I am a grateful fan of Ms. Rowling and of her overwhelming Byronic Character, Severus Snape! Please check out the first chapters of each fic (except for "How Can I Tell You," which is on Chapter 2) to see pictures of the Heroines.
Admins' Note: Livvy6 died suddenly on February 22, 2012, leaving behind her husband, six-year-old daughter, and seventeen stories well-loved by the TPP community. All who knew her—including those in Harry Potter fandom and all of us, here—are richer for having known her.
Requiescat in pace, Livvy. Always.

Indeed Severus is in the fire but, I think it will be good for him. I hope he will come to see things in a different light. Through observing Hermione and not being able to speak to her he may come to see what she has seen in him and I think it will also serve to solidify Hermione's feelings and help her to rebuild her trust in him in a more objective view.

It will be good for will see first hand how she is treated and how lonely she really is.Thanks,Livvy

I think Severus has had an epiphany. Now what is he going to do with it? And I think he had better watch his back where Ginny is concerned.Hermione will have a long road ahead of her and it will not be easy to find out the man she worships is the man who healed the scars from her body.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
I think Hermione will be even more shocked when she finds out he never meant the things he said to her.But yes, there is something going on with Ginny that is very interesting. Thanks,Livvy

The last two chapters has been rarely severe to read and comprehend to me.I doubt that Severus will be able to help her recowery presently . After he save her ,he menage with his rought word to destroy her complitly . I wonder how he will able to convince her that ewerything he told is a lie . How he will be able to live whith his guilt and help her meanhwile whithout conversation ( he is forebidden to speak to her). She is clearly menage to turn her love in to hate , and I can blame her . Can wait for next chapter.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Well, he's only forbidden to punish her. He will be speaking with her after a while. There will be a lot to deal with and there will be a twist that will shake everyone to the core and place everything into a new perspective. Severus will have to lay his soul bare to Hermione and prove with his words and actions his love for her and his guilt over gurting her. It will be a process. I hope you can find it possible.Severus cannot heal Hermione, you are right. Hermione has to heal herself and stop placing Severus on a pedestal who knows everything and always is right. Again, It will take time. Thanks for reviwing and continuing with the story. I appreciate your thoughts and input. Thanks,Livvy

Yet another great chapter. And i'm real appreciating the quick updates. I'm hooked on this story. Quick question? Does DD know how Severus really feels for Hermione or is he just being blind thinking he only cares? x.x
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Dumbledore knows Severus loves Hermione and wants to salvage the relationship, that's why he is being cautious and gentle with them, not wanting to spook them. Now there is another situation that won't be revealed for another couple of chapters that is going to completely take the story for a turn! Dumbledore already knows of the undercurrents but not the entire situation, so he is really being cautious. So if it has seemed Dumbledore is being soft- he isn't. He knows there is danger within the walls of Hogwarts that could get them all killed.I'll continue to update as fast as I am able in the queue. Thanks!Livvy
Response from Nessa (Reviewer)
Within the walls of Hogwarts, but who? (Obvisously your not going to answer that lol) I feel things are going to take a twist then. x

How is Hermione ever going to get better? This was a great chapter, but for someone who is sooooo observant DD was quite thick were Hermione's situation is concerned.I'm looking forward to more!!!gab

Dumbledore is aware of something that is going on that we are not aware of. He is playing it cool, waiting for it to manifest itself. Yes, Hermione will get better, but these things take time. Thanks,Livvy

Another powerful chapter.I understand those readers who are angry with Snape. He has been a real ass. But I also feel sorry for him. He did not mean for this to happen.“You care deeply for her. So deeply that you would rather she hate you with all the emotion she has built up for you these past two years than feel anything else towards you.”That about sums it up, doesn't it. There we have an emotionally scarred man who is scared to death by positive feelings.Thank you once more for this wonderful story. /M
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Yes, Snape is scared to death. He doesn't know how to process the feelings Hermione evokes in him. Again, it will take time. Thanks!Livvy

He is an idiot. I don't believe that is enough punishment. But Albus always does things his own way, doesn't he?
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Oh, that is just the appetizer. Dumbledore knows there is something lurking deep inside Hogwarts and he is playing it cool for now. Severus is not done having to deal with the repucussions of what he has done.I hope you like how this will twist and turn around. Thanks,Livvy

OK, that explains it, but it doesn't excuse him.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Of course not! He will have to do a lot to atone for what he did. He's not out of the woods yet. Thanks,Livvy

Hermione may have been nearly catatonic before, but she came up swinging... literally. Her invective nailed the Professor to the proverbial tree as she made her point about his attempted Legilimancy.Severus has only begun to pay for his treatment of Hermione, and I can imagine how humbling and uncomfortable it will be for him to watch over Hermione while being unable to speak to her on Dumbledore's orders. And now the Dark Lord wants his pound of flesh from Severus, as well.Great chapter, as always!Beth

Thanks for updating so quickly! This was a very emotional chapter. Now, I wonder what Voldemort wants. Can't be anything good.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Of course not! Never is. Not that Severus will go to him. That would be suicide, nevertheless, Voldemort will find a way to him :)Thanks,Livvy

Wow! What an intense chapter! I'm so glad that Ginny was able to break through Hermione's wards and save her friend.Ginny really gave Severus hell. But some where along the line, folks will have to come to terms with the fact that self-mutilation was a choice that Hermione made. Granted, Severus said horrible things to her in trying to keep his own feelings manageable, and he should have found another way to channel his own fears, but as badly as he has behaved, it isn't as though the wielded the razor himself. This is a great, if disturbing, story, and I can't wait to read the next chapter!Beth

Thanks. It is true, he is to blame for what his part was, but Hermione will have to come to grips with herself and who she is.THanks for reviewing!

What is going to become of our Miss Granger? I'm so afraid for her... light headed, fuzzy feeling... and all that blood!!! I know Severus is trying to distance himself from the young woman he finds so alluring, but somewhere along the line he must find another way to handle his thoughts and feelings before Hermione dies from this desire to harm herself. This story is so frightening. I don't understand the compulsion, but I know it is an awful reality for so many, and I applaud you for addressing it in your narrative. Please let her get help soon...Beth
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
She will get help, but the issue is that she must want to help herself. She ahs been hurt badly, but still she has a choice. I hope you like where I take this. Thanks!Livvy

I know I'm terrible, but I feel sorry for Severus. He tried to do the right thing, he just handled it the wrong way and got every think cock-eyed. Hopefully he will learn from this and be able to heal Hermione emotionally as well as he did physically.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Don't feel bad. I feel badly for Snape as well. It takes a truly miserable person to treat others so poorly. He is a great deal of emotional turmoil and now the guilt is going to eat away at him. However, soon there shall be something unexpected to occupy his thoughts. Thanks,Livvy

These last two chapters where two of the most emotional and heart wrenching I have read in a long while. Your outstanding and vivid words left me crying in parts and so angry with Snape I could have spit nails, yet you gave me reason to hope that they can come to help each other. He will have to be compleatly honest with her to even hope that they can get past this. I knoew it wont be easy but I think they can. So looking forward to the next chapter.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Yes, it will have to take a great deal of openness and honesty-not something Snape excels at, however, love can make you do things you never thought possible, but it takes time. Thanks,Livvy

I expected to see some remorse but for Severus to be more recalcitrant towards Albus and the others. He has had a "lone ranger" attitude for a long time, it seems it would be hard to pull him in to an admission of fault. But as always you have done a fantastic job. I can't believe I just read the previous chapter not more than a hour or two ago. It's nice to have an insightful and caring Dumbledore back it seems so many stories lately like to make him out as a little more immoral than he really was. Keep up the updates I'm living for this story!
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Thank you! Dumbledore will keep his eye trained on Severus. There are things that are going on behind the scenes that Dumbledore is mildly aware of, so he is being cautious until they manifest themselvs. There is a lot of danger inside Hogwarts. Thanks!Livvy

Well, the proverbial poop has hit the fan. It was nice to see Hermione react in anger instead of coiling up and assuming everything was her fault. Of course, this is just the beginning and her state afterward was a bit frightening. I was actually cheering for Albus here. I rarely do that. I can only assume that by observation on Severus' part will come understanding. Hopefully it occurs before a) she kills herself, b) Voldie kills him, or c) hell freezes over.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
Yes and it is only the beginning. Snape will see things that will shame him and then a confrontation with Ginny that will leave everyone ready to pass out. This is only the beginning. Thanks,Livvy

Was SO happy to see a new chapter so soon, but was disappointed it was so short. I love ths story! I hope we don't have to wait long for a new chapter. Keep it coming...

First of all, two chapters in one day? You'll spoil us. Now to the story. I adore Andromeda, Snape is lucky she didn't hex him, she is a Black afterall. I can imagine the hexes Bella and her sisters swapped. Did Dumbledore know what was said to Hermione before he called Nymphadora to his office? Or had he caught glimpses in Snape and Hermione's mind? Why was everyone ordered not to discuss it? The Hogwarts staff is not winning any prizes for the way they handled this.
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
There is something going on in the undercurrant at Hogwarts. More things than meets the eye. Dumbledore is aware of something happening, but not exactly what. He is trying not to be reactionary. More will be revealed at the next Ginny and Snape showdown. Thanks,Livvy

Now I'm worried about Severus. What's he going to do to himself as punishment?
Response from livvy6 (Author of Longing)
He won't have time to worry about that. Once Hermione wakes up, all hell is going to break lose, and Dumbledore will be in charge of what Snape will be doing on his off hours. Thanks!Livvy

This story is so amazing. This chapter was exactly was I was truly hoping for. It was exciting to see Ginny step up to Severus and call him on his shit. Seriously perfect. I know my best friend would've done the same thing. I can't wait to see how things unfold! Keep those chapters coming! Much Love ~
