Reviews for The Long Wait
I don't recall the last time I had a good cry over a story. I am so glad Osiris didn't die and that everything came through in the end.

There was no way I could kill Osiris. He's too special to me. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.
I sympathise with Snape. I too have stood for hours in front of Flaming June. For decades, it has been the center piece of the Museo de Arte de Ponce, in Puerto Rico. Growing up in Ponce I was often at the museum, mesmerised by the beauty of the painting. You do feel you could touch the fabric, hold it in your fingers!! It a sensous piece. You made a good choice!! I believe it was a the Tate on loan for a while(?).

I was given a poster of Flaming June many years ago and had it professionally framed. I love it. I never get tired of looking at her.
Angst ahoy, girl. I like the situation with Osiris and Crookshanks. Very nice set up. And as a person who loves to torture her own characters insanely, I have to appreciate the torture you've put them through.

Osiris and Crooks are my two favorite characters. Although, I can only take credit for inventing one of them. I'm glad you liked what you read. I'm not big on angst, but sometimes it works well to just add it to a story line. I don't like to add it for the sake of just having it there.
If I was in Snapes shoes just the other way around, I would not be OK with him going to lunch with two old female friends without me. I would want to be there. I guess it would be a territory thing. Maybe not the most mature response in some people's eyes, but that's how I would feel. It does'nt sound like they've had any talk about how she plans to tell Harry and Ron her lover is the dredded Snape before they see them as a couple. Why wouldn't she ask him to come along and tell them she's bringing someone very speacial to her, to meet them. Now being Snape, I admit that he would probably enjoy spying on them and watching their reactions when she spills the beans, so to speak. I've only ever been with one person and I have been married to that person more than half of my life. I admit my feelings would be hurt if he didn't invite me along. I would wonder if he didn't think he could have as much fun if I were there. Keep in mind I'm married to someone who doesn't like to go anywhere except the antique mall and doesn't like to do anything but go to yard sales, and I do niether. But he doesn't go with olf female friends. My husband would just be truely relieved I didn't ask him to go along. He would make sure I had enough gas in the car, fill it up if I didin't,and then give me $40 extra dollars in case wanted to do anything else. Seriously. Yeh, it's just wall to wall fun and romance around here.

LOL, well look at it this way, at least you have someone to go to antique malls with and yard sales and not have wall to wall fun with.

Sweeeet! and so romantically hot! I am quite ready for more Coleridge as well! Thank you. Great chapter!

I'm very happy you enjoyed this chapter. Lemons are always difficult for me to write. I thought adding my favorite poem would make it more romantic.

Fantastic ending - what a love story and what a way to write it - I loved it and cannot think of any other thing that would have made it more perfect.

I'm very happy you enjoyed it. Thank you for leaving me some great reviews.
LOL- I can see why Draco would have wanted to see Ron like that - it would have been funny as all get out. The birth of the baby - so special. Good chapter.
Crooks and the bird are a riot. I loved how he proposed to her - it was so romantic.
His hearts desire and her hearts desire - now the healing can begin and Ron is in deep trouble.
Great chapter with Crooks saving his friend. I can see Hermione closed up even with Severus helping her. The potion may have saved the baby but not her heart.
Oh my how heartbreaking - her child is almost dead and now Severus knows. This is all so heartbreaking.
Well - the whole scene with Crooks and the Raven was just plain funny as all get out. I loved how the Raven said now spill it four eyes - too cute.
Poor Hermione - she is breaking apart - this cannot be good for the baby and she is not taking care of herself. I am affraid for the health of her child.
Great conversation with Draco - he is about to miss out like Draco said. I cannot wait to see how you fix this.
Great thing to do - having Crooks and the Raven team up. I can see that she would avoid telling him and then running when schools over - time is running out for the two of them.
Dear lord- I can see her running if things do not change and I can also see her just saying that she will tell him to Draco and Ginny and not.
Oh no - pregnant and on the outs with Severus - I can almost see her leaving the school before she starts showing if nothing changes between them. I can see her running to get away from the pain. Cannot wait to see what you write.
Dear me no - he is lashing out with all his glory and poor Hermione - I can see her bursting into tears after leaving the great hall. Poor man - poor woman.
Great chapter - I can see him following her - he is a wizard and a wizard is often more territorial than a man. She is his and he wants everyone to know it.
Oh my gosh - what a erotic and romantic chapter - the whole bit of it was just wonderfully written and the wake up call was just - WOW.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)
Thank you! I have a very difficult time writing erotic scenes. I just feel odd writing it, like it sounds like a cheesy romance novel LOL. So I appreciate your comments.
Great chapter - well at least she did not try to hide her feelings when he went into her mind - at least he knows that she is for real and then ending of the chapter where he carries her to the bedroom - so romantic....
Loved this chapter - the second kiss - and the whole flue conversation with Ginny and Draco was great. Good progression and good meddling on Albus's part.
Great chapter - loved how the raven helped her sort the supplies - it gave him purpose like the man that he once was and gave her a new friend. However, since he was in her mind - did he see what she felt for Severus and if so is he going to spill the beans.

Osiris is more of a gentle prodder. He knows when to keep his mouth, I mean mind shut.
