That sucks! I know that you wouldn't kill our Severus and that he'll slither his way out of this somehow but it still sucks how you letf him chained to the wall like that. It's so cute how Hermione and Severus are dancing around eachother like this. Even though she doesn't know what happened you can still see the chemistry between them and its awesome. I can't wait to see what happens next (as always)! Much Love ~ Brena

I don't think they saw inside. They saw Dumbly arrive and enter. They saw him leave. Then Severus came out with the sword and disappeared. They put it all together, the nasty jerks. It is a terrible twist, I'll admit it. I'm just evil.
No, not fond at all. I hope he gets to live to see his Hermione again.

Great installment! I'm glad you had Harry see the memory of Hermione, and acknowledge that there was something odd about how Severus recalled his time with her. Wouldn't it be funny if Harry realized they fall in love before young Hermione does? I hope that the part where Severus is envisioning the blending of young Hermione and His Hermione is indicative of their memories and experiences blending when His Hermione returns to her present. Wonderful foreshadowing!The potion brewing scene was adorable, plain and simple. I wonder if sharing that close experience with Severus will make young Hermione have a deeper, more heart-wrenching reaction when she find Severus wounded during her 6th year?Speaking of 6th year, could Lucius' eagerness to show his loyalty be shared by Draco, resulting in Draco's assignment to kill Dumbledore, or will Lucius still do something it offend Voldemort to the point of exacting revenge by giving Draco such a dangerous task? And wouldn't it make for a great catalyst for future events if unwittingly another Horcrux came to be in the possesion of the Malfoy family, perhaps as a 'gift for Mother'? A future reign of possessed terror, anyone?I can't wait to read the next Chapter. Keep up the kickin' work.

! Lots went on here, huh? I think Harry will wonder, but not put two and two together about Hermione in the past. He's got so much else on his mind right now!I have to thank you for reminding me about the 6th year scene when Hermione finds Severus passed out. I had forgotten about it, and wanted to include it, so your mention was timely. ;) *switches to story and types furiously.*Lucius will push for Draco's involvement with Dumbledore. He wants his kid to be as influential as he is. Mwahahaha!What a great and completely evil idea to have a Horcrux remain. Sorry, that's not the plan here, but it's a wonderful idea for a story.As for the merging of the two Hermione's, it did forshadow their merging memories in a way. It also represented his memories and thoughts on both of them becoming one as she gets closer to the age of His Hermione.
I so love this story and I love the fact that you kept Sirius alive. And Neville getting his shot at Bellatrix. Great stuff!

I do think that the teachers' hands were tied with threat of dismissal if anything happened. But without knowing who stole those quills, it's hard for her to seek retribution. Mwahahaha!

Eeew, icky Sirius and Hermione will not fall in love. He's got other things in his future anyway. Dun, dun, dun, dun! The Horcruxes are going to be found, and Hermione will go on her extended camping trip in year seven. As for the return to the past... you'll have to wait and see. Everything will be revealed. I loved the little deviations from canon. Especially Neville getting Bellatrix! and Severus saving Hermione from the Toad. However, why on earth didn't Severus just Oblivate Harry when he saw teh memory of Hermione teaching? Seems like a recklass thing not to do?
