What would happen if Severus found out what his life would be like as a Death Eater before he got the Dark Mark? What would happen if Hermione was the one to tell him. AU SSHG A time turner fic.

I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

As I mentioned before, I was very much looking forward to this "ride".

. Things will pretty much start off with a bang with Petunia. Come to think of it, she's a lot worse than Severus temper-wise, isn't she?

I'm glad we will see things first hand. I loved the DADA teacher, she is very kind. Perhaps Severus will introduce her to someone nice.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thanks! That DADA teacher must be the most understanding woman in the entire universe! I'm sure she'll find someone who'll appreciate her.

Very original, deb, sticking with Severus. Will we hear from Hermione at all? Either way, intriguing. I wonder what Severus will say to Petunia, and how that will change things. I just LOVE how you are exploring how the world would be if little things were changed. Good job!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
We will hear from Hermione, but it will be the pre-time-travel one. We'll follow her growth at Hogwarts. We'll see how just a few small changes can affect things that people would never even think of! Thanks kizzy. Glad you like!

I'm really looking forward to seeing the interim years. Great story.
Author's Response: Thanks! Hopefully you'll enjoy the changes a trip back in time makes.
The ride is good, I wonder if threatening Petunia will be a good thing, or turn Harry into another Dudums, which would make him probably take Malfoy's hand in friendship instead of turning him more towards Ron. Looking forward to more!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Oh, let's hope it doesn't go south and Harry turns into Dudums. We definitely don't need two of those! I do think you're right, though. Draco would definitely be more appealing to a Harry with that upbringing. Thanks! I love hearing your opinions on what may happen.

haha. I'm totally one of the reaers that expected to go right back to hermione. But I look forward to severus' journey. Lead on, captain! :)
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Heh, heh. That's what usually happens, right? But look at all we'd miss if we did that?
Response from baseballbabe122 (Reviewer)
Indeed. I suppose all of the changes now that hermione's visited the past would be a bit too vast to write into the story via flashbacks only.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
You hit the nail on the head.

Very much looking forward to reading how history will change now, because of Hermione's coming! Can't wait for your next!

Stupid Voldiebutt! :(Can't wait to see what happens when hermione gets back to her own time & what Severus will be like! :) Thanks for the great update!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Stupid Vodiebutt indeed! He wrecks everything! Things will definitely be different when she returns and she will have much catching up to do, but we won't see that part of the story for a while.

Oh No! Stupid Moldie-Voldie! This is so sad! I can't believe they're apart now, and I feel awful for Severus. I can't imagine what he's feeling inside seriously. If I had to wait for my husband for 25 years I would more than likely go insane. I hope he holds up better than I would! I can't wait to see what happens next! ~Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
I had to wait for my husband to be together with him for almost a year because or work constraints. That was almost unbearable. I couldn't imagine 25 years. It's almost too long. His angstiest moments are in this chapter. He's found a way to survive without her, not that he's happy about it. But he does have the hope that they will be reunitied eventually, unlike with his pining away for Lily.

Oh I can't wait to see how Hermione and Snape manage when they see each other in the future.I look forward to seeing what happens between Snape, Malfoy, and Voldie.Do we get to see how any possible change with Malfoy affects Draco?Oh the possibilities!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
We will see a lot! We're following Severus on this journey, so you'll see a lot of the changes that take place 'first hand' as it were. We'll see Lucius and Draco. Some things will change, some won't. Thanks!

Oh, bugger. Poor Severus, and poor Hermione. I'm almost afraid to see what happens. I'm hoping for a happy ending, though.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
One happy ending, coming right up. Oh, I can't promise you that at this point of the game, however much I'd like to. I am very fond of happy endings though.

Wonderful chapter! It was very emotional, sad yet hope remains. I found it much like real life in some ways.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thanks! It's always nice to see some realism in a fic about magical people who never really existed, except in a book, in our minds, and our dreams.Severus has worked through much of his pain and he will be able to survive now. That is hopeful.

I suppose she would have had to go back soon anyway, or she would have aged too much by the time she got back.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Yes, she probably could have hung around for maybe another year. Much more would have been stretching it. But to have it all thrown in their faces like that was heartbreaking for both. They had no time whatsoever to prepare.

What a clever idea to get Hermione back into her own time! If she had stayed longer, she probably would not have gone at all, and that's not what you intended, I suppose...
Response from Muggline (Reviewer)
(forgot something): Moreover, the fact that he made her go and she made it very clear that she loves him and doesn't want to leave him also means very much. I am very curious to read how his entirely different motivation for joining the Dark Lord - and Lucius' swayed opinion for that matter - will affect those years ahead.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
If I had my heart's desire, she would have stayed with him forever. But she really needs to return to her present as herself, not an older version. Thank you for your compliments. There's lots of changes in Severus' future. Too much to cover as a flashback. Get ready for some fun with canon.
Response from Muggline (Reviewer)
*jumps up and down, clapping hands and laughing* oh yesss, that's exactly what I was hoping for!

I figured it would take something drastic to make her leave. Poor Severus. Knowing it would happen, thinking your ready to deal with the seperation is nothing like the actual thing. But did Hermione's time with Lucius change him enough? Did it change Severus?
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
You were absolutely right. And as you said, the real thing is quite different than anything he could have prepared for. Did they change? They already have some, haven't they? We will see more of her results as the chapters roll along. Mwahahaha.

Oh, wow! I literally had tears in my eyes as I read their parting. It's so powerful and poetic! One of the things that easily happens with TT fics is that Hermione goes back for a dumb reason, and it just seems so hurtful. Kudos for coming up with a powerfully heartbreaking reason for their immediate separation. Even more for keeping their physical relationship limited. I don't know if it was intentional on Hermone's part or what, but I think it is going to make their reuinion all the sweeter.I like that you told us about Sev's life after she left, another thing we don't see too often in TT fics. Oh, the wonders that await Hermione in her new world. I'm eagerly anticipating discovering them with her!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Thanks! I tried to make it as moving as possible. I'm glad that came across. I think that unless something drastic had happened, Hermione just might have stayed forever, no matter what Dumbly had said. As for Severus, 25 years is a long time. I really want to delve into his feelings and help readers 'feel his pain.' There's also a lot of twists in history to cover. So, you may get the hint that we won't be seeing Hermoine for a bit. Well... this Hermione.

I had been wondering how you were going to make her go. Nice one. How sad for Severus. I like that you've shown his side of things. I've read many other time-turner stories where we follow Herminone, and don't get to see "first hand" how Severus deals with things. Excellent!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
There's much more of his side to come. By the time Hermione gets to her present, you will have a good idea of mostly everything that has changed in her past.

Yay!I haven't had a chance to read in a while, busy with school, but I'm glad I got the last two chapters together, I didn't have to worry about a cliff hanger!

Oh wow, I was so scared that she was just going to let him end it. I actually started skimming the lines because I was so worried!!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful story! I can't wait to see how it all turns out! Cheers! ~Brena

Oh dear, I bet Lucius' nose is right out of joint now!
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Oh, it is. But remember, Hermione and Severus were pretending to date before all of this, so he shouldn't have been so surprised. In reality, he probably wasn't, he just didn't want detention and thinks he should get special treatment, not Severus.

Of course, Lucius's world revolves around Lucius. That was funny. And yes, I'm glad Hermione managed to make up for it.
Response from debjunk (Author of Time's Treasure)
Hermione seeing the light was definitely a good thing. I think that for Lucius, he will always be self absorbed, no matter whether his views on Muggle-borns change, changing the future, or not.
