He really has made a heck of a mess.  Well, I guess he didn't put it off until after they were married, did he?  I felt really bad for Hermione.  And I wanted to smack Severus.

To be quite honest, I don't want Severus to be able to fix anything at all. At the moment I don't care if he regretted his words once he said them, he did spoke them and he planned to do so. There are just to many fics where Severus is allowed to treat Hermione as a "Mudblooded whore" and then in the seccond to last chapter serves a sloppy "Sorry" and all is forgiven and they live happily ever after. Sometimes we open our mouths and says unforgivable words, and sometimes we mus live with the fact that our own stupidity, cruelty and lack of respect for others feelings does have consequences. His regrets aint deep enough to try to fix his mistakes the minute he realised what he has done.  No, he has a party to host and guest to entertain, so he can fix his free fuck when the party is finished then none of the people he finds he can show respect and treat like decent human beings gets to know that he has sink so low that he mingles with someone as worthless as Mudblood Granger. As you probably have guessed by now, I really feel contempt and anger for your Severus. I don't wish him a happy ending, I want him to suffer, I want him destroyed just as he has destroyed Hermione. I want a Hermione who has some unce of selfrespect and backbone. I honestly can't see how you can fix this without making her look like a complet idiot with no brain, not to mention making her the cheap (free) whore Severus treats her as. (But I would be one happy reader if you did manage to fix it.....:-)))

Looks like she'll leave before he tries.Looking forward to developments, hopefully lots and lots of unsuccessful attempts at grovelling.

Oh, no.  First of all, you made me cry.  Second of all you made me want to get a gun and put a bullet in that man's head.He's totally mistaken when he thinks it's "too soon" to go back in and try and make amends.  It may already be "too late!"  But the only time to go back in was immediately, and not to leave her there like that.Oh, worry.  Sigh.

Severus should be glad he's a fictional character, because in Real Life he's probably bolluxed things up way too badly to be fixed.  If I were 30 years younger I'd complain that this was unrealistic, but people do this sort of stupid thing a lot.  I even told my daughter that a man should be allowed one 'stupid break-up' ( along the lines of what Severus just did, although the men don't call you a whore in my experience)  Of course, that is one per  lifetime, not one per girlfreind.  We should each get one 'get out of jail free' card to absolve us of one stupid break up.  But if a fellow makes a habit of it- don't even date him. But then, Severus already had his stupid break up- if you count loosing your best freind/potential girlfriend by mouthing off and becoming a DE.  Looking forward to more! 

I'm loving this story. Severus really mucked things up this time - stubborn bastard! I'm hoping Sev gets there after the party before Hemrione leaves. I took special notice of that last line - that she hadn't unpacked her trunk yet - so she can easily disapparate on a whim. Hopefully she's tired enough from her travels that she'll stay fast asleep until Sev can come and convince her to stay. :)

Quite honestly, if that were me? He couldn't.  Not ever.  Not even if I wanted him to.  I would not put up with a man who thought he could say that to me ever.  But since this is fiction, and well written, I will continue to read.  

“It’s not over until I say it’s over.” That's grounds for hexing! He deserves it! GRRR! That really pissed me off. I HATE men who do that. Either you are a frigid bitch or a whore. HBV, I hope you let Hermione really stick it to him-make him suffer dearly for being such a prick! You know you've written a good chapter when you can really piss people off! LOL :)

I'm surprized she hasn't broken anything yet, like his face. will Hermione be kind and understanding or are we going to see some major fire works? Can't wait for the next chapter.

Oh, my ... he's really cocked things up, hasn't he? I hope Hermione is strong enough to walk away -- at least for a while. He needs to grovel and beg her forgiveness for treating her so abysmally!I know this chappie just posted, but I'm already looking foreward to another update.

Wonderful addition! I love the insight into Snape. He's so cold and detached - makes me wonder about Shannon. How he "lost" her. He seems to be somewhat damaged from that relationship, as he's so hesitant to open up to Hermione. The added element of the Malfoys is intruguing - I adore Narcissa, and can't wait to see more of her!

And what an empty experience for her. It was so impersonal. Sure he gave her an orgaasm, but it was almost detached. What gives?

HM! Very interesting chapter. I'm highly intrigued by all the pictures, and Snape's apparent hang-ups. My guess is the two are related in some way. Look forward to more!

Wow - Hermione was right. That was rather cold and impersonnal. The fact that he jsut plopped down and went to sleep left me gaping as if I could look right at him and scold him for it or something. LOL I understand he jsut wants a no-string-attached affair, but he almost seemed to be throwing it in her face - he could have at least been a little friendlier about the whole thing instead of basically abandoning her directly afterwards (by going to sleep). Ah well... something tells me he'll come around. :)

I like the banter between them and I felt a pang of sorrow from Hermione's parting remark of 'talk being all there is' when it comes to her. :( I'm sure Sev will be able to change her mind about that though :)

I like the start of this and I saw a snippet on LJ from SW's pmimpage so I know there's some Sev/Hermione action (yay!). Skipping along to the next... ... ...

Snape was a bit of a cad in this chapter.
