It's good. I thought it was good that he'd already made up his mind to break it off and then she had to talk him down. It made for a good tense scene!! Lucius and his problems...though not many would read a story where everyone is happy, and things all ways work out for the best would they? LOL

Although I love when everything is hunky dory and everyone is happy, it's not very realistic. And it's a bit boring too.

I'm glad Hermione was honest with Severus. I suspect that honesty is the only thing he respects.

That's a good point. Severus does respect honesty. And Hermione, in general, is a pretty honest person. Once she decided to tell him the truth, she wouldn't have held anything back.

I normally don't review stories until I've read the completed work, however I felt that I should make an exception for this. You've done an excellent job fleshing out the romance and courtship between Severus and Hermione. Instead of boffing on the first date like some stories you've shown a much more realistic view of relationship building. It was also a nice choice to acknowledge that it was Severus' time as a guilt ridden, self-loathing spy that hardened him rather than having him like that from day one. Your use of Lucius as a way to show how detrimental family instilled prejudices and the need to live up to those prejudices are is wonderful as well. Keep up the good work

I am very flattered that you took the time to review, especially since it's not the norm for you. I've strived to make all of this realistic. Well, as realistic as a story about wizards, magic and time travel can be. Lol. Obviously, some aspects of Severus' personality have been instilled since birth, but I do think that his circumstances, his pining away for Lily, the horrid things he did when he joined the Death Eaters, and dealing with the consequences of those actions, were the things that made him the man he became. I think we all deserve second chances. And if they have to come about through time travel, so be it. Mwahahaha.Thanks so much for your review!

I couldn't keep them apart any longer. Hermione is lucky he hadn't hardened his heart, as you say. I don't think he would have relented, had he done so. We'll find out more about Lucius in the next chapter.

Charming chapter, seeing Severus dressed as a vampire made me chuckle. I feel bad for Narcissia who is purposely being made jealous by Lucius.

Subconsciously, he knows Narcissa will forgive him just about anything, and he takes full advantage of that and does what he wants. The man is filled with the need to self indulge.It was kind of fun creating everyone's costume. Severus just had to be a Vampire.

Curious, why didn't Dumbledor insist she change her name - if she went back in time, the timeline with her self would overlap? wouldn't it?Lucius and Severus are friends, not Avery, McCuliber and Rosier? ok.

As for overlap, if she stays in the past, the lines would surely overlap and she would be in two places at the same time. (I think that would cause everything to explode. Kapow!) I had to stop reading for a few minutes because I laughed my *** off thinking of Lucius dressed as Robin Hood. Good story telling - when is she going to tell him? I'm ready to slap her silly!!! Okay, kidding, but I am anxious to get them together...

Lucius' motto is to take from the Mudbloods and give to the Purebloods. Well, hopefully not for long. I think we're all ready to slap Hermione silly. I'm sure Mallory was ready to and would have if she hadn't been dragged to dance. Thankfully, Hermione knows good advice when she hears it. It won't be long now. Like, maybe, in the next chapter. (But don't tell anyone, it's a secret!)

I am so glad Narcissa told Dumbledore and they saved him. I knew you wouldn't have killed him off. There would have been no sense in the story then. Thanks for a great update!
