influence, the Ministry, of power and close friends. I wanted to make him dimensional - outside the way we see him in the books, arrogrant, cold, you know. So as a friend, yes he is Severus' influence. Hermione has Gin, Harry, Luna, Nev, George, etc... I wanted Sev to have someone... He's gonna need it.
well ron is really gonna get it i cant wait to see what happens next wondeful story lemons and a plotkeep up the good work thank you
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you - yes loads of lemons, some sweet - some sour but still yellow! Tryin' to have a plot - since it didn't start out that way! Teehehe
well snape well just have to wait for a shag o well but this doesnt bode well for hermione and i know rita is comming back she got the info she wanted
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, Severus get's shagged in the next ... oops. Hermione will explode - no, not the messy kind!Rita is going to write a book a best seller even if she's got to fabricate a few facts!Harry is gonna surprise you - he's been busy!Kingsley rocks!Poor Seveie thinks he's gonna rot in Azkaban...
i loved this chapter so it wasnt all lemons but i would have rather seen rita in a jar again lmao you are doing wonderfully with this story
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you very much
ok there is the serveu i was expecting i mean i kind of feel bad for hermione but she asked for it by doing a charm she didnt know bout
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yep - the real man - the real package and he's pissed. Hermione didn't know what she was getting into and is now simply trying to make it work out. But things will work out - eventually.
wow and i thougth hed be hexing her 6 ways to sunday o well shows what i know lol thank you for another wondeful chapter
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Nope, he isn’t suddenly Mr. Romantic, but he’s definitely curtailing in the hexes! Thank you for the review.
well lets see he has let the dreams plauge him longer than i thought he would we will see how the actually meeting goes tho somehting has got to happen lol nothing can go this smoothley but i am enjoying the story
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Thank you. He may have the entire Malfoy library at his disposal, but he hasn't found the right book - yet! Or has and discounted it as not probable. ?
ok well serveus will be in for a shock when he finds out what hermione did oops all is fair in love and war and how did they save serveus just curious
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, he is. And yep, all is fair in love and war – might as well go for fire! I didn’t go into how the Malfoys saved him yet… There will be a LM - HG moment (not sex - get your mind out of there!) and he'll tell her.
very cool and lemons yto start with wow i am going on to the next chapter yjank you for another story i can get lost in
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
You are most welcome! Thank you for the reveiw.
Ron deserves whatever he gets, and I like that Lucius is telling Severus to behave.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Ron is going to have a rough time, besides lose the girl. Yes, I'm having fun with Lucius. I wanted to show a side of him we don't get in the books - Lucius with a friend, the man that people who are friends or are influencial see.
Oooh, Hermione is going to be ma-aad when she finds out what Ron did. . . hee hee hee!I'm glad Severus is getting more used to her, and that he and Hermione are getting to know each other a little more. Can't wait for the next chapter!~Katie
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Oh you better believe it!!He is somewhat becoming accepting to the fact that they were Bonded. He does know what it means - he just doesn't like it - being trapped in this without it being his decision.I'll be posting again asap.
well, i'm glad you had snape finally soften a bit - i was getting mighty tired of his attitude. i know he's angry, but hermione is a human being, not an emotional punching bag/useful sexual device. i guess i'm not that big a fan of angry, nonreciprocal sex, so i'm glad that aspect seemed to be improving. before he was arrested, anyway! i'm sure that will do wonders for his disposition. i did enjoy your making lucius the voice of reason, giving him relationship advice. i especially enjoyed that he took the advice. and am looking forward to hermione swatting ron on the nose with the rolled up newspaper. ; )
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, Severus is softening up a bit... accepting what it is. It's not that he doesn't know what the Bonding means - he just hated being trapped and not in control. Yes, he's - well, oops, there is the slight problem of being arrested... his disposition is basically going to ... guess! \/Oh, Hermione is ging to be one pissed off witch! You'll see...Lucius is ging to be back - I've plans for him!Thank you for the reveiw.
I almost don't feel bad about Snape there in the end. It's sad that he's just using Hermione, so I certainly look forward to seeing how you'll develop his character. Your Hermione is not the typical one we read in fandom, and that makes for an intriguing read. Her guilt in performing the charm and her youth has her quite overwhelmed with the situation, and I look forward to seeing her develop beyond that state.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Snape is going to be dealing with a lot and will see just how strong and wiling Hermione is in trying to make this work - but he's really testing her. No, this Hermione is only 18 or so, in her first real relationship and she's Bonded to the man - not someone her age but a man - with a past and walls and layers and stubborn... her guilt and her innocence as well as her youth does have her feeling a bit overwhelmed. She will surprise him and hopefully not too late...
oh wow. How's Sev gonna get out of this one? Maybe it's his bad karma for being such a shite to Hermione :) I mean, can't the man managed to give her a little satisfaction in the process? Would it really kill him to be pleasant, at least during sex?? I guess I hope his being caught isn't karma after all or they'd undoubtedly never see each other again - as Sev would surely rot in Azkaban LOL
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Oh, wel, this is for twenty years of bad Karma then... but don't count Hermione out - she is about to step into her element. A campaigne! Nope - she'll see him in jail Tee hehehe you'll see.
I was hoping Ron would tell Hermione (or even Owl Snape) that it was not safe for him (Snape) to come to the Burrow, as Aurors would be watching. Ron was feeling guilty, after all. Oh dear. I can't blame Snape or Hermione for being upset or acting poorly. After all, it is a shock to both of them and they haven't had much time to asimilate the idea. Especially Snape, who thought he was having some great dreams, and then pow! he's bonded.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Pookah, Oh, so true. You so get it!
Ron didn’t send an owl cuz he wouldn’t know where to send it and Pig might have taken all night!
Thank you for the review.
I like that something Lucius said has sunk in to Severus, and he went back to return the favor to Hermione. That will help him in the long run if they can just learn to get along. And stupid Ron always fucks things up.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yes, actually Severus is just coming to terms and realizing that he's being a jerk. Lucius is a true friend to him, and pointed out what Severus didn't want to hear.Ron, silly boy!
You write the best smut mystery author! Angry sex, grudge sex it does not matter either way! A naked Severus makes readers happy. Of course as soon as Hermione and Snape reach a tenative truce it gets blown all to hell. Ron & Rita are in big trouble bubble. Cannot wait for the next chapter!!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Wow, thank you! Yes, I do like a naked Severus. and Yes, just as he is starting to accept things and make an effort - Ron and Rita - well, more Rita than Ron really, messes things up!Thank you for the reveiw. I'll try to post again asap
What a place to stop! An evil cliffie to be sure. Let's hope things will improve for them and Severus gets cleared.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Would I have it any other way? Sorry abou the clffie - I'll try to post the next part asap
Lucius giving Severus relationship advice was priceless!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
What are good friends for? Besides he is happily married, and Sev is staying in hs home since his recovery. But yes, relationship advice from Lucius I thought would be cute.
Oh Bugger... Ok I don't like the way that Severus is taking and not really giving anything to Hermione until that is he gets relationship advice from Lucius ?!?. However, I feel sorry for him getting caught in a moment of inattention by three thrice blasted aurors... I hope Hermione makes ronikins life hell... after all he practically dropped the rest of his family in the royal doodoo.
Looking forward to an update on Severus' plight and how this will affect both Hermione and Severus if they can't do the horizontal tango ~smirk~
SS/HG forever Sav x
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Plight-Trothed Bride)
Yea, well, he’s still a bit off at being trapped by Hermione, so he’s still being a selfish git. However, Lucius did knock some sense into his thick head. Hermione’s reaction is actually borrowed from canon… and comes up in the next chapter. The rest of the family isn’t in any trouble. Just gotta get my next chapter betaed and I’ll post it. Thank you for the reveiw.
