I am nearly breathless with anticipation.  Off to chapter 14!

Albus is such a transparent so-and-so.  I wonder if there is anything special going on between him and Minerva?

Draco cracked me with his "AHA!" moment.

Thanks for a lovely chapter.

Yes, first dinner and now lunch!  It's VERY NICE.I love Osiris' sense of humor:  “Ha, ha, ha. Keep that up and you’ll have to start walking around here with an umbrella.” Beth

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

I love sarcasm, and I was able to put plenty of it in Osiris.

The story about Osiris is very original!  And a warning to all unkind wizards in the way they break up with a young lady they've been squiring. So far their outing has gone beautifully.  Now I'm off to find out what happens next.Beth

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

I grew to absolutely love Osiris in this story. I did want his story though to be a lesson. It takes nothing away from us to be kind.

I'm glad Ginny and Draco both know about (and are supportive of) Hermione's feelings for Severus.Beth

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

I always liked the idea of Draco and Ginny being together.

I am soooo glad Hermione asked Severus if she could help him with brewing the potions for Poppy!  This could lead to all sorts of interesting things... like asking "her to accompany him to dinner this coming weekend; after all, she was a colleague now."  Woo hoo!Beth

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

Severus is coming around.

LOL— this moment is wonderful.  “This door leads to my private stores.” He turned to her and raised his eyebrow. “Although I am quite certain you remember them being in a different location.”

However— this moment is priceless!  “I did not know,” he said as he took another step and leaned towards her. “You have just confirmed it,” he purred. “Pity I can no longer take points from you.” Then he did the unthinkable: he smiled, then walked past her and headed back to his office.

I'm glad that Severus did "casually" give Hermione a recommendation to the head of the Potions Department at the university.

Well, Hermione's first meeting with Professor Snape went a lot better than I had thought it would.  Good for her for not rising to the bait when he had remarked that he "must begrudgingly accept [Albus'] decision.”Beth

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

She's always been a clever girl.

"He quickly drew his mind back to that moment those many years ago. Was it Hermione’s face he had seen all those years ago? No, he shook his head trying to free his mind of such things, knowing it only to have been an image and nothing more." Can it be that Severus has already seen Hermione's face in the Mirror of Erised? My, my... Albus is even sneakier than I thought!  *iz grinning*Beth

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

OH, maybe. :)

I see that Dumbledore is still up to his old manipulative ways.  I wonder what he'll have to say for himself this time?  LOL!

Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive.  Like Osiris, I have a bad feeling about this, too.

Thanks so much for such a sweet, wonderful (sometimes angst-filled) story. I love the Osiris/Crooks dynamics as well. Great story!

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

Thank you for taking the time to read the entire story!  I have some sequals here if you are interested.  I just couldn't let Osiris and Crooks go. lol

Hermione never quite forgave Ron for what happened

yay!!

poor Argus though - he doessnt deserve the hate he gets

Much to the surprise of most in attendance, Ron was nowhere to be found.

Methinks Ron got away very lightly. it's likely that Hermione will deign to speak to him again, which is the real tragedy. She should have hexed him so that he didnt have use of his balls for a year and then made his penis sing the Little Teapot song (with suitably modified lyrics... i'm A Little Penis, Short and Squat...) whenever it got erect for the next two years *and* never spoken to him again.

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

She didn't let him off lightly.“Okay, you’re going to make me say this, aren’t you? She hexed his balls so far up his arse, they are now hanging out of his ears. Not only that, but,” Harry shivered for a moment, “they’ve got curly red hair, which makes him itch all day.”

Response from lucyferr (Reviewer)

Oh i certainly read that and thought it was good of her to keep her promises. i just didnt think it was adequate.

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

LOL, I would have done worse, but I figured it would not be in Hermione's character to really go off on Ron.

Response from lucyferr (Reviewer)

Alas! Sad but true!

I will attempt to satisfy my bloodlust with this fancy icon of an (i'm told) irate mob ...

"I swear the man must shit yellow lemon drops. ...with something that just regurgitated their breakfast into some little chirping twerp’s mouth?"  I about died laughing when I read that!

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

I'm glad you had a laugh.  I try to add as much humor in my stories as I can.

"No, there was no way Professor Severus Snape would ever give a rat’s rump..."    hehe rats rump  (at first I thought it said rat's dump) ^_^

Response from ancientgirl (Author of The Long Wait)

LOL, that would have worked too.
